Kieshi Hi Kieshi
I've been experiencing a bug that i have only just realized was happening on my Quest 3.
For over 4 months now maybe more i have been watching scenes and experienced what i would call a 'Sheet lightning flash' in my headset and up until this last week just thought it is me going crazy and just a glitch of streaming (Actually i am a little crazy).
However, i have now realized it is a bug that reverts the refresh rate down to 72hz (default setting) from the user setting just randomly and then after a certain amount of time goes back to the user setting of for example 90hz or 120hz and this causes a flash in the headset (hard to explain - honestly i'm not mad )
Previously i have never had this issue and had a steady 120hz on my Q3.
I'm no tech expert, but understand a few bits and bobs, but it's as if the headset is becoming over stressed / heating and reverting to the default / safe mode setting of 72hz, but for me this is a problem as 72hz is unuseable as i see too much flicker.
I imagine this is going to be hard to replicate for you as it is so random even for me but here are a few settings that i personally use.
- I mainly use DeoVR for Ai passthrough scenes at 120hz or 90hz if the framerate drops too low.
- Sharpness +1.5, Saturation +10, Zoom .77 %, resolution 2880p for most scenes
I totally understand if you can't replicate this and it's not the end of the world, but defintely is an issue for me as i am personally sensitive to 72hz flicker.
Please take a look if you get chance and let me know if you have any luck recreating the issue.
If you need any more info, let me know... if not, no worries as i have other VR players as a workaround but not for Ai Passthrough which is incredible.
Again i like to be honest and like that to be reciprocal up to a certain point, so as i know you have a new app in progress it may not be worth investing time into fixing this bug, so please let me know if i'm wasting my time if it won't be fixed.
Cheers
