I mentioned this another thread, but it is worth repeating: How about a button to filter out AI scripts? You gave us a toggle to see only AI scripts and filter out human ones, but I'm pretty sure that a majority would like to be able to filter out the AI scripts and only see human ones. A few (angry) commenters have said so explicitly.

theHobbit Hard disagree. Models are not sharing their bodies with us out of the goodness of their hearts and thus deserving of only praise. They are selling their bodies and performances to us and are very well compensated for doing so. Their bodies are their product, like it or not. That was their decision, not mine. Product that I am subbed to is open to criticism.
"Poor Connie" makes a lot more money per day than most of us do.

Hairsational A master bedroom in a nice house with plenty of natural ambient light
vs
An ugly, bare, unappealing green or grey box that looks almost like a prision cell and is lit with artificial lightExactly.
For visuals to make the jump from 3D porn to an artificial (virtual) reality, the mind requires immersion in the scene. This is why I keep harping that you guys are moving away from VR and just shooting flat porn in 3D. It's about the experience, not just "naked chick in whatever environment".
It seems to me that you all are over-engaged with the technical side of VR and not up to speed on the perceptual and emotional component that makes it great. Take a look at this paper (written by my colleagues):
Suspension of disbelief is key to achieving the immersion necessary to achieve presence and emotional engagement. Otherwise, it is just 3D porn. As any advertising exec (or psychologist) will tell you, it is the emotional experience that makes the sale and hooks customers, not the tech.

rerun119 It really feels like you guys made great immersive scenes and got us all here. I bought a lifetime membership because of it. Then just moved on to the next thing to bring in people different people (which I understand) BUT forgot about all of us that came here 2 years ago.
This is exactly how I feel. It feels like a bait and switch, honestly. Same goes for the arguments I keep seeing repeated:
- Why can't you just let other people have what they want?
Well, because I chose a site because it offerred what I wanted, not what other people want. And when it did offer what I want, but now offers what other people want, I'm unhappy.
- There are plenty of videos that you like.
Yes, but I've seen them already. I am paying for new content that I like, and now there is less of that.
justsomedude101 SLR is the only studio that doesn't have a brand of what I am signing up for. Different directors make wildly different porn.
I don't want to sound like I'm minimizing your complaint, but this is exactly what SLR and SLR Originals has always been: different production teams shooting different styles of content in different ways.
Yes, but it's more than just style. Lately, we have several different teams that shoot with wildly different QUALITY. Poor lighting, camera angles, editing, and direction are not issues of style. There often doesn't seem to be a standard, such that a director can do what they want within certain boundaries, but each video must conatin 'x' and not contain "y".
justsomedude101 Try doing the same exercise but for, say the last 3 months instead (the timeframe in which Passthrough releases have been a regular thing). The numbers might look quite different.
Over the last 3 months (excluding anything less than 1 week old and censored JAV), both PT and standard SLRO average 2.6k likes each. Again, though, Molly Little and Serena Hill skew this a lot - PT without them averages 2k likes. I would argue that either of those actress' scenes would have gotten more likes in standard format than they did in PT. While the numbers did change, I still don't think PT is doing "extremely well". It seems about the same as others, with the caveat that it excludes a fair amount of users from even watching them, may drag the numbers down for popular actresses, and causes a fair amount of frustration for people who cannot enjoy them at all.
The juice doen't seem like it's worth the squeeze, imho.
I do appreciate your response.
HughMungus Your setup is fine. The Quest 2 is only capable of grainy black and white passthrough - that's one of the reasons I don't understand why we bother with it, as the Q2 is the dominant headset among users here.

justsomedude101 Passthrough content has been hugely successful/popular
Over the past 6 months, regular SLRO videos (excluding censored JAV experiments and harems) have averaged approximately 3.1k likes each. In the same time period, passthrough SLRO videos have averaged approximately 2.3k likes each (Molly Little and Serena Hill skewed this average a lot - without them, PT averages 1.8k likes each).
I wouldn't call that hugely sucessful or popular. I really don't understand why SLR is pushing this so hard unless it is the reduced set cost. This is especially frustrating when I feel like it annoys more people than it pleases (though I obviously don't have the data to prove that).

