fuccaneer Yes, the third party studio would sue SLR directly, but the agreement the user would have signed would put them on the hook for any costs associated with SLR being sued by the third party studio

And how do you think SLR gets the users to pay for the lawyers? If another VR porn company sued SLR over copyright then you think SLR will sue everybody that put videos on the cloud?
I'm not saying that they will get sued but I don't see how they would ever get the customers to pay for the defence team.

rerun119 please stop the offtopic. The issue was well addressed. Slr makes its best to assure proper legal basis.
Users should not be worried if any of that.

It's a private drive for users. It's no different than making a local copy for personal use or dropbox upload.

PeeTee on the first day of a new month once you've got the feature on.

Credits will be very different soon. They might remain the same for free 30GB users and will be somewhat reasonably unlimited for 500GB plan proportion to storage capacity. Perfectly we want users to use drive to stream their favorite videos. Takes time to get everything in place

      doublevr
regarding the upcoming 500gb unlimited plan, will it be just monthly? or will there be yearly and lifetime plans as well?
      thanks

jojo321 monthly for starter. Once we figure out dynamics with come up with the next annual and potentially lifetime logic. It's a bit different dynamics than VOD SLR services

ameteala everyone is on vacations right now. All see how things go after Jan 10. I would rather focus on long term solution to make things work for everyone and give all the options in your hands

doublevr Sounds good. Still havent seen credits added back to mine but I figure its just buggy. Anyway I think you said something along the lines of unlimited credits with a fixed 500gb cloud storage space. That sounds more in line with what I am looking for. If there are in fact unlimited credits, that would solve a lot of issus. I would pay $15 a month Drive as it sounds like a good competitive price in that case. When did you say it was expected to roll out, was it the end of the january or something??

doublevr If you're on monthly, don't know if this has addressed yet, but what happens when your subscription is cancelled or can't renew (card expired/address changed/denied by bank)? Does your 500GB of data get deleted immediately or is there a grace period to renew sub before your 500GB of data gets deleted?

GenericUser3 nothing gets deleted. there won't be service access with no active subscription. Cancelled subscription counts active until expired. We can probably keep the date around a year before removing.

First off i've always said that the Ai Passthrough technology is absolutely amazing and SLR should get aplauded for it as it is a game changer, no doubt in my mind about that....

...however the pricing structure in almost all respects that are being proposed are ludicrous IMO - The reason i say this is that i can get a 'Lifetime Subscription' to almost any site for about $70 dollars more than the proposed ongoing subs for Ai Passthrough and Drive.

So unless you are a super dedicated Ai Passthrough enthusiast then i honestly don't get it.

I was really looking forward to this feature as i would say i was a perfect customer wanting this feature, but after evaluating the pricing and feedback, i haven't even bothered with beta testing as the value for money just doesn't add up.

I personally thought the single passthrough upload maybe around $1-2 dollar per scene... $9.99 is just laughable as i can almost get a dedicated sub for that with unlimited downloads - I understand it's costly to run this tech, but that's just too expensive IMO.

Whatever.... obviously it is aimed at very, very dedicated users and that's their choice - Enjoy 🙂

40% of my 8TB hard drive is filled with videos of at least 40GB, sometimes I have videos of 60GB! 30GB free is a great surprise, the idea is good, but in my situation, it's almost impossible to try your services.

Curieux I use Avidemux to cut out portions of videos and reduce file size. Not sure where you are getting that large of videos. VRBangers has the largest I've encountered at around 20 Gigs.

@doublevr Instead of creating a new topic I'll just ask these here.
ETA of the New Haptic SLR Toy?
ETA of the New SLR Player (Non-DEOvr)?

Is there a way to use our own script for videos uploaded? Tried using with name of video and also the scene id but neither worked.

twizzlar script uploads are coming to Drive later according to previous posts from doubleVR

GenericUser3 I had this exact scenario happen ( card expired ) and though I lost my special pricing 😢, my uploaded content remained intact after updating my card info and resubscribing under my current account.

Do uploaded 2D videos get "VR'd" or is this only for already VR vids getting PT'd?
