  • Do we really need OnlyFans Content?

That is a really interesting topic! I have been thinking about this for a long time.

I am only subscribed to VR porn sites such as SLR, VRBangers, POVR and from time to time Naughty America (just for VR since they cast girls that I like). Since trying VR I really don't "need" mainstream porn sites anymore other then maybe rarely pornhub once a month.
Therefore I think with my subscription I pay a lot of money for porn already.

I also use Onlyfans and subscribe to some girls from time to time for different reasons. I am absolutely willing to support my favorite porn girls to a certain degree.
My reasons for OF are, that some girls just do OF today like Riley Reid, Mia Malkova and so on. So I at least buy a scene if they are not ridiculously overpriced. I'm not saying that the work of the girls isn't worth the money, but from a consumer point of view scenes for $25+ are just to expensive when I can get a monthly subscription for a website.

Although OF may be better for the performer, I think as a consumer the platform is bad. The Website is slow and has a horrible layout, overpriced scenes which are hard to find afterwards, The player sucks. And in my exüperience so many girls obviously use bots or other people answering their inbox and constantly ask for more money and tips, even if you just complent on their work or just bought a scene.

Since OF or fansites are here to stay, I just wish these performers would still shoot VR porn with other websites, since OF can't offer that.
I understand that they want to own their content and enough people are paying for it, so i doubt the landscape will change. I hope VR gets even more successful so sites like SLR can grow and offer a great alternative to attract OF performers more

    That is an undeniable fact.     I think supporting your favorite performers is one positive aspect of this whole debate. It can be seen as a way of showing appreciation for their work and what they've contributed to the industry, as long as it's done consensually and with full awareness of what you're paying for. Subscribing to a retired porn star's OnlyFans account and getting access to their self-created content can be a great way to show support without being fooled into thinking you have a real-life relationship with them, I like how ThePointyEnd refered to it as "Parasocial relationships". This noble aspect of support can be compared to what we see on other platforms like Twitch and YouTube.

            As far as I have noticed, I believe that the excuse of leaving the porn industry for OnlyFans due to being exploited is one of the biggest clichés, at least for US models. Today, porn is more regulated than ever, and everything is done with contracts. Using agencies is always a good way to ensure all their rights. Some models do know their value and feel confident to go self-booking. This cliché could be more likely real across Europe, especially in Russia where porn production is illegal, and some industries/agencies do exploit models, but mostly at their debuts.

            Overall, the way I see this exploitation is that major companies/agencies push their models to exit their comfort zone and try everything possible in porn (DP, sex machines, BDSM, some abuse, etc.), making them believe that this is the successful career of a pornstar. But in reality, they only care about satisfying the needs of their subscribers to keep them around. I think these models should be clear with themselves about what they are comfortable with and have enough courage to decline what they disagree with.

            For those who claim that certain content is only available on OnlyFans due to restrictions imposed on mainstream companies, please enlighten us with an example or two. I hope you are not referring to the type of incest sex content where girls call their partner "daddy", because what I've seen out there is far from being creative and actually quite abusive. Furthermore, there are many mainstream companies, such as Throated, Facial Abuse, Hoby Buchanon, and many others, that produce content that can be extreme and even life-threatening for some models. So what additional creative content could they produce and release on OnlyFans and can't be found nowhere else?

              As an example, in the early days of Onlyfans, before they started restricting everything, Jynx Maze started a page so she could put up crazy content that she liked to do but couldn’t do on mainstream sites.                   I see a lot of models jumping ship to OnlyFans only recently and that is heartbreaking tbh, especially when you see one of your favorite actresses bounces.                           but the girls HAVE more control of their finances...a few are grinding away at 20-35k a month. they can bank content that will be distributed later and effectively take as many vacations/breaks as they need to...and still get paid

It's indeed a business for them and they don't give a fuck about you - the loyal fan - at all. I was subscribed to quite a few bigger and smaller stars and it's almost the same everywhere. However, there are companies out there that produce this specific category of 'Scat porn'.
