Mutiny First off I really like your PMV. They are next level editing, amazing work. So I think you can make some really cool stuff.
I do hope that doesn't just mean lazer guns and and special effects in every video. That is not what makes a believable video to me. Story telling is what makes it believable. Like maybe picking up a girl at the bar then going to get something to eat at a late night dive restaurant where she is grabbing your cock under the table. A lot of us have had stuff like that happen to us IRL. I know this means moving the camera a couple of times and it takes time but that is what would make SLR better than anyone else. I still believe if you did these things then people will see them as amazing and the numbers would be huge.

Also Taboo VR Porn has talking in the first part of the scenes. I really like it cause you can build the story a lot easier when the guy (me) talks back. I'm sure some people don't like it but for me it really works great. Plus it's POV which is a lot better than just watching a guy talk that is supposed to be me but im watching which makes no sense.

Not at all. I do intend to do some crazy, stylized, experimental stuff for sure (cause it's fun and I only get one ride on this planet so fuck it, let's get weird), but what I'm really excited about is creating spaces where the performers can express their own genuine sexuality and desire through storytelling, without being locked into one awkward position (and, in the case of the male performers, literally unable to breathe out loud).

I don't want to say too much about specifics because I'll be figuring this out as I go, but one thing I'm excited to try is using the BYOJ programming to create Choose-Your-Own-Adventure type stories, where the choices you make literally affect the outcome.

That said, I'm approaching all of this with a student's mindset. I want to play, experiment, try, learn, and go again.

I think Non-POV could work better if the storytelling explains it and is even a key part of it. Just some stupid examples; something like stepping into the animus from Assassins Creed putting you into a different POV, or how in GTA V when you switch characters the camera zooms in from satellite-view to a character and their POV. Just saying there could be ways of doing non-POV parts that make sense storywise and possibly enhance the experience. It'd be more like watching a show where you end up in perhaps multiple POVs.

If you're going to do moving cam "without a person" floating-POV though there has to be good stabilization and not too fast movements (especially with left/right panning). I think how StasyQVR does it is usually pretty good. (Sidenote they're also good about showing the entire female body and not just constantly the same boring (too)-close-up positions.)

I'm not saying 'story-explained non-POV' would automagically make videos good, but at least it could show some effort to make story-focused non-POV more immersive in a way. I'm sure there will always be people who hate it and just want stuntcock-POV gonzo VR but for those who enjoy immersive storyline stuff it could be cool.

That said, story stuff in current VR scenes is already abysmal 95% of the time so I don't see it seriously improving any time soon. It's like there's a rule in porn that all story stuff has to be terrible. 😵‍ Everyone is kinda stuck in the same formula both in "stories" and cam/body positions and sure hardware and limitations play a part perhaps, but imo what could be unique to VR in storytelling is underutilised so experimenting is fine. (imo better story-immersion is more interesting than haptic suits).

Aside from experimenting, here's also my +1 for less 'pumping out as many scenes as possible' and more 'quality scenes are better'. Too much regular stuff coming out that doesn't even get basics right.

Yeah hate it when they do that. It's rare to see cowgirl shots where they let her lean forward and long hair is freely moving, there aren't many scenes that do this well. It's probably very tricky to control as it can be too close to the camera and blocking too much of the view for sure, but if done well it's really great.

Wanted to refer to the perfect cowgirl scene (CzechVR 212 Horny Morning with Lucy Li) and I checked to be sure but it's only the intro part where she climbs over the table. Even in their most top rated scene they had her tie up her hair for the cowgirl shots. 🤦‍♂️ The forward leaning booba action in that one is still amazing though. But now I can't remember the scene that did have it with free moving hair... damn.

Aerowen this is what makes good JAV stuff really special. They use this camera angle where the girl is on top, but the camera is up in the air a bit (almost like your seated but not as close as usual seated cowgirl) and you can see their face looking at the camera while also having the whole body in shot.

doublevr If you point out specific issues with particular scenes we can work on that. I specifically talked with every team if there is anything we can level up to get better production. Nothing major was coming to mind

asking your producers to critique their own work is how you decide what needs improving? no wonder some of them keep producing mediocre to poor scenes with sub-optimal camera placement, bad scaling, boring locations and other issues. even nash's historically stellar scenes have taken a noticable decline since the return to 6k. worst of all it appears that nobody at slr has noticed or nobody at slr cares.

I don't disagree with your followup, you bring up some good points, and I think having behind the scenes or making of components are great additions! I don't know if I should be offended or not! 😂 But Dream Team's POV scene was one single scene, and it is the one that won the AVN. It's from start to finish the whole enchilada. The "Sneak Peek" you are talking about is the Voyeur extra. It's released separately because SLR understands not everyone likes to see mixed POV/Voyeur in the same scene. So if your original point is to have extras and supplemental footage released as separate parts, by all means, I'm fine with that! But it sounded to me you were basing splitting parts into 2 separate ones based on file size (which is what I disagreed with). Glad to have cleared that up.

doublevr 20 releases a month doesn't mean anything when the majority of them are SLR Trans, SLR Passthrough, SLR JAV, SLR Grannies, SLR Midgets, SLR Amputees, etc. All this expansion into other genres and experimental stuff should not count as Originals releases.

I'm a subscriber too, and I'm happy to see a portion of their production being used to make high quality videos for some of the genres besides "Teen Girls". There are literally tons of those coming out monthly.

Transgirls, Mature/MILF, BBW, etc, are huge markets in the porn industry and have a lot of fans. Just because you personally don't care for them doesn't mean that no one else does. If SLR wants to be the biggest site for the whole VR market its a good idea to provide quality content for these fans as well.

Will65 Non-POV VR is still VR though. It's not placed in the real world, it's still a virtual fantasy - it's just a fantasy some people don't like but that pretty much true for any fantasy. POV and Non-POV porn can even exist in the same scene, it's e.g. true for every MMF+ scene. Nothing spectacular about that.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why people don't get that changing the product your customers have paid for AFTER they've paid for it is a bad idea (so much so that we have terms for it, like bait and switch). If I subscribed for 3 Nash-style releases from SLRO every week, and then SLR still releases 3 SLRO vids a week, but they consist of 1 SLR Trans, 1 SLR Passthrough, and 1 SLR JAV, it shouldn't take a genius to see that I didn't get what I paid for that week. All the comments noting how many "mainstream" or "teen-girls" videos already exist are irrelevant - I am paying SLR to deliver the content they promised when I subscribed, not to change their path to every shiny new thing in the name of diversity while ignoring, diluting, or degrading what I paid for.

Multiple subscribers have been making this point, and I have yet to see it addressed fairly, without obfuscation.
