I red throuht this whole tread. Passthroug will be the thing in the future and I am fan of it. I still don't understand why it is so hard to film passthrough videos correctly. I picked up the best points that seems to be problem although they should be obvious to every director.

Why isn't this still not obvious to directors? This tread people are talking about different IPD etc. nonsense. Why not use common sense instead? You have to decide which positions to use (what fits for average guy) and stick with that (Cowgirl, missionary, doggy etc). Nothing extreme only because you can and are able to do. "Booring" is good in PT. No leaning or much back and forth movement, it has to be in same plane. Be in the center of the screen. Otherwise you get scaling issues and distorsion when users try to correct image.

This way you can measure and be sure of proper lighting, focus, distance, angle etc. Someone said it is just math ant that is correct. Everything should be measured and checked, no feeling or intuition. Otherwise there is possibility to screw thins up. For example you have to measure how close girl can come to kiss you (don't want crosseyed video) and what is the spot to kiss. Attach some "fake lips" and eyes to the rig and teach girls where to look and kiss properly.

Nothing is so sad as if seeing gorgeous woman in passthrough ruined by left lens out of focus or smudge in the lens (as there has been in StacyQ videos more than one year) or hot girl looking only other lens and kissing your ear or eye instead of lips.

        This indeed is SUPER important for any PT director to realize. This is all about logic, about thinking this through and then make sure to have procedures in place so that everything is optimal. There's no place for 'artistic feelings' or 'intuition' here, that will only mess things up. This is just boring logic. A checklist is an awesome idea. I also really loved the laser pointer idea that someone had above, to attach a laser to the cam and make sure that the dick is always in the right place relative to the camera.

        I also love the 'boring is good in PT' strain of thought. That's exactly how the PT director should think. Nothing fancy, just 2 positions for example (sitting and lying), no weird movement by the male actor (even way better, no movement at all, have him lie still like a dead body LOL) and let the actress do all the work. And actually I'm starting to agree, all this is NOT that difficult at all. In the end it's all about understanding how viewers are watching the scene, making sure that the male actor's position matches the viewer's position, that their eyes and dicks are in the same place. And then of course the regular filming techniques like lighting etc that any director should already have. This isn't rocket science.

            harigeharry I said "that their eyes and dicks are in the same place" of course is not correct, should be that the camera is where the viewer's eyes are and the dicks should indeed be in the same place, but that's obvious.                 Regarding the latest Era Queen PT vid, I know we'll have to wait for the new chair 🙂 But also @George please avoid male fucking back in PT, it just results in this floating dick syndrome LOL. The girl should do ALL the work in PT.

                  been out for a few months, I cant believe how inconsistent PT continues to be, some recent scenes are completely unwatchable like the Lia Lin scene, was everybody on set sleeping, that modded canon lens obviously needs more attention when being used. Then again you have scenes like Era Queen scene that completely blew me away how sharp and crisp everything was, granted the scale was a little big, I cant tell if its was a vanilla canon VR lens or if the SLR team has been using the FMDUO camera of their own or from the VRBANGERS team. If our options are either modded canon lens with poor results trying to "achieve" better scaling but terrible focus or slightly larger scaling with near perfect sharpness then the choice is obvious, at least give us the sharpest picture possible.

                  @George I just want to congratulate you on getting to where you are so quickly, and for listening to feedback with grace and humility. The latest scenes are awesome and Maya's is also incredible with improved scaling. Kudos for turning things around 👌

                    1. Everyone praise this video but it is thanks to Agatha Vega who is gorgeous. Production is maybe 7/10 at best. There are plenty of better AI Alpha videos about Agatha despite Passthrough AR should be better. There was no naked missionary or doggy (why?) and back half of the video was confusing and lack of "plot". The entire back half of the video was rotating between those different cowgirl positions and blowjobs/closeups. If you want to do perfect video it is abot details. Why no kissing? What happened to the lipstick of upper lip because it looks odd? There is also some greenish colour at the edges of Agatha and around her nose. You can see this in missionary because of insufficient lighting. You could say this is the feature of gray room.

                    2. I am so frustrated and disappointed because Stacy is one of my favourites and this video is 6/10. The whole point in Passthroug AR is intimacy and you did not include kissing? This video is 1 hour long and doggy + missionary is less than 10 minutes together? Furthermore both are filmed way too high. Even zoomed Stacy looks too small. First part (Jerk of instruction) Stacy is almost peripheral vision and that's why she is warped/poor focus. You guys have 180 fov and put her in the corner instead of center? Again back half of the video was randomly rotating between different cowgirl blowjob positions and lack of focus/plot.

                    Please do your homework and keep it simple. I have to ask (director/producer) do you really watch these films afterwards and make conclusions? Because if you do you can do the math. If it works you continue doing the same. If it is not working you stop doing it and change procedure. This way outcome is better and better videos. These are not bad videos but there was so much potential and you lost it 🙁

                      Picouser I totally agree with you, the casting is superb but the scenes are completely wasted and some AI Passthrough scenes are clearly superior.

                        Picouser About the model being too small, did you put yourself into the same position as the male actor is in? That's the key to watching passthrough (and also the key to good shooting, since they should make it easy for us, no weird difficult positions). I haven't watched it myself yet.

                            doublevr that never yields a great result and always introduces some weirdness. Way better to mimic the position of the actor.

                              Regarding the new Stacy Cruz scene - Personally i thought the scaling of the cowgirl which is my favourite position in VR was pretty much perfect, a tad high maybe but that could either be adjusted with pitch or height pretty easily.

                              Some of the other postions were too far away making the scale look too small and loses the intimacy and ruins the image quality / resolution .

                              I definitely agree with the @picouser that we need more kissing and whispering in the ear or licking (for me) as this is the stuff that sends the tingles down the spine due to the sense of being close to someone.

                              I also agree that if it is a BG scene the girl should never be offset to the side (most of the time due to build up etc) as everyone knows, current headsets have a specific sweet spot and out of that sweet spot you can get double vision or distortion and just a wasted opportunity.

                              No matter how many times we ask there are so many scenes without the intimacy or the feeling of being close to the girls, please listen to this feedback.

                              Another good thing about close up filming is although the resolution is the same the image qualtiy is a million times better for obvious reasons (pixels etc) so it makes so much sense to have as much of a scene with the girls close to camera as in 8k it can look incredible close up.

                              BTW Stacy looks absolutely stunning as always - one of the best 🙂

                              Forgot to mention, there was no close up pussy which is always a big downvote from me ... maybe next time.

                                That's right about the positions.
                                These are the last two videos where VR Edging style was wanted. Focused on keeping dick "alive" and dancing around and made for Handy etc.
                                As I was reading through the comments, users wants more variety so I stopped shooting this style. >Now each video I made there is always some improvement based on the user's feedback.

                                  doublevr have you confirmed or denied yet if you have been using the FMDUO camera from VRBANGERS for your recent scenes yet? lol I could swear that scaling on those further subjects looking as big or bigger than closer subject areas seems like a dead giveaway to me, but I could be on crack tho lol
