In our app we are using AVPro plug-in for rendering video.
For playing stream video on Window it uses internal windows foundation media player.
The realization is not quite good. For example when we are trying to get percentage of bufferization the whole unity project starts to incredibly lag. (That's why it's on in the app)
Aswell as some users has completly diffirent problems. Some of them has freezing. Sometimes whole WMF doesn't works. But you are the first with seeking problem.
We are looking to replace AVPro with some other solution. But unfortunately right now AVPro is one of the best for Unity. So it may take a long time for us to write our own engine on VLC library for example.
Could you please tell, which Windows version are you using right now? Is it MSDN or some other pack?
We'll also prepare a test build for user with freezing problem. We'll send you this build aswell.
Not a big chance that it will help, but at least we'll collect some information for investigation.
