I have no horse in the race, and don't know all the details, but one obvious thing that seems to be getting ignored is that there are some females who engage in social manipulation and their primary fuel is beta orbiters.

As I read through a lot of the comments, it seemed to me that there are a lot of people speaking from alternate agendas, not the least of which being that if you don't support the poor, helpless female then you are the next witch for the pitchfork mob to focus on. The main accuser in this scenario seems to have been a co-abuser in her own prior scandal of abusing girls. Where is all the outrage and curiosity about that? From my comfortable objective position, it seems obvious that is not where the drama and brownie points are to be had, so that's just conveniently ignored.

In this scenario, no one knows the whole story. If the true agenda was a just and healthy environment, the whole story needs to be heard objectively - as opposed to a trial-by-media style mob; Otherwise, things may feel good in the short term, until the precedent of an unfair trial grows worse and worse, with more and more external agendas and manipulations. The person who wins the popularity game today will reap the ills of it in the future, and more and more people of good character will cease to participate, as more and more people with their own agendas will enter and hasten things into decline.

I don't envy the position SLR has been placed in. I admire DoubleVR for attempting to be the adult in the room in the midst of this massive food fight. I would advise to look at the big picture and the future, because the precedent set here will likely not end here, and will be subject to even more gossip, drama, mob idiots, etc. I would also perhaps let people know that bullying, from any side, will not be tolerated.

I don't know what the actual truth is in the Jimmy tribe versus Alex Coal tribe, but personally I don't think it's the responsibility of SLR to have to get involved. If there is a true concern about conduct on set, there are ways to address that without having to join the Crips or the Bloods in a never-ending, mindless, circular war.

And lastly, I'd point out that the victims of Alex Coal and her partner are being ignored by all the mob members here. Somehow all the people concerned about 'safety' and 'protecting the girls' don't give an ounce of fuck for those girls, and are all over Alex's Twitter sucking her feet. Funny how that works.

      Typical false equivalence. Please note that the person who accused Alex Coal posted screenshots of converstaions she had with anonymous individuals criticizing Alex's conduct. No names, no corroboration, no skin in the game. On Alex's side, she had more than a dozen actresses go on the recored with their experiences, and put their reputation and incomes on the line for doing so. On the one side, we essentially have heresay, while on the other we have a preponderance of evidence. You could argue that it is still heresay, but the weight of that evidence increases with the number of independent and not-anonymous corroborations.

                On the one hand you assert that girls have no power and are hesitant to risk things, and on the other hand you say that girls who don't risk things should be disregarded. Pardon me but I don't think you are here out of morality or ethics. I think you're here simply for the drama; Otherwise your own hypocrisy wouldn't be so lost on you.

                And assuming that risk has to do with whether someone makes their voice heard, is precisely why "trial by media" is a bad idea. Alex apparently has enough popularity to rally folks behind her to the point where serious allegations against her are swept under the rug.                             I agree that this “character” should have ended years ago….but honestly it’s not easy to know when is the right time to change to fit into the latest social zeitgeist. Me Too happened very abruptly. I believe people deserve second chances in MOST(not all) circumstances.                             Listen….we all watch porn. I have respect for the actors and people behind the scenes who make it happen. It’s clearly a tough job and I’d hope we all want them to be safe. But why are we putting these people on some kind of moral pedestal here? We have unproven allegations and we have people here and elsewhere giving them the ironclad legitimacy as if it was ruled by a jury. Fact is I enjoy the content. It makes me feel good. I pay for it. But I do think this guy deserves a chance at redemption. Leave it to the courts. If it’s not something that the accusing parties are willing to bring to court, then are we even talking about a crime worthy of this type of social punishment?
