Rakly3 And what happens if you only pay the studios for 10 minutes of streaming per month/user, after pushing the download users away? They earn much less money and won't offer their content anymore.
It doesn't matter to studios how you internally calculate your download and streaming times - they only care about the net result for providing you all the content and losing direct sales by doing that.
So you would ultimately have to raise the payment per streaming minute and won't keep the additional profit yourself. You only lose customers and push them to direct studio subscriptions, other aggregator sites or even piracy.
Piracy would be the worst case, because it doesn't only affect SLR but the VR porn market as a whole - that money is lost for the industry. But that's what happens if the industry fails to provide what the users want. They ask themselves why they should support an industry that doesn't want them.
At the end of the day, you only hurt your market share, by alienating a very active user group. The problem is that this user group is not only highly active in terms of downloads, but also in porn communities. And they will discourage new users from joining SLR. I doubt the saved bandwidth will cover that loss.
