Same. As a premium user, not willing to shell out $10/video when it should be included with your subscription price. $10/month more, sure. Also about the botched PT videos. Mine was messed up it's unwatchable.
Also not having a PT download option for drive, if it's going to be available for other videos is a deal breaker as well. That option right there is what I believe most people will want to do. Take their favorite videos & add passthrough for viewing offline. It's going to take some time to engineer all this to get working correctly. Hopefully SLR listens to it's customer base & appropriately makes compelling decisions.

I agree - not paying a huge additional cost for this, especially when my existing cost only includes what is it, 3 script downloads a month?

I would be more lenient if you could download the AI PT and script. Then I could say pay a higher price to do loads of videos in one month, then come back repeat in a few months or something like that

I know a profit needs to be made and storage costs money, I think the higher the price, the less ROI SLR will get because less people can afford or think it’s worthwhile.

Bulk uploads would be good so I could e.g drag and drop 5/10 videos or something and it’d do its magic

You people get outrageous give us things for free and even more.

Makes no sense to discuss

Everyone got different needs i guess ;D im currently sitting on 92tb scraped in xbvr,,,so i got my own vrtube site local. BUT i really enjoy the ar stuff lately, only thing is i can only think of like maybe 30 i would like to have in ar. So i actually would be willing to pay per video+download. Not very interested in a cloud based setup at all.
Hoping for a homebrew version someday.

The average rental price for 2tb of cloud storage is anywhere from $7-12 USD per month, the question is whether or not the value add for something SLR specializes in, particularly Passthrough conversion tokens for one's video of choice, is excessive to the price folks can make peace with, and whether or not SLR is going to alter the deal later after already taking the money.
Like the increasingly limited download cap.

I don’t care about storage at all- from my perspective, the product you are selling is the AI pass through here (I don’t care about scripts). Storage is only required because you are limiting the availability to download pass through. You could easily offer a solution that offloads storage to the consumer where you only render the PT then we have download access for a week or something then it gets wiped. Saves you overhead outside of maintaining a enough temporary storage plus processing/rendering and you are then specifically selling pass thru as a service.

The business plan you are spitballing now could easily lead to cease and desists from other studios once they realize people are hosting their content on your website and paying you for that.

shankpot12 True. Im not sure who came up with these prices. When we just paid $300-400 for a SLR account there are some expectations people have. Nobody is saying everything should be free, but 2 credits that take a month to regenerate? Thats just an insult. Also I paid an extra $100 for scripts, what does that mean 1 complementary script? By the end of a month I doubt Ill even remember. And this $10 a pop otherwise. Most people dont even need half of 2tb offered. Tons of video editing programs out there, like $15 or $30 a month program like Runway on a junk pc and you can click a model, AI erase any background, quickly render and pop out 4k+ videos all day very quickly and easily. Many as you like. SLR's alternative was supposed to be easier and better, and paid account people were assuming they would have an advantage they dont have. Why would I pay SLR $30 a month for a handfull of video when I could do it myself for half the price and produce as much as I want? I still have to upload them and give them a name and tag art etc, half way there. A 4tb refurb hard drive on amazon is like $40. I just dont understand why anyone would think this is a great deal. Whoever came up with the pricing may have just priced themselves out when they didnt have to, this could still have been the big new thing we were excited about

Rotoscoping is cheap and everybody is doing it now. The rate AI is going in another year who knows maybe the drive will be obsolete and Ill be glad I did not pay in. SLR acts like they are the only ones who can do this in what they are charging and thats a shame.

doublevr delusional mindset and/or reply. No one is asking for free AI PT etc generation. Very cool, great tech and impressive, we’ve all supported it, but the proposed prices moving on… Read the room dude.

From a long term loyal customer who very rarely posts in this forum.

doublevr makes no sense to discuss download limitations either isn’t it? Any plans so we could pay more to download more without AI PT?

doublevr Perfectly DeoVR browser can be offering direct Drive downloads for any visited website.

