  • Russia vs Ukraine conflict and camgirls =/

hoping it's just an electricity issue.

think cut off in those areas per the news

think they said they had about a week's worth of food...that was last saturday.

spanker russians are terroring population with air raids triggering air defence alarm. Thus people have to proceed into shelter a few times per night.

    Internet isn't stable as well.

russians are hitting critical civilian infrastructure specifically.

Our Ukrainian staff is barely working. We plan to keep their salaries for the time of war without change and would be happy to get them back

if they come out of this...I will HIT them really hard to work with you guys

he's a really talented clip maker...not quite sure if has a day job though or had one...had a couple hundred million views on PH and hundreds of thousand subs on few sites

yeah...got a message an hour ago

internet was out for three days....BUT it's been 6 dammit 🙁

so decently horrible news for now

    8 days later

doublevr Have you changed your mind after all?
I just want to say that i quite understand that. Almost all the big VR studios seem to be in Russia...
To cancel them now would probably also mean a bitter loss for you.

Busbear Almost all the big VR studios seem to be in Russia...

czech republic and hungary... not russia

spacepirate Almost all the big VR studios seem to be in Russia...

Maybe we see in different countries... different VR Girls?!
In My country in the VR section are mainly three very big studios from Russia.
With around 10 Girls per studio 24/7

Btw: Why the hell do i know such things? Good lord... i am online too much! 😅

doublevr the operator promised us to disable russian broadcasts next week. If that doesn't happen we will shut everything down.

Ok.. i see... its really a lot to organize... and its a tough business!

        doublevr

I have friends and families in both countries, for my cousin I even rented a flat while he has to live here.
And I don't understand what you try to achieve with this.
Why punish people because of something they didn't do and can't change? Because it does some pennys to the economy? Really?
With your logic, you will also ban USA, right? What about France, UK, Isreal, Turkey etc.? All of them like to play war and drop here and there bombs on civilians. Or do you think middle east people are not worth it?

Putin and everyone in command responsible for this has to pay for this war but your way is narrow minded and will do the opposite what you intend to do. And if you think some demonstrations can change anything, you are wrong. Demonstrations that change countries are supported by huge amount of money and at least one other country.

Can I just say as a totally personal opinion. I don't like the idea of punishing Russian Cam girls for something that is beyond their control and has nothing to do with them. Everyone needs to eat. And that includes Russian girls. And this job may be their only source of income.

Padarak With your logic, you will also ban USA, right? What about France, UK, Isreal, Turkey etc.? All of them like to play war and drop here and there bombs on civilians. Or do you think middle east people are not worth it?

And shame on them. Doesn't change the fact that right now as I'm typing this - Russia is actively murdering men, women, and children, among countless other war crimes. In English this argument is called "whataboutism", and ironically is a favorite propaganda tactic of the Russian government used to divert attention and blame.

AnthG Sadly, any funds that go into Russia will have some part of those funds ending up in the hands of the Kremlin & Putin. No one is saying the girls are going to go walk up to Putin and hand their money to him, but that's ultimately where some portion of it would go, because that's how economies work. There is no "good" choice here imho, only a choice that will guarantee that not a single penny goes towards killing an innocent Ukrainian.

Personally I think that continuing with the veto and banning of Russian studios and models is a mistake.

I understand the motives and reasoning behind it. I feel sorry for all the slr staff of Ukrainians or who live or used to live in Ukraine, I wish I could help them directly. But this whole system of sanctions, of provoked isolation towards russia that seems to work apparently so well for some because it is a system that puts pressure on Putin, has side effects that don't seem to matter, not only economic.
There is a certain hatred being created towards Russia and Russians. And I have seen it here, in this very forum, referring to the war as, "the Russians" or taunting them. Models read these forums too. How do you think they feel reading it? And I say this because banning the studio, in my opinion, does more to foster that hatred than it does to stop funding this war, which has nothing to do with them. Isn't it a bit hypocritical to ban models but not Russian porn stars and their videos here on this site for example? I don't understand how anyone can feel they have their hands tainted by one thing but not another. I understand sanctioning the ones known to actively contribute to helping Putin, but not everything Russian indiscriminately.
And as has been said multiple times, this decision basically puts some of the models out of work.
In my opinion it would be better to focus efforts on helping Ukraine and Ukrainians however we can with other types of initiatives. I'm all in for it.

