imratore WE talked about re-releasing videos with SLR as we wanted our old scenes to be re-coloured (I just learned the proper coloring later) and released again. We where told not to try and we did not as we did not want any trouble. They said they could replace the old scenes but they will not be on page 1 again. So we left them as are and wait for our own site to get the remasters out. Hearing that others did that though is making me shrudd my shoulders and go - ah, well... sticking to the rules sometimes sucks 😉

Hairsational AFAIK the best off stuff and other compilations got to the sandbox quickly where nobody watches them - we do not really want to recut or something - even though some scenes would need it - but recoloring was an idea and possibly upping the resolution for the very first scenes - but nah - explained why we did not do it - it is complicated with SLR sometimes.

petermc WEll - we also wish to know more. I replied to this in other forums... it is not very transparent. We do not know what makes more or less money, we just see that compared to numbers about 1-2 years ago the money per minute or view has halfed aprocimately - and as our success doubled we are at about the same payout now as we are 1-2 years ago despite having added 50+ scenes during this time. We all simply can just guess.

jommy transparency would stop us from guessing and possibly demanding stupid stuff as it is not how we think it is... but for this we would need transparency. And it would be almost half of all my demands.

jommy Nice ideas - thanks for them ... some we also had. WE will find a way. SLR is open for short videos and does not mind advertising our own website once we have it. At least for now. Let´s see what happens once we pulled that off and release shortened videos here while the full videos will be on our website - I fear this is not well received by SLR (and possibly not even the viewers)

KinkyGirlsBerlin seems complicated. You know I don't think lifetime or discounts are the real issue. It's how revenue is shared.

I mean permanent discounts on porn sites are usually the real price and just a way to trick users into making them believe they get a good deal. I did notice the overall discount has become much more significant last year though. Like lifetime becoming only 300. If that is applied almost permanently then that's basically a price decrease
No idea how sustainable all that is, but yeah, lifetime is usually a quick way to get a influx of cash to fuel growth. I think that only works if you grow rapidly though.

But bottom line, imo, It's slrs job to make the model sustainable and if a studio like yours is struggling to make ends meet. Then I think it's not. So hope things get better for you guys.

I understand that lifetime subs can be good for a number of reasons in the case of SLR. It's a way to heavily boost your investment and increase user data in an evolving market. Like it would make no sense for non VR porn studios such as the vixen group to offer lifetime subs right now (unless it'd be very expensive). Hopefully SLR will stop giving the lifetime option in the future when the VR porn market is more mature.

Depending on your contract or whatever settlements there are between third party studios and SLR you obviously get affected by these lifetime subs, if they aren't transparent towards you guys and you are unhappy about your revenue then I guess you can either try to stand on your own, choose competing aggregators, start mitigating the problem on SLR (such as cropping up videos, extended releases and such), or like you do now, discuss it openly and maybe we the customers also get our voice heard.

For me as a user I get no added value when LethalHardcoreVR add a second version of their 2 months old scene (be it a 5 min extended version or other cuts, I don't care), I also get no added value when RealHotVR remove their scenes just to rerelease them a month later as "higher resolution" (well we know SLR's own opinion is about remastered videos). Deepinsex's constant double releases, perVRt's 5 scenes of one shooting... At the same time I have no problem with these studios doing this, UNLESS it negatively affects stuff that gives me value on the site, studios that try to push the tech forward and that try to vary their scenes, for example KinkyGirlsBerlin.

I hope that SLR can address this and find a way to benefit the customers and satisfy the studios at the same time.

I don't know what to say to all this; except that communication is important and that it would be detrimental for everyone to censor what you say when there is no reason to do so (it's not insulting etc.); and that your site: I find it great, and that it would be a shame to no longer see it (but hey I'll manage to pay elsewhere if necessary); and that I am a lifetime subscriber: but also a lifetime subscriber to wanks, virtual taboo, vrporn (that I do it for practical reasons and not for economy: it would be more profitable for me to pay monthly for all these sites - except slr: because you can only download 30 videos per month); and that I subscribe to other sites for a month when the lifetime subscription is not possible. In any case I say it again, I love your site and your actresses..For the converted 2D videos, I'm not interested for the moment because we can't download them (they are then in 2D), but I would be ready to pay more if we could download them in transformed 3D (and with a number of downloads that would be in addition to the 30 maximum)