rerun119 You can watch it with a handy, and not see the machine at all. The machine is generally in the part of the video where the model is (ie on your dick) so the model projection is opaque and blocks the view of the machine.
That said, it still really sucks. Once in a while the passthrough can be semi-realistic, but those moments are very few, very short, and don't consist of much of the film. It's 90 - 95% gimmicky and unrealistic mess with occasional flashes of semi-realism.
FYI - this is coming from someone who invested $1500.00 in a Quest Pro with color passthrough because I really wanted passthrough to work. It just doesn't. It's a big disappointment, and I can't fathom why people still ask for it - especially that one dude who puts passthrough numbers in every. single. scene. Sometimes those are vaguely passable, but most of them result in ghostly, creepy, models with weird hair, missing limbs, or no eyes. I guess if you like horror porn...
justsomedude101 Thank you for your consideration and reply.
See, that's the problem: We are in the mid-2020s now. I like Christy Canyon and Ginger Lynn too, but we aren't in that era any more. It's better to move porn - especially VR porn - forward, not back to classic era flat porn.

I noticed that there is now a button on the script page labeled SEX TOY SCRIPTS (AI) that shows only AI generated scripts. Could we get a button that shows only human scripts? I'm pretty sure most of us would like to filter out the AI scripts, not filter out the human scripts.

RealcumberScripts do you or others completely avoid Passthrough AR scenes even if they are scripted same day with Sex Toy use?
Yes, avoid completely. The passthrough is completely unimmersive - scale is awful, quality is inconsistent, too many camera position changes and awkward cuts - as many have noted in comments and discussions. Watching them without the passthrough activated is ugly. Perhaps the CGI backgrounds might help in the future, but you still have a model in grey pajamas in an unimmersive environment. VR porn is about the immersive experience. This is not what I consider to be VR porn, but no one seems to care anymore. I only responded because you asked - although I am surprised you don't know this already. It isn't a matter of "try it, you might like it". We already know we don't, but we are stuck with 1 out of every 4 videos anyway. Franlkly, they should give people who subcribed for VR a 25% credit and block the AR from them.
RealcumberScripts Serena looked amazing and very sexy in this one
Yes, she was skilled and beautiful. I also liked the pace the scene was shot at - quite the artistic improvement. It's a shame it was wasted on AR - especially (as countless others have also noted previously) this is her only scene.
MODS - please note that I only responded here in response to a direct question by one of your staff addressed to people who may not like passthrough.
Eroscripts has a free script available for this, too!

doublevr Do you just pop by here to troll? Do you understand that this attitude is why a lot of us communicate with you in ways you disapprove of? Has it occurred to you that someone who is allowed to be the bully because they have power to silence others is still a bully?
Subscribers giving up on even bothering to communicate with you is not something to celebrate.
doublevr The forum is such a lovely place now
People are still repeating the exact same criticisms, you've just bullied them in to kissing your ass while they do it. Glad you seem proud of that.

doublevr VRFanService is gone for totally unrelated reason. It's gone because there was no way to keep things going with him. The same like some people got banned from this place recently. It's just got too much for no reason.
"for no reason" = "he disagreed with me"
How do I know? Because he repeatedly agreed with ME in various other forums where SLR is discussed about all the things we have said in this thread that @doublevr tries to hide away from the rest of the forum. That's why we liked him (and why he was so popular) - he made VR the way the way it should be made.

rerun119 Doublevr starts a new thread "How do we make SLR cool?" EVERY POST says the same thing. Make multi stories, make the scenes more immersive, make longer intro,
That thread made me laugh as well. The whole thread is literally people making our arguments.
The whole thread is very telling about his motivations - he has pretty much ignored everyone telling him the same thing, over and over, because he isn't interested in fixing the site for people who gave him their money. He's already looking to the next buck by trying to ReVoLuTiOnIzE tHe MeDiUm1!!!!! by somehow thinking that short clips or some cheap nonsense is what is going to make VR the next big thing.
