March Update https://forum.sexlikereal.com/d/9037-slr-drive-vision-and-future/250

Thx for making SLR Drive success right from the start 🔥

It's top priority to introduce 2TB storage for $29.99/mo 500GB Storage for $14.99/mo including some unlimited 20 monthly streaming only AI PT and Scripts. With an option for paid downloads like $9.99 per PT AI render or script

Ultimately we want to support both AI features for smartphones along with additional AI SBS conversion, 4K/8K upscale working with upcoming SLR TikTok UI smartphone app on iPhones and Androids. Making it a perfect Private Cloud Porn Library for both VR and flat videos, as well as photos, seamlessly integrated with your SLR experience. Perfectly DeoVR browser can be offering direct Drive downloads for any visited website.

We are working to turn SLR Drive into SLR Playlist offering full SLR functionality: linking Pornstars database, seekbar time codes, etc sharing the same dashboard as SLR content creators.

Scripts AI is coming soon, initially supporting streaming only for Handy devices.

SLR Premium users will enjoy 30GB free Drive with upgrade plan. I think Drive should also be an option for non Premium users.

Let me know how you like it.

doublevr 2TB storage for $29.99/mo, including 30 monthly AI credits

At its face, I don't have a strong objection, but when combined with the regular subscription fees (or pro rata Lifetime costs), that's looking pretty expensive. You may want to consider offering other options:

    • lower monthly tiers (500GB/10 credits/$12 ?)
    • lifetime options (a one-time fee to incrementally increase the Drive default -- like 2X for $50 ?)
    • use SLR Bucks for ala carte menu (instead of monthly script downloads, you get SLR Bucks that could be spent on Drive credits, etc ?)

all sounds great, but be also nice if some PT alpha downloads for vids on the site or for drive will be included in premium subscription. Extra cost for more space(better if more than just that one 2tb plan), more credits, and for non premium users totally makes sense.
    thanks

    Thoughts:

    • The success of this plan depends heavily on UI/UX simplicity and ensuring the integration of features is intuitive.
    • Consider focusing initial marketing efforts on features with the broadest appeal (e.g., the 2TB storage and AI credits bundle).
    • User feedback loops for new features like the AI TikTok-style app will be crucial for refinement.
    • Pricing strategies for AI features and rendering seem fair but could benefit from user testing or limited-time promotions to gauge demand.

Overall, it’s an ambitious roadmap with a clear vision for growth.

all these ideas seem good and promising to me i also think that drive should be an option for non premium users it could generate interest from a wider audience and regarding the price of $9.99 for downloading with AI PT rendering i find it a bit too high in my opinion $5 or $7 seems to be a more appropriate price

      My takes on this:

      • 2TB is EXTREMELY unnecessary. I currently have 500GB of downloaded (minimum 6k quality) VR videos. 500GB, right now, and it is yielding me 25 scenes. All of these scenes are 40+min long, and the only reason why I'm holding this many scenes at once, is because I was preparing to upload them to the SLR Drive. However, after a scene has been watched, I don't like to watch them again so soon after it, so most of these scenes will be deleted as soon as they've been watched. I think 250-300GB would be more than enough for the average user.

      • Credits: I think including 5 free credits per month to current premium users would be a great way to attract more customers in the early stages of the drive (which is now). I personally already had issues with 1 out of the 2 AI uploads that I did, so even though it's working for the most part, there are still a couple of things that need to be fixed. However, while those things get fixed, you can still attract interested parties to start testing it out, and by the time it's fully operational, you already got a lot more people hooked up to it.

      • Pricing Model: I don't think $9.99/video will EVER work, because of mainly two reasons:

      • It's too expensive for it to be per video. If you guys REALLY want to do this in a per video basis, AND you will require customers to have a premium subscription, then I think between $2-$2.99/video is the absolute max, that most people would be willing to pay. At least I know I would.

      • The pricing model should be Subscription based. It's a more constant stream of revenue, which would make future investments in the Drive easier to justify. Additionally, there should be an extra cost to our base subscription (like an upgrade), which users should be allowed to choose, if they want it or not. For example, Premium Subscription = $99/year. Premium + SLR Drive (300GB storage + 10 credits/month) = $125.

One key point that must not be overlooked, is if monthly credits should be stackable when not used. For example,
Month 1 (Start) - Started with 10 Credits
Month 1 (End) - Finished with 5 Remaining Credits
Month 2 (Start) - Started with 15 Credits
Month 2 (End) - Finished with 15 Credits (didn't use any credits for that month)

My opinion is that they should be stackable when not fully used. I'm sure a lot of Drive users will have tons of scenes that they wish to PT AI right now. However, after they get those scenes done with, it's not a guarantee that they will be using up all of their monthly credits as scenes from other studios get released. I don't think it's fair that they lose unused credits, since they paid for it.

Pilky123 i think we will be dropping Bluetooth devices support by the end of next year. Should be offering SLR toy by that time.

milky97 Funny how people can think so differently. A good 8TB hard drive is around $150, why would I pay $30 a month to rent 2TB of storage? I cannot be bothered to juggle local storage since it is dirt cheap, why would I go through the trouble of juggling cloud storage at all.