What do you know about the situation in Ukraine? Some relatives are living in germany right now, I am fully providing financially for a family with 5 people. This war will cost me a good 5 figure. I am fully aware what is going on as I sit every evening with refugees together and communicate with people that are still in Ukraine... Maybe to your surprise there are a lot of Ukranians who support Putin. I stopped arguing with them...

I have also relatives and friends in Russia which are against the war and you want to sanction them. Why? Because they are Russians?

The reasoning for me so far from SLR is: We found a reason to sanction russians. I know what whataboutism is and it is often misused as you did to discredit arguments.

PS. it will be my last comment on that topic. Do what you want, i just wanted to point out that what you do will do the opposite. If you really like to have smth to hate, it is on you.

Padarak The reasoning for me so far from SLR is: We found a reason to sanction russians

Russian models can continue working on cams if they are not located in Russia. That's where the taxes are paid and where missiles are purchased with this taxes.

Nothing against Russians as a nation.

Padarak I wish you, your family, and your friends the best. Genuinely, I do. But please re-read my entire comment.

This decision has nothing to do with "eagerly looking" for a reason to punish all Russian people. If we fund $100 to go into Russia, even if only 10% of that eventually gets into the hands of Putin's government through taxes/etc, that means we effectively gave $10 towards a potential weapon to be used by the Russian military in Ukraine.

That's it. That's literally all there is to it, and is a major reason why hundreds of foreign companies are likewise pulling their business out of Russia however they are able to.

justsomedude101 That's it. That's literally all there is to it, and is a major reason why hundreds of foreign companies are likewise pulling their business out of Russia however they are able to.

                    Exactly!

I think in this situation there are neither perfect answers nor perfect solutions.
And certainly no solutions that don't hurt anyone.

If you don't want to risk a third world war, sanctions are imho the only option.
And sanctions always affect ordinary people.
Is that sad? Of course it is!

And of course it would be nice to hit only Putin and a few rich people in Russia. But that is pure wishful thinking!

But now to those we are talking about.... the VR cam girls who work in Russia.
Even before the war they had to work in a semi-criminal and unsafe environment. I don't even want to comment on the methods of the studios there.
But strangely enough, almost no one here was particularly interested in this...

Furthermore, they do have alternatives... it's just that they don't have the VR bonus anymore.
As i said in another comment... they will not starve, they will just have less money!

Busbear "But strangely enough, almost no one here was particularly interested in this..."

Because has anyone reported on it? If an adult studio is abusing girls working for them. I would like to know about it. I think many others would too.

I can understand the reasoning, even if the models don't pay taxes since their job is Illegal in Russia the money will still end up in the economy. It's the same reason we do all the other sanctions.

I does seem slightly pointless though since neither SC or DC do the same. Most users will just move there to view the same models in VR. I think most of us only use SLR because the app is simply better, but doubt many of us would stop going to our favorite models just because we'd have to use a worse app.

Let's just hope this whole mess will be over soon and someone removes Putin and his buddies from power.

have a few long-time relationships with cam/onlyfan models. if they need me to send them some BTC...it's happening without hesitation...just like the models stuck in UKR...it's happening without hesitation.

wifes finding 1 or 2 charities per day in aiding the people of ukraine...I'm mostly going to help the girls I know personally...not sure to what extent that's going to be needed when this ever gets done

there was a cool drone dealer that wanted to aid the army with EYES in the air...need to follow up there
