No names, no corroboration, no skin in the game. On Alex's side, she had more than a dozen actresses go on the recored with their experiences, and put their reputation and incomes on the line for doing so. On the one side, we essentially have heresay, while on the other we have a preponderance of evidence. You could argue that it is still heresay, but the weight of that evidence increases with the number of independent and not-anonymous corroborations.

On the one hand you assert that girls have no power and are hesitant to risk things, and on the other hand you say that girls who don't risk things should be disregarded. Pardon me but I don't think you are here out of morality or ethics. I think you're here simply for the drama; Otherwise your own hypocrisy wouldn't be so lost on you.

Alex apparently has enough popularity to rally folks behind her to the point where serious allegations against her are swept under the rug. I agree that this “character” should have ended years ago….but honestly it’s not easy to know when is the right time to change to fit into the latest social zeitgeist. Me Too happened very abruptly. A lot of people who deserved to be punished were punished, but I would argue far more well intentioned people who made small mistakes were punished disproportionately harshly. None of us are perfect. I believe people deserve second chances in MOST(not all) circumstances. I also believe there are a large amount of people, which a poster above alluded to, that will ruthlessly weaponize accusations with a pebble of truth, while leaving out a large amount of context….merely to fuel their own advancement, and without any regard for the sometimes irreversible damage done to the one being accused. That absolutely sickens me and I find it disgraceful. And like lemmings(we’ve seen this countless times), the online cancellation mobs will, compelled by our most primitive, tribal instincts will revel in watching someone’s life being destroyed, discarding any apology or explanation as “not good enough”. Listen….we all watch porn. I have respect for the actors and people behind the scenes who make it happen. It’s clearly a tough job and I’d hope we all want them to be safe. But why are we putting these people on some kind of moral pedestal here? We have unproven allegations and we have people here and elsewhere giving them the ironclad legitimacy as if it was ruled by a jury. Fact is I enjoy the content. It makes me feel good. I pay for it. Sometimes I’ll pop in and suggest performers I enjoy watching. My engagement ends there. I really don’t want to say much more at the risk of getting banned….but the level of engagement some people seem to have with the opinions of people you don’t know and probably never will to accurately assess any kind of judgement of their character , strikes me as incredibly unhealthy.

That’s all I have to say. I understand why SLR made the decision they did. Pure damage control. Probably the right business move. But I do think this guy deserves a chance at redemption. Leave it to the courts. If it’s not something that the accusing parties are willing to bring to court, then are we even talking about a crime worthy of this type of social punishment?
