thatoculusdude we have deepfakes next in the pipeline with all the legal aspects of it
SLR Drive Vision and Future
sogman there are no 12h or anything to fix. Will take weeks in better case.
We are building the whole setup to operate it. Works great for most videos. Some require extra work on the algorithms.
We don't hold liability for results for each token, but we are committed our best to make things work
doublevr THANK YOU. I built my toolset with Python and a lot of clever ways to refocus > dewarp > face swap > rewarp > paste back VR frames, and currently it takes me a few hours of full usage of 6-8 L40 GPUs for 40-50 minute 8K vids. The results are AMAZING, but the cost is a bit high. If you guys come up with something close to my solution and cheaper, I'd love you guys forever
Thank you SLR for this feature.. I uploaded and enabled PT, works fantastic.
would it be possible to introduce an archive option, which moves your videos to slower storage (like AWS glacier). Which should be cheaper and when you want to watch it, then you have the option to move it from archive to online. Maybe this can reduce the subscription costs..
thatoculusdude I mean I gave that info for good reason lol. If you have 1080p or lower 2D vids you want to try it with it works perfectly, I never said it would work for VR

adinihsan It works fine with vr.. You just have to select a mask twice Also if anyone knows whats up with this slr drive credits let me know. Before I deleted 2 dud videos, it said it would take 24 hours to get the credits back but they are still gone days later. Another bug, or just a feature?
doublevr No I dont mean replacing broken ones, Im just trying to clarify the note that pulled up right before I deleted the videos with credits applied to. It said it would take 24 hours for them to return to the account. What did that mean? it says
This action is permanent. Any scheduled AI requests will be canceled, and the tokens held will be refunded within 24 hours.
Should they return in 24 hours, or a month? I guess im not following

I don't think this refund functionality is designed to address customer dissatisfaction with the completed AI PT. And highly unlikely deleting a video that had credits spent on it gets you a refund--too ripe for abuse.
Parsing the grammar, it looks like the 24 hour credit refund applies to cancellation of AI requests that have not started the AI processing yet. IOW: if you accidentally submit an AI request or if you change your mind soon after submitting a request, then cancelling the request before the AI actually starts using processing cycles on your request results in a refund.
If you can actually check the quality of the AI PT, then its too late for this very specific refund process. I have no idea what the process will be to address shitty PT after the AI is done, but this probably isnt it.
doublevr
Is this just for the "free" tier of Drive? Or are you saying that customers who pay for Drive subscription/credits have no refund recourse if SLR delivers a broken product?
doublevr
That sounds like a challenging decision.
On one hand you'd get a rash of customer complaints if the credits they paid for did not result in an acceptable product. But that would be gameable--once you've watched an AI'ed Drive scene, just request a refund with a fake complaint. Is SLR going to commit staff to double-check if the refund is justifiable? Or will SLR just let it ride and end up with increased AI processing costs because the abusive user runs through 60 AI requests in a month?
On the other hand, unlimited AI requests will clearly result in huge AI processing costs--which are likely to be passed to the customers. I would imagine that this would make the AI queue long AF and increase time from request to delivery.
--
How about allowing for automatic refund requests but flag abusive users and remove them from the Drive program?
Or maybe allow a limited number of re-requests for each credit spent on a scene? ForEx: I spend a credit on scene Alpha and the AI PT is shit. I can submit an AI request for Alpha to run back through the PT AI a second time for free.

fuccaneer have you seen
Maybe indeed getting Drive subscription with unlimited PT AI and Script AI streaming credits
part?
There will be some very high threshold unnoticeable for a regular user with an option to get extra credits pack or upgrade storage.
With an option for paid downloads like 9.99 per PT AI render or script

oh yeah, that would be awesome. I didn't see the edit you made on the original post and mistakenly assumed that the increased AI processing costs would be passed on as a Drive price increase.
doublevr 500GB Storage for $14.99/mo including unlimited streaming only AI PT and Scripts.
I am 100% cool with that. Sign me up.
doublevr With an option for paid downloads like 9.99 per PT AI render or script
This makes me sad, but I understand.
With an option for paid downloads like 9.99 per PT AI render or script
glad to hear you will allow script download as well
but 9.99 for each? so if someone would want both like many often would, that would be $20 a video which is pretty high. Even hand crafted scripts dont go over $5 on slr. $10 for both would make much more sense imo.
thanks!

fuccaneer I mean all this is just way over complicated. They just need a pay once flat rate option with a decent credit amount prioritized over hard drive space. There is only so much space you need when you only have 30 credits, soon to be maybe 15 if you have a toy, lets face it. Not a lot. And soon as you delete someting as I am finding, its gone until a month passes. Thanks for clarifying the 24hr vs 1 month.
There are always those die-hard people who use SLR and similar sites, paying customers mainly... they end up on this forum. I have many many TB of hard drive space with juicy stuff collected from over the years. Havent really gotten this through to some here yet but for example, thousands of full length hq videos and I mostly skim over the top 10 or 20. Dont touch the rest. Most people are like me skimming off the top, except they have maybe a few GB of their faves. Its normal behavior. So I look as the SLR cloud storage and all I see is enough space to render a few videos and scrap them. Not long term cloud storage in case of the apocolypse. I can do that myself much cheaper, and still wont watch most of them more than once pr twice like most people, too much content out there. The cloud storage is just a holding space for videos rendered in AI and thats all we were ever excited about: the AI.
And I dont even know what this $9.99 thing is. But based on comments a few people in these forums have made over the past few weeks, seems like that is another price marketed towards people who "just want it now at any cost" and are ready to go right away. Thats kinda just ripoff language, and honestly I was excited about this drive thing for a while I love the SLR site and hope this thing can really take off and everyone signs up for it. I want to sign up too. But for me, a lot has to change for it to be a booming success VS just another site feature.
