Anyone noticing improved video quality?
App release v.14.8 (Remote launch)
Nope
Vrsumo2017 which headset is this happening on, Steam/Meta store version?

Kieshi q3
It mostly happens when I click on a tag. It'll skip to next tag play for a second and then the video will freeze but audio still playing.
Hey, also the vrcamgirls live stream on meta browser plays choppy, 2d and 3d versions of the video stream.
Rarely I use the meta browser version, but when ever i do use it, the vrcamgirls live stream lags, "choppy"
But other then that everything works great, great updates!
doublevr streaming wise...yes, the video quality’s been looking sharper lately! imo
why any video on deovr looks warped?
example:
https://www.sexlikereal.com/scenes/a-step-too-far-59386
just look at any straight line like the panel and the ceiling. I noticed that on all the videos I watched recently, not just the example I provided.
I don't recall that was the case before this update. I also tried other vr player to be sure, like skybox and all the same videos were projected perfectly without any warping. weird...

filgan could be the fov, if you reset on the image settings, I think one or two sliders don't reset you have to hit the Lil circle arrow icon to rest the slider.
I'll check that video see if looks warped
is this working with the pico 4 ultra? im still no a much older version, smh...

Nevermind...
How do you use Remote launch anyways? Don't see it anywhere on the site.
Vrsumo2017 Thanks for your reply.
I clicked the circle arrow icon to reset the slider as you said, although all the deovr player settings are default.
I don't recall changing any settings on the player. all set to default values. the issue is still the same for me. after this update every single video I play looks awful.
Any line that supposed to be straight is now warped which make me feel uncomfortable and dizzy (a little sick) after a short period of time.
Any help from the staff will be greatly appreciated.

Kieshi Hi Kieshi
I've been experiencing a bug that i have only just realized was happening on my Quest 3.
For over 4 months now maybe more i have been watching scenes and experienced what i would call a 'Sheet lightning flash' in my headset and up until this last week just thought it is me going crazy and just a glitch of streaming (Actually i am a little crazy).
However, i have now realized it is a bug that reverts the refresh rate down to 72hz (default setting) from the user setting just randomly and then after a certain amount of time goes back to the user setting of for example 90hz or 120hz and this causes a flash in the headset (hard to explain - honestly i'm not mad )
Previously i have never had this issue and had a steady 120hz on my Q3.
I'm no tech expert, but understand a few bits and bobs, but it's as if the headset is becoming over stressed / heating and reverting to the default / safe mode setting of 72hz, but for me this is a problem as 72hz is unuseable as i see too much flicker.
I imagine this is going to be hard to replicate for you as it is so random even for me but here are a few settings that i personally use.
- I mainly use DeoVR for Ai passthrough scenes at 120hz or 90hz if the framerate drops too low.
- Sharpness +1.5, Saturation +10, Zoom .77 %, resolution 2880p for most scenes
I totally understand if you can't replicate this and it's not the end of the world, but defintely is an issue for me as i am personally sensitive to 72hz flicker.
Please take a look if you get chance and let me know if you have any luck recreating the issue.
If you need any more info, let me know... if not, no worries as i have other VR players as a workaround but not for Ai Passthrough which is incredible.
Again i like to be honest and like that to be reciprocal up to a certain point, so as i know you have a new app in progress it may not be worth investing time into fixing this bug, so please let me know if i'm wasting my time if it won't be fixed.
Cheers
Silly-Sausage I saw this also this morning with one video on my Quest 3. Sudden flickering and 10 seconds later ok again.
Silly-Sausage This is an interesting post and I think it's been happening to me also on DeoVR Q3 lately, maybe a couple weeks.
It has also been happening with Heresphere Q3... dropping to 72 fps at seemingly random times.
Must be something Meta did in a recent update???

renstimpy11 Must be something Meta did in a recent update???
Yeah, i thought that too, it's gonna be a difficult fix though as it is so random, but if you are seeing the issue in Heresphere too then that seems to point to a Meta issue rather than DeoVR ??? But we're only guessing....
I'm glad it's not just me seeing it though as i thought i was imagining the flash it's only when i noticed i was getting a lot of flicker that i decided to check the refresh rate and noticed the bug and saw it go from 72hz to 120hz without me doing anything.
@bazzio & @renstimpy11 - But thanks to both for confirming the issue.
Edit: Yeah, i've just created the bug in Heresphere too, not even on an Alpha Passthough scene which is more stressful for framerates.
With the scene playing i brought up the main Herephshere screen with all the options etc and then press the Meta home button once to bring up the running app screen and every now and i again i see the refresh rate jump down to 72hz with the image flicker and then when i replay the scene it goes back up to 120hz.
It's a Meta issue - Some sort of refresh rate conflict !
@Kieshi - I don't thinks it's a DeoVR issue - Just to let you know
That's bad news for users as this won't show up on Meta's radar and probably won't get a fix !
Silly-Sausage thank you for letting me know, I will give heads-up to the team and we will monitor the situation.
Kieshi Superb - Thank you
