adinihsan of course not, its superior and people dont use it because they want scripts to also work with their "devices" I personally could care less for devices, ive used a wide range of them and sure its "cool" in the moment but that post nut clarity hits real quick once you finish and realize you got all that crap to clean up and put away. Not worth it unless you are a hermit and have no issue with other human contact. Heresphere is still my prefered method of playback using my NAS for streaming PT content.

Uzername true but even a couple of PT scenes is enough to fill the device up and constantly transferring and deleting from the device that's forever. I'll tell you what would also easily fix everything but im sure @doublevr has a reason to say nobody uses or meta doesnt allow, is to simply allow the app to read from an external drive connected to the headset. I have at least one video player app I use to do this, its not perfect but it works, how hard would that be? They simply dont care for offline, downloaded media being played. Its not streaming, they are not collecting usage data, and it doesnt translate to subscriptions in their eyes, and ultimately that is all they seem to care about.

Uzername metichemsi again, I agree HS is better. Still, the userbase is likely minimal for SLR (with or without toys). They’ve made their own platform and it makes sense business wise to stick to it. Fortunately its a good platform (unlike Play’A) so I don’t really see a problem.

You CAN watch SLR in HS btw, but it would use a download, still this means you can pick 30+ scenes per week (redownloading same scene won’t count), which seems like plenty tbh

adinihsan one more thing about HS. They ask you €30 (pretty ridiculous) for no interruptions. Steam/Meta version are completely seperate, I asked for a Meta key as I had already purchased and they basically told me to f*** off and buy again.

Deo is free and much more user friendly, most SLR users won’t look twice at HS

metichemsi how do you make it pt? Didn't manage to find a way to pt it

Tried enabling pt for steam link app pressing oculus button, but everything disappeared.

doublevr ok so, I use wired oculus link connection to my pc, on the meta quest link pc app you have to make sure you have developer runtime features enabled in the beta section and then make sure you have passthrough over meta quest link enabled and also spatial data over meta quest link enabled. When you actually run the game on steam you need to make sure you select the meta version, there is a steam and a meta option on your first launch. Also, on your actual quest 3 headset OS make sure you have a your playspace mapped out, the kind of room scale scan that uses the lidar to map out your room with a mesh, once that is done, you can hop back to meta quest link, and launch the game on steam. Once the game launches you should see a couple of toggles on the left to enable spatial view. Sometimes you have to close the app and open it again for it to kick in. Let me know if you need any more help.

SLR doesn't have 30 good new scenes a week so unless you watch a lot of older scenes it's still reasonably usable to stream with the limit

Hairsational sure yea if you dont mind paying a monthly subscription fee while you wait another 6-9 months for maybe 10-15 good scenes to come out???? Ok also, I like to build and keep an offline library to have available whenever I wish to watch, regardless of subscription, server, or whatever other reason you can think of.

adinihsan They ask you €30 (pretty ridiculous) for no interruptions

You really think 30$ is ridiculous?
Do you know that one guy made Heresphere and still improves it. Do you think he should just make the best player for free for you. He made a player that others have whole teams working on it.
It is still free if you don't want to spend that mighty 30 dollars.
Man people expect that they should just be given something for nothing.

rerun119 seems you are having hypothetical arguments with yourself.

I purchased it cause its the best player, still €30 is a hefty price for what you’re getting in my opinion, you can disagree with that that’s fine but don’t throw a tantrum with a whole lot of nonsense in it. My main criticism was that the dev treats Steam/Meta versions as entirely separate, asking effectively €60 for something other apps provide for free.

Also you completely misunderstand pricing.. usually big company equals big price, lots of staff are on salary and royalties are divided over many parties etc. Etc.

Single dev equals small price, I hope you understand. And in this case its not even ‘indie asking same as AAA’, its ‘indie asking infinitely more than AAA and then tells you to fuck off and rebuy if you want the same on another device.’
