  • Adding comments removal for content creators

Rakly3 I was literally told by SLR staff it's because i was being vulgar using phrases like "fucking" to refer to the sets. Specifically told that was the reason.

bobbytables I think they meant the attitude, not the specific word you used.

One of the “unhelpful” comments in the example studio thread linked above was mine - but only when taken in the context of that single comment. That producer has a long history of combative communication in more than just the SLR forum. He’s been awful on Reddit for a very long time. Congrats to those who watch/enjoy his content. I personally find it terrible — it’s actually a funny irony that one of his channels is Terrible this, Terrible that.

In any case, yes, the block filters introduced on the web SLR platform are useful in this regard. Look forward to full implementation on the headset app too. Hopefully channel/scene block statistics are shared with producers as its own form of data/feedback.

argyle43 Since he turned off the comments I stopped looking at his videos. That guy would get mad at everybody on here trying to tell him how to get better.

doublevr That guy is a clown. Unless you tell him he's amazing he gets defensive. I've given plenty of compliments but if you mention a single criticism or even a solution in the same comment where you heap praise on the video and he just gets super defensive and petty. It would be better to leave comments on and just hide them from him specifically so he can live in his own bubble.

It's funny how everybody knows this is built specifically to deal with the Pervrt guy.

So from now on we are going to see videos full of positive comments, and no criticism, because they will be deleted.

Are we in Russia or China?

Congratulations, this is the best way to kill a community....

Natch Congratulations, this is the best way to kill a community....

        Yepp. What he said. ⬆️

It's a pretty simple concept: People have ususally no interest to write stuff and to engage with other users if any of their posts could be deleted any time without any due process or explanation and if they could even be banned for simple writing something that doesn't please a creator. That's actually pure despotism.

That's why good communities have moderators enforcing known rules. Everything else is bullshit.

So the comment section will be basically worthless in the future, especially for those seeking honest feedback about a scene from other users.

There's few things more enraging than writing a long comment with honest feedback and finding out later that it was deleted without any explanation or warning. Paying subscribers should have the right to voice their opinion, good or bad. But with this system, it will be just another marketing scheme, not trustworthy at all.

Why even allowing comments in general? Just let the creators write a few glaring comments from fake users, it's pretty much the same result.

LordCrash So the comment section will be basically worthless in the future, especially for those seeking honest feedback about a scene from other users.

It is already a little like that, though. There are users like @n4meless8 who has the "SLR" flair in the forums going into the comments section on every damn video leaving fawning praise as if they were a user, and SLR deletes comments they don't like on their own stuff as well.

They don't want feedback, they want a [positive PR echo chamber.

Will65 Despite the fact that you complain about this quite often, I would encourage anyone reading this to actually take 30 seconds to look at scene comments yourself, since if you do you'll see that there are numerous negative and critical comments on every single SLR Originals scene.

Though I suppose that we could be playing 5d chess and maybe those are planted negative comments?

Though we do indeed often delete comments that are insulting to the performers (most often re: their bodies), guilty as charged.

spacepirate what stuff is that exactly? as far as i can tell all he does is try to hype every scene... even not so great ones

Hopefully that paints a clearer picture for you. If not I'd be happy to include more examples, since there are plenty.

            Thanks @n4meless8, I know @Rakly3 and I both appreciate you 😊

In general, good quality products attract good feed backs, bad quality products attract bad feed backs. This is the simple fact of life.Do you see any bad feed back for Mutiny videos? One sure way to improve your feed backs is to improve your products.Spend some time to watch good quality videos from eg. CzechVR,SLR,Mutiny and many others and LEARN instead of just keep on mass producing inferior videos.
On a separate note, imagine if the sellers in Amazon are able to delete any comments/feed backs they don't like....

If criticism can be ignored by content creators, there should be a way to remove their content from the feed. It's still a website only feature, right? When is it coming to the the DEO player?

First of all, what "SLR flair" are you talking about?

I swear I'm not some fake bot user... I'm just a perfectionist type of guy who wants to help the community. (And English is not my first language.) But I guess, I do get carried away with some of my comments. However, that's just my nature when I get excited and appreciate something.

Seriously though... I have pretty much all subscriptions when it comes to VR porn, but as I said in the past, SLR Originals is the studio that made me stopped lurking.

And it's just a way of showing my appreciation (I'm mainly talking about my posts in the rally thread). And besides, there's too much negative stuff going on in the world, so I just try my best to stay positive.

But here are some of my negative moments:

I also helped other studios. For example I wrote some scenarios, scripts ideas and other things for VRHush:

I know some people probably won't get it:

But If one of your favorite studios shot 60+ scenes (based on your ideas), I'm sure you will feel extremely grateful; it will take too much work to compile all my suggestions and ideas for SLR, but I'll try my best to name a few.

Honestly, I didn't expect other people to think of me this way. And technically, I could stop "pretending that I'm a real user" on the forum and the main site since I'm not getting paid for it anyway (my main job is in the Creative field). And maybe I would eventually stop... After all, nothing last forever. 🤷‍♀️

You can scroll through all my long reviews and comments here if anyone is still doubting my account...

              Rakly3 is a (paying) user.
I gave him the badge as recognition and appreciation for the stuff he does.

I actually didn't know about this until now (If you emailed me, I'm sorry if I missed it), but thanks, man!

              justsomedude101 Thanks @n4meless8, I know @Rakly3 and I both appreciate you 😊

              Mutiny

Thank you for these kind words, bros! It's nice to see other people appreciate my posts! But why is the rum gone? 😝🤜🤛

n4meless8 You were among the first to give me a warm welcome here (along with tons of insightful, actionable feedback), which set the tone for the great experience this has been.

                Appreciate you, brother.

                  4 days later

Mutiny I'm so glad to hear that!

I really enjoy watching your work! It adds more excitement with all the new experiences you are providing in VR! I hope you keep making more, so that more people can discover how awesome PMV really is, and at the same time, inspire other PMV creators to join the SLR. But the most important part, have fun with your future projects! 😉💦

doublevr Horrible idea, please don't. How about lots of SLR users 'hide" studios that censor comments. We can play this game too.
