Personally I think that continuing with the veto and banning of Russian studios and models is a mistake.
I understand the motives and reasoning behind it. I feel sorry for all the slr staff of Ukrainians or who live or used to live in Ukraine, I wish I could help them directly. But this whole system of sanctions, of provoked isolation towards russia that seems to work apparently so well for some because it is a system that puts pressure on Putin, has side effects that don't seem to matter, not only economic.
There is a certain hatred being created towards Russia and Russians. And I have seen it here, in this very forum, referring to the war as, "the Russians" or taunting them. Models read these forums too. How do you think they feel reading it? And I say this because banning the studio, in my opinion, does more to foster that hatred than it does to stop funding this war, which has nothing to do with them. Isn't it a bit hypocritical to ban models but not Russian porn stars and their videos here on this site for example? I don't understand how anyone can feel they have their hands tainted by one thing but not another. I understand sanctioning the ones known to actively contribute to helping Putin, but not everything Russian indiscriminately.
And as has been said multiple times, this decision basically puts some of the models out of work.
In my opinion it would be better to focus efforts on helping Ukraine and Ukrainians however we can with other types of initiatives. I'm all in for it.
