Call Quality Estimation:
Overall estimated call quality score based on round trip delay, jitter and packet loss rate.
4.5: Excellent (Imperceptible)
4.0: Good (Perceptible but not annoying)
3.0: Fair (Slightly annoying)
2.0: Poor (Annoying)
1.0: Bad (Very Annoying)

Your Results: Average Score: 4.39, Minimum Score: 4.39,

Packet Loss Rate(%):
Packet loss happens when a packet does not arrive, arrives out of order, or arrives too late.

10.0: Might cause frozen video and broken audio.
= 2.0: Might cause low video fps, and audio quality might be affected.
< 2.0: Video/Audio quality will not be affected.

Your Results: Average Loss(%): 0.00, Highest Loss(%): 0.00,

Average Round Trip Time(ms):
Time it took to send a packet to server then receive it back.

300: Might cause unnatural delays in an audio conversation and disconnect between audio and video.

Your Results: Average Delay(ms): 20.1, Max Delay(ms): 23.0,

Average Jitter(ms):
Inconsistent arrival of packets between two endpoints.

50: Might cause certain packets of information to drop or sent out of order, leading to a jumbled conversation.

Your Results: Average Jitter(ms): 1.64, Max Jitter(ms): 7.00,

Any effect from re-installing codecs using instructions above?

CraveDastry hello; personally (and I'm not the only one, maybe headsets other than quest): since December deo lag; so for me personally the only solution: use an old version of deo; and it doesn't lag.

CraveDastry Dang, I'm not sure what else to try. And this stuttering happens at all resolutions, or just at the highest?

it plays just fine at max resolution for 10 minutes or so before the problem starts

CraveDastry Hmm, and once the stuttering starts happening, does skipping the video forward or backing out and restarting the video temporarily fix this?

Still seeing same issues on my Quest 3. Site is basically unusable. Can’t get more than about 5-10 seconds into a video and it hard crashes / boots me out. Yes, clearing cache and does nothing. Net speeds are fine. Local files in app work fine.

CraveDastry Dang, I wish there was more I can do to help here.
@diwanga , for you, does the stuttering problem happen also only DeoVR via SteamVR? Or are you also seeing it on DeoVR via Quest PCLINK (deovr from quest store)?
I wonder if it's specific to DeoVR on steam....

netcat don’t know what any of that means. Launching the DeoVR app from the app list. Trying to watch a video is futile.

diwanga There are three main ways to use DeoVR with Quest 3:

              1. Native DeoVR. Launching DeoVR on the headset. No computer connected.
              2. Oculus PCLINK. Connecting to a laptop with a cable or AIRLINK, then launching DeoVR from the quest store.
              3. SteamVR. Connecting to a laptop as above, but launching DeoVR through SteamVR.

Which one leads to stuttering for you?

That should definitely not be happening. Probably not a DeoVR bug because I was using it just earlier today on my quest 3 and it worked fine.

The good news is that it's a fairly short list of things to troubleshoot for the native case. Start with the following.

                1. Did you already check that DeoVR is set to H265 and not H264?
                2. Did you check if changing resolution to a lower one makes a difference?
                3. Run the network stability/packet loss test I linked earlier. Do it on a laptop with wifi from the same location you normally use your headset.
                4. Which country are you connecting from? Any VPN in the middle?
                5. Go through the basic stuff too. Re-install DeoVR. Check hard drive space and make sure there free space. Verify there are no other apps running in Quest
                6 days later

Still busted. Literally pointless to try watching right now. I might get lucky and watch 1 video, then the stuttering and continuous crashing starts every 5-10 seconds into a video. Ugh.

                Hi everyone,

We’re currently investigating the issue but haven’t pinpointed the cause yet. To help us resolve it, we need more specific information:

                1. Your app version
                2. Specific scenes with poor quality
                3. Whether the issue occurs with non-SLR content, like DeoVR’s own library.

Thanks for your patience and for helping us gather the details we need to fix this!

Let me know if you’d like to adjust anything.
