I don't want the 2D content, I want it moved elsewhere, in it's own category, filtered out of the main VR content. More, and more garbage content is being added, and it's becoming harder to find the quality content that I am here for.

I couldn't care less about 2d porn and don't think it will work for the platform. I personally have it filtered out as I came here for vr content.

As for your point, I can image that the flood of 2d buries your content and actually made that point to double vr in the past but from the consumer perspective. Like people come here for vr. Why show a bunch of generic 2d? I more them get your point too though.

Anyways, how does the whole revenue model work anyways? You said: "You did not ask us if we wanted to give 86% discount on our work all year long. Or sell lifetime for 300". Most people on this forum have no clue you know.

I've voiced my concerns as have others. In response they pat us on the head and give similar corporate speak, about expanding userbase and increasing engagement, that you received in reply to your letter.

KinkyGirlsBerlin If I could decide that Lifetime members cannot see my content as I think I deserve more than 0 Cent per watch - I should be able to set it up like this. and there are many other things wrong at the moment.

I am a lifetime member, and I did not know that this would affect studios in this matter. I assumed downloads/streams/likes would still affect a studio's payout. I am sorry you and other VR studios are going through this. You have some creative videos that stand out from the average VR team. I hope you are able to bounce back!

KinkyGirlsBerlin You are one of the few interesting studios in VR porn, at the very top quality wise as of late. For me personally quality is far more important than quantity in VR porn and thus I appreciate studios like yours, 80% of the content on this site is simply such low quality that it is not worth watching.

I don't know how the monetization works but I really hope that quality studios get benefitted over all the low tier stuff that sometimes flood the new videos tab

Yeah, I really don't know how or if they plan on paying studios for the lifetime membership stuff. But with no income from the subscribers, there is nothing to share. I do think that should be a toggle to allow it or not. If SLRO want to give stuff away for free, that should be their call. I don't put things on Pornhub for that reason

KinkyGirlsBerlin, I am a big fan of your studio. I think the quality of your videos is the best, bar none.
I agree with some of what you said, for example I don't understand how it makes sense to sell lifetime subscriptions for 300.
But I think you are on the wrong track when it comes to 2D videos being the problem. By default 2D videos are filtered out, and you have to toggle them on to see that they are there. I happened to stumble upon them by accident because they show up when you view the site without logging in.
I didn't realize you were putting out a video every week, it seems like I've been seeing it less. And this is coming from someone who loves your studio's work. There has been an increase in volume of videos being released - not just 2D, and your videos are getting lost in the volume. Some studios are even taking down and re-releasing old videos with minor changes.
Sorry, I don't have any solutions.

I’m curious what the revenue model is for third party studios. I just assumed you would be paid based on the amount of streams on your videos, not based on a share of the site membership revenue but I have no clue how it works.

I do think it’s a shame that there aren’t more standalone sites and that everyone seems to have to upload all their content here in order to make anything from it. It just means that SLR basically control almost the entire VR porn industry and everyone has to fall in line with their rules and restrictions. It makes VR porn very generic.

I totally agree with you — ever since SLR started adding 2D content, high-quality VR scenes get pushed down way too quickly. When you open the homepage now, it's mostly flat, low-effort videos. SLR seems to be focusing more on flat content instead of investing in the growth of an immersive platform, which is what most users actually come here for — VR, not 2D porn.

On top of that, 2D scenes are paid from the same pool as VR scenes, which really hurts VR creators. It limits our ability to grow and innovate, and we've seen a noticeable drop in our earnings over the past few months. I actually brought this up with them some time ago, and the response I got was very similar to the one you posted — basically no real action. It really feels like SLR has shifted away from quality and is now just chasing quantity.

I also fully agree that we should have the option to decide whether or not we want our scenes to be included in lifetime subscriptions. And honestly, SLR should either create a separate platform for 2D content or pay significantly less for flat videos compared to VR. A great example is FapHouse — they have separate subscriptions for VR and flat content, which makes much more sense for both the creators and the users.

Just my opinion but flat 2d is not going to bring anybody to a VR site. Why would it? It's free on over the internet. @KinkyGirlsBerlin I tried to voice this back in the beginning of all this flat stuff. I got the same response as you.
It's obvious that only people that are on here for VR already are going to be the only ones watching the flat videos.
I tried to tell SLR that they need to focus on making the best videos possible if they want to bring more people to SLR. There are tons of people that watch VR on other sites. Those are the people they should be going for.
You might just be the first to leave before more.
I want great VR content not 15 year old 2d porn. If I wanted 2d porn then I will look it up for free anytime I want it but I don't want it. And I don't want any of my money that I paid to a VR site to be given to 2d.

This sucks for you guys and us the consumers. But I'm not surprised at all. I have to say the us the consumers also seem to not matter.

              Good Luck

rerun119 Just my opinion but flat 2d is not going to bring anybody to a VR site. Why would it? It's free on over the internet.

That's false. People watch 2D porn, if SLR has 2D porn and they hear about it, some will come check it out. It's still very early days and not a ton of it yet, but give it time and you'll see

I understand SLR adding 2D porn in order to bring in new customers but the way they went about it is very confusing and improper

A simple example, I get alerts that my favourite models have uploaded new scenes, but it's in 2D - I don't care for 2D, I thought I blocked it all..