Not sure what this means - you can login to any VR porn website and click Download (if the option exists) and the videos will be downloaded to SLR Drive (without the user having to upload themselves)?

      If so that's great

      -

With everyone uploading mostly the same VR videos, I guess SLRDrive would be more storage efficient when compared to normal file storage companies by using a lot more file de-duplication and also save a lot of processing power by not re-doing AI PT processing of previously finished videos (unless a new AI PT version is released)

Either way, I do think 500GB storage is not much for $15/month - I totally understand a profit has to be made but VR videos are pretty massive, we'd only get 8-25 videos with 500GB which means people are constantly deleting and uploading videos that would quickly become a massive pain in the butt

I'm curious if SLRDrive has it's own physical storage servers or if it's rented cloud storage? 😄 ROI of physical storage servers is juicy

doublevr 500GB Storage for $14.99/mo including some 30 monthly AI credits

I think I'd be cool with that--not sure I'd keep it running month-to-month though.

Can you upload your own custom scripts on your Drive vids yet? I have scripts I made years ago that I was gonna try

doublevr DeoVR browser can be offering direct Drive downloads for any visited website.

That would bypass the usual bottleneck of slow async uploads present in many consumer ISP offerings and take advantage of the fatter pipe between CDNs. Nice!

doublevr 4K/8K upscale working with upcoming SLR TikTok UI smartphone app

Are you going to offer AI upscaling on Drive uploads outside of smartphones?

svanir Not yet. doubleVR said "script uploads are coming to Drive." but no date was given

Ok something that may just be a UI/processing glitch or something is that, I've uploaded a 2nd vid and requested AI PT. When I clicked Done to save the vid while the AI PT could start, when I clicked back into Edit it shows my credit refunded and now says "Unavailable for this video" but the video is a real h00man in 5k 3d 180VR and not cgi, 3d or anime/cartoon. It may be a color thing as the lighting is heavily blue with led blue lights but it's not dark. Could this be the issue? I'll swing back around and see if maybe it was just a glitch and maybe it will have processed tomorrow.

What makes me think it might be a coding/UI issue is that it also won't allow me to save a Thumbnail for said video now even once I have hit save after it lets me select the Thumbnail shot.

But so far, it's working GREAT on the first vid I uploaded. THANK YOU GUYS. I've been waiting for this for 4 years since I got a couple custom VR vids like a total nerd. To see them in passthrough is a bit of a dream to make the fantasy more real instead of just "virtual".

The bottom line is that I think for a most people the whole SLR drive thing is only about getting AI passthrough and AI scripts for their non SLR videos.

          What most consumers want

          • Press generate on a local app and the AI will batch process all videos in their library that don't have passthrough or scripts yet
          • Have a pricing plan that allows them to convert their entire non SLR library and new vids for an affordable price without worrying about per video price or number of generations

          The disconnect

          • Uploading, converting, adding meta data, searching what not and what to add to drive, thinking about what to keep, etc. takes a lot of time and effort.
          • Due to the pricing / storage limitations you have to cherry pick your scenes. This also mean you'd need to watch a video before (without AI) decide if it's good enough. Upload it overnight and then watch it later
          • You own nothing and you'll lose everything and your entire investment if you ever quit the service, SLR changes direction, etc.
          • Some people want to go the local route.

I think most people are willing to put up with the whole online requirement because that's the only way they can get the AI features they are super excited about. The issue is that this makes things expensive and since it's not something a lot of us are asking for it makes it a hard sell to pay the price. I think that that's the feedback that you are hearing in this thread.

To clarify, personally I'd much rather just pay 15 up to 30 a month to be able to generate AI passrhroug and scripts locally. Now I know SLR is alergic to the concept of anything local but I'm making a point here about the disconnect.

The point being. People just want to easily have scripts and Ai pass-through for all their non slr videos at an acceptable price. The current vision doesn't allow that. What it does allow is for you to enjoy a few (30) vids temporarily and with quite a bit of friction while you keep a running subscription. Still fun but the value proposition is very different and that reflects what people are willing to pay for it.