These are some very interesting answers - like kind of all different but also some common sense. I see that there are many different opinions and also people do not seem to care a lot about the same things I do. But yes, a studio like us - two enthusiasts that do not have to make a living from it by now - can cut the production costs as much as we want ... the scenes no longer make the money back on SLR alone (which was the case once). All we can do is produce cheaper, release on more platforms, try to get external traffic going by advertising etc. But as long as our releases are on page 3 and beyond after just a few hours - it´s impossibe. Other studios get featured - we don´t. No idea whos ass to kiss to get some promo going 😉 And I am not really eager to find out.

KinkyGirlsBerlin yes, let's start doing stupid things just because you aren't happy with how much you are making the days. I understand that you’re frustrated, but the way you’re expressing it—provoking fans and creators—is not acceptable and crosses a line personally and professionally. This is your final and only warning. Any further inflammatory or disrespectful posts will result in an immediate ban and account termination. We expect all discussions on this forum to remain respectful, even when there’s disagreement.

    Now to your points:

    1. Economy is what it is. Everyone would be better off having 10x bigger economy, but attacking others or the platform won’t help it grow. We have created a leveled playing field to get the best content the most of earnings. No one can blame us for not being fair.
    2. SLR is at the forefront of growing economy with PT, Scripts, AI and innovative user experience. There's no better way to boost economy than creating a value and we are the most invested into it. Discounts and lifetime memberships are proven acquisition strategies, not random devaluation. They grow the user base, which translates into more Premium viewers and ultimately more revenue for creators.
    3. Flat isn’t replacing VR—it’s expanding the top of the funnel. It’s about attracting new users who aren’t yet familiar with VR, engaging them, and eventually converting them to VR content consumers. This ultimately means more eyes, more Premium subscribers, and more opportunities for everyone involved—especially VR creators. Flat videos currently take a minimal share of Premium budget. We let users decide what to watch offering a solid content proposition. It's actively evolving along with the platform evolution.
    4. The initial integration of flat content into the main feed is currently causing some disruption and will be fixed soon. We can keep discussing it https://forum.sexlikereal.com/d/8264-slr-flat-to-vr-immersive-stereo-60fps-optimised-screen-sex-toy-scripts

    The conversation must remain professional.

jommy it is overrun by 2D videos and there is no way to filter it out due to it being a half-broken segregated part of the website

Its not an easy fix, but there is a workaround if you use the new site for Trans content. I posted about it here: https://forum.sexlikereal.com/d/9673-honey-trans-studio/19 Caveat: for some reason using the new site to hide flat Trans studios wipes your "straight" hidden studios list, so you would have to rebuild it.

doublevr Professional be warning once and then banning (censoring, punishing)? Well Elon Musk would be proud and salute you... I thought I am the German here.

Thing is: When saying you are going to fix something - that´s all I wanted. Maybe a bit to aggressively but I tried silently by writing an email without screaming out to public - and all I got was nothing... not even the information that it is being worked on like you said just now.
Also I am not familiar about who you are... you did not introduce yourself - just started with "you might not come back if you behave like this" - so I feel not valued as a partner more like a dog that has to behave (after rules that he has not been told before)...

The playing field is not leveled - SLR Originals are promoted heavily while no other creator gets boosts - afaik.
I cannot speak about fairnes - but transparancy - when or where do you explain how money is split exactly? What´s the reason for numbers going down at the end of the day? What is each view or minute or whatever worth? I have no idea and instead of teaching me you are warning me to shut my mouth.
Flat is not replacing it - true ... it cannot. Why would you do it this way around? Presenting people 2D content (with 3D effect) in a Headset they already bought? It should be the other way around ... show the people that have NO headset how your content is much cooler on the headset. Create something that makes 3D kind of watchable in 2D - use the motion sensor of phones to let the users tilt the picture and watch behind an obsticle to create some kind of depth and then tell them that 3D porn is what they always wanted. THIS is how you grow the community - not by showing those who are part of the community what´s also possible with a semi good experience compared to full immersive VR180...

