Does SLR really think that the second they put out something it is going to be perfect? That everybody has to agree its the greatest thing to happen to VR.
I just don't get why when they get feedback from customers about what they could do to improve it. They get mad. Ignore any comment that you seem to think is trolling. Although I don't think anybody on here is trolling but instead telling SLR what they think about it. Isn't that the point of starting a discussion. Maybe it is to just get praise and a bunch of Thank you Thank you.

How long until everybody can just get AI PT at home for free? How long until everybody can get AI scripts at home for free? At that point is anybody going to pay a higher price for cloud space?

If AT PT and scripts are really that popular then it's bound to happen. Training ML models for this isn't difficult and someone will build a tool or service that can do it at a fraction of the price SLR wants to charge, with none of the restrictions.

If anyone is interested in 2D AI passthrough, RunwayML can do it for free. You don’t need to use any credits for the green screen effect which is really excellent. You put a few markers on the objects you want to follow and the AI will track it throughout the video (max. 15m vid/720p for free)

renstimpy11 haven’t tried it. Even if you pay the export resolution is 4k max. Assuming the tracking works it’d still be disappointing.

Edit: actually you could export it as a mask I believe, might be able to apply it to the original vid, not sure.

There's this recurring theme in multiple forums threads that I find very annoying:

        • Announcement is made
        • Some users make constructive comments
        • Some users shit on the announcement: it's not enough, too late, too expensive

I find that really disheartening because it turns what could have been a good conversation into a shit show.

        1. SLR is a business, its purpose is to make money. Services like Drive are what's called a "moat", it secures a competitive advantage while unlocking new revenue streams. They get to keep that moat until someone can offer a passthrough AI and script AI software for cheaper (or free). AFAIK, there's no competition yet.
        2. SLR Drive has included costs: R&D, operations, storage and compute. Therefore there's an optimum to be found between cost and revenue. Van Westendorp's Price Sensitivity Meter is a good way to price things: what price would be too cheap, cheap, acceptable, expensive, too expensive to consider?
        3. Product vision: what's the purpose of the product and how to shape it? Generate revenue, benefits, acquire new users, retain existing customers, etc?

In my case, given the state of things, I'm only interested in the scripting AI functionality, cloud storage is a nice feature but I could do without and I will not use passthrough AI. Maybe hyper and SLR sextoy may change things.

I'm very much looking forward to the SLR Drive feature, and I can't wait to try Script AI. I already have a lifetime subscription, and I would realistically use drive to script a couple dozens of videos. Within two years, that would result in about $15/video to get an AI script, which does seem on the pricey side, but provides a service that no one else does.
Options to download AI generated script, delete old videos and upload new ones would provide value that would make the service worth it.

@Kieshi @doublevr @xoxo I'm still waiting for a resolution to the scene I spent a credit on that did not get processed correctly. https://www.sexlikereal.com/drive/scene/id/67656ee985eb280359736e8c

I've done as instructed and posted the link in other threads, but I have not heard back on it. I've asked for updates here and in other threads but I've not gotten a response (mostly writing that off due to the holidays). However, I'd like to know if the scene will get reprocessed or not. If, so, when and if not, will I get a credit back? I would like to know how similar situations will be addressed in the future before I decide to invest more money into this new feature.

I tried to valuate and quantify the proposed benefits to compare with the proposed Drive price. An almost wholly subjective and most frequently arbitrary analysis follows.

To encourage streaming, SLR has proposed a $9.99 charge for downloading an AI PT. Divide that by an arbitrary metric of 3 years to indicate the difference between owning and renting for a month gets you a value of $.28 per AI PT scene per month.

No price has been proposed for downloading Drive AI funscripts. My general conclusion is that the price will be similarly high to encourage streaming. Its worthwhile to consider that Drive scripts will be partially equivalent to commissioned scripts -- both involve the buyer's choice in scenes and both have a limited buyer population with which to spread cost/profit. That would lean towards an inflated price. On the other hand, there is the impact of prejudice against AI-generated content to bring that price down. On top of that you have the own versus rent calculation. Disregarding the further array of potential variables lands me at an incredibly arbitrary $.50 per AI script per month.

The storage by itself has no use for me, but, as an enabler for the AI services, there is a value associated with more space. 30 credits with 30 GB would be unusable. My personal view is that you need about 10 GB per credit (20 GB average video size with 2 credits used per video). That means a 30 credit allotment would need at least 300 GB. How much is a 67% increase to 500 GB in storage worth? No idea, so I'll value it at an arbitrary 33.5% markup.

        15 credits used on AI PT X $.28 = $4.20
        15 credits used on AT scripts X $.50 = $7.50
        $11.70 + 33.5% storage upgrade = $15.62

So my wildly arbitrary valuations come pretty damn close to the proposed $14.99.

What is a good guideline for choosing a video for the Drive Ai Passthrough for best results.
Before uploading... Excited to do it by end of December.

All I can guess is a contrast between the primary model and the background and that's about it.
Models with different colors of skin against what background?
Most successful background color palettes of the videos in general?
Can you share these similar general guidelines with other answers with the members on the actual drive page, with a FAQ there?
Minimum frame size/resolution? Is there one or does this depend on the content quality of the video?
I read the blog posts trying to find this type of information.

A little advanced now, also specifically I'd love to join some much shorter films together first, if that's possible on a Mac, like to concatenate them? Why not have a queue available for Drive to add shorter films to, and the Drive Upload can put them together nicely for us?
I'm kind of a newbie besides watching, downloading, transferring to headset.

Uh, nevermind. I realized after the fact that basing a valuation of AI PT on a deliberately inflated price was not a good approach.

This rabbit hole got deep. I give up.

          doublevr

I have my two Drive AI PT credits used and I am pleased. I am ready to sign up for $15/month for the 500GB and 30 PT AIs. Let's just get this done with, who do I send my money to? Take it!

the AI generation pricing is fine, but $10 for an offline render is so ridiculous that I just learned to do it on my own with Davinci + magicmask lol. there aren't that many scenes from other sites that I want PT for to justify another monthly sub just to store those scenes

lolitovtb I thought that was more like the non-subscription per video cost. It would be awesome if we could download the videos with AI PT from the 30/month payment plan.

doublevr Scripts AI is coming soon, initially supporting streaming only for Handy devices.

              @doublevr
Will AI scripts for Drive videos be downloadable?
Can Premium Scripts subscribers use their 3 AI script monthly allotment on Drive AI scripts?
              Thanks

Congratulations to the SLR team, I uploaded my videos and they worked perfectly. I hope all of this will be in production soon.

                My opinion:

                • I only use AI PT, I wish the processed videos could be downloaded, $9.99/video is a price I would gladly pay (I don't know anything about video editing, but I have enough local storage)
                • I don't like recurring payments. I would prefer a lifetime payment for storage.

Thank you very much for making this technology available to us. 🙂
