Well, you guys say that pass through scenes do well on this site. Reading this and other forums, I get the opposite impression. But people that comment on forums are only a fraction of the user base. So if you say pass through is doing well, I’ll take you at your word.
As someone who doesn’t use pass through, I don’t want ruin the fun for those who enjoy it. But I do have a couple concerns.
First one is simple and selfish. There’s a lot of fresh talent in the Florida area. Unfortunately the main producer you have out there, mostly shoots pass through scenes. So many of the new talent I hope to see in there first, and perhaps only, VR scene is a pass through one.
I wouldn’t mind as much if the performer had regular VR scenes first. Then perhaps a pass through scene later. So everyone could get something they’ll enjoy.
The other concern I have is more of where the industry is going. I think pass through may possibly end up hurting the growth of VR. The industry has had a paradigm shift in recent years. With more and more performers going the OF route.
Among mainstream performers, I already hear VR is not the favorite type of scene for many of them. Can’t really say I blame them. The hours are typically longer than a typical 2D scene. There’s a strange camera module they have to stare at. The ladies have to do most of the work sex wise. And positions are limited.
My fear is shooting a scene in a green room , with a guy in a green leotard with a hole for his dick to stick out, is gonna make the pool of potential performers even smaller. Relegating VR/AR to even a smaller niche of the entire industry.
Maybe I’m way off base. And there’s no issues booking talent. And AR will continue to grow. I hope so. And doesn’t end up a fad like 3D movies or something.
Anyways, sorry if this post was a little off topic. Green screen only going forward? Yeah, I guess?
I just wish you had another east coast producer. So you could readily shoot both types of scenes with the east coast based performers.
Anyways. Thanks for reading