Another example, the trans section of the website is segregated (which is what 2D should have been) and not working properly, now it is overrun by 2D videos and there is no way to filter it out due to it being a half-broken segregated part of the website https://www.sexlikereal.com/trans?sort=most_recent

The biggest trans VR studios left SLR recently out of frustration due to SLR's complete and utter lack of interest in supporting the content and making it findable (and not segregated) among other things. The section was on it's last legs and now it's unusable

Another reason for a drop in earnings might be the broken notification system not sending alerts of new scenes when following studios with notifications enabled

Example: 2 new uploads from +33 studio within the past 5 days, no notifications received and the other notifications I have are for 2D scenes..

Regarding lifetime, I don't agree with adding a way to block from viewing clips - I think instead their streaming minutes should be included in the general pool in some fashion to determine payout splits between videos/studios - or is this already the case?

SLR should be more transparent with all of this stuff, they rely on studios uploading content after-all

                Ya'll need to unionise

By the way @KinkyGirlsBerlin I am a fan of your content but with there being so many studios and videos uploaded here on a daily basis it's understandable if 1 video per week is not getting as many views or earnings compared to years previously

I'm not trying to minimise SLR's lack of transparency by saying that

There have been some studios gaming the system by re-uploading their entire catalogue to the frustration of viewers, I think SLR has or is trying to prevent this from happening

A legit way to gain more views is by releasing a second bonus / extended video, VREdging do a "directors cut" that is generally 15+ mins of extra footage/positions - That's 2 videos for 1 filmed scene

Just a thought but maybe an extended unedited long-form blowjob scene could work as a separate release? Perhaps even in the style of VREdging (you can tell i'm a fan of theirs) 😆

I don't know if the women in your videos do their own hair & makeup on set but it could be an idea to film it in an intimate behind-the-scenes format, sort of like a girlfriend getting dressed to go out - maybe even trying on outfits

But anyway I do hope SLR make some changes for the betterment of studios because as it stands things are only getting worse and it's driving both studios and customers away

jommy That's false. People watch 2D porn, if SLR has 2D porn and they hear about it, some will come check it out. It's still very early days and not a ton of it yet, but give it time and you'll see

How do you know that this is false? Maybe a hand full but am not counting 100 people. Do you know some inside numbers that the rest of us don't know"
Even if a small few decide to pay for free porn for some reason. That don't help any of the VR companies. They are going to watch 2d. But now the VR companies have to loss money to the people that are here for VR that happen to watch a couple of 2d videos from time to time.

I will mark this down and give it some time and be looking to see. How long do you figure this will take for us VR guys to see the benefit?
The only people that benefit from 2d being here is the companies that make or have old 2d videos just lying around and SLR. We the VR customer surely do not benefit.

manok87346 I read on many other posts that you CAN actually filter 2D from your timeline. Still not perfect for new releases of an model that turns out to be 2D though - but anyways. Give it a try. I would prefer separate categories though to keep the feed cleaner.

fenderwq Most creators also have no clue - I read about different answers that SLR gave in the past. Watchtime and clicks are important it seems. But also each member is worth a certain amount of money per day (not month but that´s where the money comes from - so a 5 Dollar subscriber is worth less than a full price subscriber and about Lifetime nobody knows or speaks). This daily worth seems to be spread over the content he watches... but if he watches no video on a day - nobody knows what happens to that money - will it be added to the other days? And if so... if a user just watches 1 Video per week will 60% of his monthly fee be given to the creator of this one video? No wayyyyyy.
All we can see is how many views we had, how many hours have been watched and what we get per day. Doing the math the revenue got halved within 2 years. No explanation why. Are our videos less good? Are the viewers paying less or watching more? No idea...

g2kbuffetboy Thanks - I would also not be aware without some background information and my own experiences with other lifetime offers. I have for example an lifetime subscription to a Social media planning tool. Which all the sudden did not work with twitter any more and then got replaced by a BETTER version that I can buy lifetime for just XXX dollar - I could also still use the old version of course... which was deleted another 6 month later. So I learned that lifetime cannot be sustainable for companies that have ongoing costs for hosting, staff etc. as at a certain point lifetime is longer than the money lasts 😉 So there must be something about it to make it worth for SLR - and part COULD be just simply not sharing this money - OR (this is not the case I hope) they push their income numbers and user count with them for an exit...

doublevr That would be sad. People should be able to express their worries (and I do not feel I was overly bad in what and how I said it) without getting negative effects from it. I know that the company SLR is run by people that decide from the guts a lot - but I am not trying to offend somebody personally but help creators to voice their concerns. And I see that at least a dozens of them is not speaking out as the fear exactly this - punishment and loosing income - could happen tells me a lot about their experiences. I was asking around "will you support me?" and they said basically "no, it´s not safe for us" ... well sorry, but if I cannot talk about my situation and how to improve it - why should I share my income almost 50/50 with somebody that does not support me fully?

VRHotwife Same for all the discounts - I understand the market situation - You get 80+% discount everywhere - so if we do not do it, we cannot compete. But that also means that no creator can open his own site. A creator site would have a fraction of the videos as it´s mainly their own. So users expect a fraction of the costs while the creator only can attract a fraction of the users. So in order to make a living the creator HAS to ask what the big websites use as their default price but reduce it for advertisement up to 90% - working only if several hundred people are using it. A really tough situation

imratore WE talked about re-releasing videos with SLR as we wanted our old scenes to be re-coloured (I just learned the proper coloring later) and released again. We where told not to try and we did not as we did not want any trouble. They said they could replace the old scenes but they will not be on page 1 again. So we left them as are and wait for our own site to get the remasters out. Hearing that others did that though is making me shrudd my shoulders and go - ah, well... sticking to the rules sometimes sucks 😉