I guess I get it as a business decision from SLR, I'll just enjoy the one vid that fits for free and take it for what it is.
Its a shame though, the AI has become impressive. The PT is fun sure, but the scripts... damn they're actually good now I never expected this a while back. The fact that we get 3 AI DL a month still baffles me and now this... just renting and/or ridiculous pricing.

As with any commercial company, SLR will tally the (wallet) votes and decide, usually consumers f*ck themselves in this regard so I have little hope.

I agree that the subscription price seems too high. We should get a x amount of credits with our current paid subscriptions. With x being at least, greater than or equal to 5. Paying an additional $29.99 is too much. Especially for us unemployed currently, trying to survive and still enjoy the features of this site. 2 TB seems too much also.

Like others mentioned only 2 credits is kinna low for subscribers, also $9.99 per Ai pt download hopefully is only for nonsubscribers which is fair, but imo should have number of Ai pt downloads available to subscribers for free

        Okay here is my take

        • 30 monthly credits means 15 AI videos (if you want both pass-through and scripts like me). That's 1€ per AI generated video which seems fair to me. If it was much more than that I'd do it once or twice but only for scenes I'd really like. At this price I'd actually use it.
        • At 500gb with scenes being around 17gb you get 30vids capacity. Too little to keep your favorites and rotate some new scenes at the same time. You'd constantly need to think about what to keep and delete. Not a huge deal in itself but troublesome when you consider:
          • Uploading takes several hours per scene and generating AI several more. Also it's manual work, your pc needs to be on, etc. In other words it's a lot of effort to add, re-add. I'd get tired of that quickly.
          • When you delete a movie you basically lose your credits so deleting a scene "temporarily" isn't really an option. Having to rebuy credits for scenes I already generated would make it seem like a very poor investment to me.
          • For this to be attractive we'd need a way to keep your generations. Ideally download them or at the very least keep them when you generate the file or something.
        • 9.99€ per passthrough download is redicoulously high. I think you should just be able to download what you generate. It's not like SLR drive on top of a regular and normal slr subscription isn't like your paying a lot already.

So, definitely interesting but too sum it up. I'd feel very space constrained by this but paying much more then 15€ a month doesn't sound very realistic to me either. This is an issue that needs to be addressed. I get that cloud storage and the whole infrastructure is expensive but it will need to work well for your customers to become a success. The obvious solution would be to allow downloads of the AI stuff but if you don't wanna do that there needs to be another way to make this more workable.

fenderwq 9.99€ per passthrough download is redicoulously high. I think you should just be able to download what you generate.

it takes rendering on top of it. also we don't want downloads. for those who really want it should be ready to pay

I have 12TB of VR video. It’s not as many videos as you think, about 800 or so (3 videos per week curated the last 5 years.) So 500GB cloud space to convert all these videos into PT won’t work without the ability to download the masks and delete videos from the cloud to clear up space. If I understand correctly, it would take me several thousand USD to download all the masks of these 800 videos at the 9.99 per video price point. That is well beyond what I’m able to spend. For me, I would need more space on the cloud or a more realistic price to download the masks.

I prefer watching locally anyway It’s just a much faster experience than trying to stream 8k video when you don’t have really fast internet.

The whole thing sounds kinda nuts to me:

            • Paying that much to rent AI PT masks/scripts, without any ownership
            • Having to rent vast amounts (TBs) of overpriced online storage in order to be able to consume some comparatively tiny masks/scripts
            • Only having access to a limited number of masks/scripts at any one time (as many as you are willing to pay the overpriced storage for)
            • No downloads

I'm obviously not the target market though

            • Keep the free option for two videos for hooking people up
            • For access to full Drive functionality, charge a low monthly price (max. $5) as an upgrade to the regular subscription (like for scripts).
            • Drive can hold up to 100 videos.
            • Charge for the generation of the derivatives instead for storage, by selling credits. $0.50 per AI PT mask, $0.50 per AI script.
            • Provide the option of pausing the Drive without losing all the derivatives. When users come back from their break, they will obviously have to re-upload their videos, but they will not have to pay again for the non-downloadable derivatives because they are still in the library of their user account. Not losing the derivatives may eliminate the need for downloading.

Would like to know how botched AI Passthrough videos will be handled. I haven’t heard back yet on one of mine. Will it be fixed/reprocessed? If so, how long will it take? If not, will I get my credit back?

I will also echo that as a premium member I’m only willing to pay so much more extra a month for Drive. More around the $9.99 per month for 500 GB and 15 credits with monthly rollover.

              rftd1995

Same. As a premium user, not willing to shell out $10/video when it should be included with your subscription price. $10/month more, sure. Also about the botched PT videos. Mine was messed up it's unwatchable.
Also not having a PT download option for drive, if it's going to be available for other videos is a deal breaker as well. That option right there is what I believe most people will want to do. Take their favorite videos & add passthrough for viewing offline. It's going to take some time to engineer all this to get working correctly. Hopefully SLR listens to it's customer base & appropriately makes compelling decisions.
