They can always try it; if they can't pull it off, well, it's their choice to not shoot anymore, not yours or even SLR's. At least it's not the worst setting ever for them. 'Glory hole,' for instance, existed a long time before and is way worse than AR/VR from an actress's perspective.

petergriff I'm firmly in "believe it when I see it" territory when it comes to anything involving new concepts/longer scenes/more story focus.

Every six months there's a post about big sweeping changes but inertia is king in the porn industry. It's far too easy to fall back on old habits. Plenty of things have been promised before and then quickly forgotten.

This hits home. Was a sub for WankzVR in 2018 when a new producer (called Tofu?) vowed to shake things up and introduce more creativity by posting something similar to this thread. He did OK for a few months... now look at the current state of Wankz/MilfVR scenes, almost all of them 40-50 mins, vanilla, boring scenes.

Please consider making Non POV passthrough.
Having people fuck in your own room/bed is hot and add to the voyeur kick. Maybe you could encourage other producers who do more non pov to try pt.

...yeah, this would help with the PT issue of floating cock. The best PT for me so far is watching a show in my living room, getting a lap dance, etc. I'd have no issue with watching a sex scene, girl on girl preferably. Then the poor performers don't have to act to a camera, or dance around on a stunt cock, they can interact with each other, and be a bit more relaxed.

Also, the point about different positions needs to be discussed in PT:

• Clearly, the most immersion breaking points so far in PT are floating cock and having girls warped by disjointed perspectives. Both of these are mitigated by being in EXACTLY the same position as the male actor.

• Most people don't want to have to change position on the fly (doubly so if they've got interactives working).

• It therefore makes sense to shoot shorter PT scenes with just a single position, and add the position the male actor is assuming in the title (reclined, standing, seated, kneeling), so when the consumer is choosing videos, they can aim for the one they want. Or just metadata it.

Point being, keep PT simple. Short, sweet, keep the immersion. A dance. A fuck. Stop trying to shoot 45 min roleplay scenes. Concentrate the goodness. Make it more accessible.

And then you can concentrate the role-play goodness on the VR side of the studio. People are literally crying out for more, tearing up their subscriptions, etc. SLR knows how to foster good production, long scenes, immersive role-play. It's what i love most about SLRO's. Let that goodness shine by removing it from PT. Keep PT simple till the tech has evolved to compensate for all it's issues.

I would like to suggest like others on this thread have that instead of doing female pov in PT we can get voyeur boy on girl and girl on girl in PT, as well as shorter stripping, twerking, JOI videos in PT.

Just resubscribed , over all other studios, why?
My reasons:

1. Passthrough, nobody else does it. Keep doing it , with more girls, 3somes.
2. The other SLRO videos. True 8k quality is better than competitors. Lots of group scenes and hot scenes like the raw taboo cat one and kate blossom ones.

Rustam1990 Imho it's simply the nature of Western mainstream porn. It's about cutting expenses to maximize profit on mass-produced scenes because frankly most people watching mainstream porn just do it for a 10 min. wank - not watching a 90 min. cleverly planned out scene. It was just a matter of time before this mentality took over in mainstream VR after we had some years of fun. Now it's just autopilot and I doubt that's going to change.

It happened in 2D too but the difference is that in that market independent studios and creators filled in the void with actual creative scenes with longer stories, concepts, etc. and with large successes. We don't have that in VR - yet. The reason I can only speculate about but I think the issues are the market is to small and that VR/AR porn is nowhere near as easy as shooting a 2D scene. It requires know-how and expertise that aren't easily acquired. And it's expensive too.

jommy If PT ends up not being the next best thing then no real loss, there are plenty more videos available and a constant stream of new releases (not just SLR Originals either!)

I disagree with this notion that there's no risk in SLR being too gung-ho about PT. The main customer base is still VR users, and if a sizable group of VR users don't like the direction SLR is going, they will flock to competitors who focus on VR. Simple as that.

vrguy69 competitors are also intending to make inroads into PT. Where are you all likely to go lol?
