3 demos were really cool. Thanks for sharing. Girls were beautiful and video clarity was ok. Some minor artefacts here and there. I was actually surprised how far 6DOF is.

Poor controls though. Should be done differently. "Image" should be grabbed and turned around the girl not around viewer. Definitely needs passtrough for the backround as an option.

    Curious if we want to start selling these pay per video with their player or wait until DeoVR integrates it. Also it's local playback only. Streaming is further down the line, more like a year from now.

      doublevr I got all their splats both static and videos, they're very cool. I personally would love to see it expanded further, they definitely need more visibility.

        I feel like this is the future of vr porn. I love braindance, but I wish they would have a floor that could also disappear in pass through. Right now its always some obnoxious colored bed or carpet. Kills the immersion. Xxxdimension does a great job with this and you can manipulate the models to feel like they are right there in your bed. Their issue is the models aren’t that attractive :/

        I have to say, I was shocked that they got motion to work with this. 3D scans have been around for years but having motion is a game changer. However, there is still a long way to go. One scene is like a minute or so of motion and is 10 gigs of data. That's still incredible compared to actual hi-res video from multiple angles, but it'd still take a ton of storage for anything longer. Plus, it doesn't seem like longer clips are possible as of yet.

        Still, things will only get better, so I fully support whatever efforts you guys can do to help this tech along. The passthrough stuff you've been putting out lately is incredible too.

        Also, their player really sucks. If you could view their stuff within the DeoVR app, that'd be convenient. I'm not sure how that'd work though since you seem to need a computer for good quality, according to them at least. I guess we'd have to use the PC version of DeoVR?

        fenderwq However, playing back high quality volumetric video that actually looks like, let's say a good 4k vr video, requires quite a bit of processing power which is challenging on a pc and I don't think possible yet on a mobile device like quest (for now). So currently the performance and the conversion to the volumetric format are still pretty big bottle necks. So, quality is getting to a sorta acceptable point but it's very far from an 8k video still.

        What type of PC tier is being referenced here? (Not sure if average or extremely highest end is be referenced against here.)

        Also where should I look for the BrainDance demo files? (Thanks in advance!)

            FirmBark well this tech (things like gaussian splatting, nurbs, etc) is moving crazy fast but deconding volumetric vr videos still requires a lot of processing power now.

            Bet we could run the 4k sbs equivalent (quality wise) on a 4090 or something but for sure not on a quest. It's gonna get there though and probabily sooner then later. This tech is moving very fast probably because it's very valuable for Ai training.

              Can't wait for deovr team to make it work for local playback. Then we can start selling the videos and film ourselves

                This would be great, I tried Braindance on my pico, spent 1-2 hours trying to figure it out. Was really bad experience and just wouldn’t work. Spent $10 on a scene, click download, app crashes. No support on the Braindance site or replies on Reddit.

                I have a quest 3 and I have purchased all of https://brain-dance.ai/ content. With a little tinkering, it's a game-changing experience. They have dynamic(Video) content now and it's amazing. I hope more studios and people get involved because the more the better!

                  jbater234 Is there any free content I can just try? Like adult stuff maybe brain dance, never used brain dance, or maybe there is something else. Just getting into this type of thing not knowing where to go.

                    Tried the braindance stuff and it is crazy how good it looks. Theres a future for this 100%