I hope this is professional enough. I would normally charge for this and more business cunsulting. But SLR seems to know it all.

It's unfortunate that you guys aren't making enough money. You put out really good content and almost all of your scenes get over 1k likes.

I don't think 2d stuff is the problem though, it's automatically toggled off and i don't think many people even look for it.

I stopped sorting by "new" and started sorting by "top - weekly" as a default because there is zero content curation around here and it's just a free-for-all of a bunch of garbage I have to sort through to find quality VR videos. The user experience has been in a downtrend for most of 2025 and by the looks of it, the creator experience isn't all that much better. At least this thread shows that users and creators all get talked down to like we're irrelevant by a certain forum mod. Nice to know there's parity in that at least.

Actually as a subscriber, I would much rather watch enhanced 2D content, that had a 3D feel too it when the girls is sexy as fuck like Lexis Star (who I just recently found thanks to SLR) than straight up VR with 100's of girls that I personally would consider unattractive. I also see a lot more black girls in the immersive 2 side which is great with big tits and ass.

Too many VR studios cater to and continue to cast the skinny body type. The issue isn't that it's because of 2D content , its because collectively many VR studios have failed to deliver on what makes 2D porn so appealing which is a mixture of ethnicities, body types, and hot talent. There is something for everyone.

In VR there is a lot for a specific niche of people , many who get irate when curvier models get cast and slim pickings for the rest. Make VR scenes like what you can access in 2D and more people will be attracted to VR so more views all around.

Also the tech needs to become more accessible, easier to use and much cheaper for studios and consumers and it's not there yet. Once this happens you can certainly see more and more people adopting VR as their preferred choice to consume porn.

deltacloud WEll obviously we are not good enough to make it to the top picks of the week or any other selection. Might be our problem and we need to do better. But then again - we are a team of two enthusiasts and other have even a marketing department - so how should we keep up? Still we put much more effort and tech into the game than others and still it´s not enough. If SLR wants to grow the base of awesome footage - maybe some kind of promo, funding, competition with prices etc. would help - the do it for DeoVR - they do it for their Originals... maybe for good friends in the business - but not for us. All ideas we had - no, no thanks, next year, no, maybe, no. We did a few originals back then - they flopped. But we only did the tech and casting and location and stuff - the editing, directing etc. was by SLR staff. We did a booth on Venus - SLR payed to make it happen - thanks. But then the staff on location (by SLR) did not put out a single flyer - we did... reaction of the audience was meh ... so no further attempts where made. WE have been fully committed - all our affiliate links point to SLR still - but then the German youth protection striked us and all SLR was willing to do at this point is to block our channel from Germans - so we lost a LOT of traffic already. Still no full implementation of youth protection so we cannot be unblocked. Other sites have it. And SLR would be doing good to implement is as more and more countries require it. I think this was the first time SLR found us annoying as we insisted on a quick solution and pointed out a weak spot. Since then we go down the hill. But better than prison, which was the alternative if we keep violating the law (well not us directly but we would still be held accountable) ... So sad. Was a fan and willing to give it all. Now we face the threat of being banned from the platform for speaking up.

theHobbit Well niches have been attractive in 2D as EVERYONE can see it. VR is a smaller market and therefore a niche itself. Opening and catering a niche in a niche is not sustainable. Growing amount of viewers would make it easier for niches. Maybe that´s an idea for SLR - pushing the niches to get all kind of consumers on board - not just the skinny girl lovers.
By the way - most of the reason for this is where the content comes from. And what Models are available there and in general. I see very few plus size Models available - and just slightly more black girls... and those I have seen are all slim.

doublevr hello doublevr, Personally, I don't see anything disrespectful or unprofessional in kinkygirlsberlin's post; but maybe I'm wrong; what would be interesting for everyone, I suppose, is that you detail what you consider disrespectful and unprofessional ? sincerely, thank you.

KinkyGirlsBerlin Maybe that´s an idea for SLR - pushing the niches to get all kind of consumers on board -

That would be pretty interesting honestly. A site like SLR could help people discover studios that they might not know existed.
