1. I don't see an issue that both laying down and sitting positions in the same video in AR porn. Imho the issue is that either positions often feel rushed and they are over before they started. So I end up having to loop it. Just make them longer.
2. I also don't like there's less focus on eg. other positions. Instead I feel there should be more work put into making those positions better for AR porn. I would like to eg. bang the girl on or over my desk or dinning table. It's fun.
3. In terms of VR vs AR... well I dislike the idea of focus on CGI background as I think the two departments should be completely separate. Issue here is the same as I see so much in porn... 'Jack of all trades but master of none' that ends up pleasing neither party. Just separate them and have a team or two that perfects VR and a team or two that perfects AR.
4. I like the idea of Modern relationship turning into a series.

Personally, I have no interest in pass through. But, when I received my Quest 3, I decided to give it another try. And after giving it fair shake. I’ve come to the conclusion that I still have no interest in PT scenes.

My main issue with PT is in order to make the most of it, you must put your body in the same position as the stuntcock so everything matches up. I usually watch my VR porn in one position. Usually seated. Having to constantly change positions during the scene doesn’t appeal to me at all.

I’ve read some comments by pass through fans that they usually only watch one or two positions. And skip the rest of the scene. Or turn off PT when the position doesn’t match to their viewing position. IDK, sounds like a waste to me. Not sure how I’d feel if I was a producer or performer. Knowing portions of my efforts are never watched.

And speaking of performers, I have to believe shooting PT scenes is some of the least sexy scenes you can shoot. VR is already a hard sell for some performers. I gotta believe this isn’t going to help. Instead of growing VR porn, I feel this will have the opposite effect.

Now, I’m not trying rain on anyone’s parade. If you love PT, knock yourself out. Enjoy it! But this announcement doesn’t really excite me about the future of SLR. In fact, quite the opposite. If this is the direction SLR wants to go. I will have to seriously think about whether I want to renew my membership for another year.

This is not a threat. Or me pouting because I’m not getting my way. It’s about not getting enough content that interests me to justify continuing my membership.

Every six months there's a post about big sweeping changes but inertia is king in the porn industry. It's far too easy to fall back on old habits. Plenty of things have been promised before and then quickly forgotten.

4. Passthrough part 2 - all major studios are pretty much now in copycat mode. POVR and RealJam are exploring this right now.

This hits home. Was a sub for WankzVR in 2018 when a new producer (called Tofu?) vowed to shake things up and introduce more creativity by posting something similar to this thread. He did OK for a few months... now look at the current state of Wankz/MilfVR scenes, almost all of them 40-50 mins, vanilla, boring scenes.

Please consider making Non POV passthrough.
Having people fuck in your own room/bed is hot and add to the voyeur kick. Maybe you could encourage other producers who do more non pov to try pt.

...yeah, this would help with the PT issue of floating cock. The best PT for me so far is watching a show in my living room, getting a lap dance, etc. I'd have no issue with watching a sex scene, girl on girl preferably. Then the poor performers don't have to act to a camera, or dance around on a stunt cock, they can interact with each other, and be a bit more relaxed.

Also, the point about different positions needs to be discussed in PT:

• Clearly, the most immersion breaking points so far in PT are floating cock and having girls warped by disjointed perspectives. Both of these are mitigated by being in EXACTLY the same position as the male actor.

• Most people don't want to have to change position on the fly (doubly so if they've got interactives working).

• It therefore makes sense to shoot shorter PT scenes with just a single position, and add the position the male actor is assuming in the title (reclined, standing, seated, kneeling), so when the consumer is choosing videos, they can aim for the one they want. Or just metadata it.

Point being, keep PT simple. Short, sweet, keep the immersion. A dance. A fuck. Stop trying to shoot 45 min roleplay scenes. Concentrate the goodness. Make it more accessible.

And then you can concentrate the role-play goodness on the VR side of the studio. People are literally crying out for more, tearing up their subscriptions, etc. SLR knows how to foster good production, long scenes, immersive role-play. It's what i love most about SLRO's. Let that goodness shine by removing it from PT. Keep PT simple till the tech has evolved to compensate for all it's issues.
