This, exactly. Perhaps the problem is with what "MILF" has evolved into. Like the above poster said, the thing that comes to my mind when someone says "MILF" is an aging pornstar, who having seen her booking decline, gets a pair of humungous bolt-ons, lip injections, butt injections, adds too much make-up, and then goes to NA to produce overly porn-y, old-school flat porn in flowy lingerie and 6 inch heels. It really reeks of desperation.

FWIW, I think it is the shitty quality, low number of releases, non-existent support, and over the top cheesy porn aesthetic that sunk NAVR, not the MILF/Teen debate. NAVR is a perfect example of thinking VR is just flat porn shot with a different camera.

    OliverDK Hmm... I don't have any content from NAVR from 2016, so I can't confirm. But perhaps they did focus on milfs in 2016. Either way, I still thought they were amazing back in 2019-2021. They were my favorite studio until the switch happened. I'd argue that they weren't focused on milfs at all during that time. But rather, they had a pretty good variety of women from all age ranges.

        obilisk2450 Yes, as I said in an earlier post; there was intense posts/discussions/arguments about NAVR on Reddit because NA had a tendency to release in 'batches' - meaning for a period (months) all scenes was milfs/matures and then they switched to all scenes was regular pornstars. They should have mixed them more because the milf/mature 'batch' always caused an uproar from the people on Reddit that preferred younger models. I wouldn't be surprised that what you perceived as a shift in focus to milfs, was just a prolonged 'batch' of milfs.

        In any case if you dig younger models and you can accept Kyle Mason and Dan Damage as the male talent, NAVR might be more to your liking in it's current form as milfs/matures are far less prominent, while younger pornstars are more in focus.

              Silly-Sausage en why don't these high end premium sites create a milf only website to cater to their needs, but instead they try hijacking sites that built their foundation around teens etc and try to tell them what works for them.

              this was already addressed earlier in this thread. it's an issue of funding. Milfs tend to be bigger names. Also debatable whether or not SLR is a teen centric site, and even if it was, times change and they have more users to cater to now.

              "Variety is bad" is just a weird take. Also, "if you don't like it, launch your own company" is just a flat out ridiculous thing to say.

              Again, I'm all for variety when it comes to casting even if I don't like it, but some of you aren't arguing in good faith.

                      Oh, and for the 1000000000000th time on these forums, I have an Oculus Pro and a Q3. I've tried PT a LOT, since SLR has given over half the new releases to it. Every time I hope it gets better, and every time it sucks just as bad. People make the same repetitive comments on those videos over and over regarding what could be improved, and it never does. I've given up on trying to like it, and am currently of the opinion that SLR likes it because it is cheaper to film and they get cheap models most of the time. The one PT I thought was good was the one with Venus Vixen. Because there are so many points of potential mismatch between the model and the PT environment, PT is VERY hit or miss when it comes to believable quality or immersion, and it misses most of the time. That's why replacing the whole visual field in normal VR tricks the visual system much easier.

                      I fail to understand why people think you haven't tried PT or don't own a good headset when you say that you don't like it.

                          Personally thought Jessie Rogers from the "Cummitted To The Grind" scene was excellent.
                          No tattoos, no plastic, no injections. Other than her fake boobs(which aren't egregious), she's great!

                          Anyway, i signed up to SLR because of the scripts. Streaming, scripted VR sex is my goddess, so i'm all for as much variety as possible.                           What's important for me really is just a good show. Some real enthusiasm. Some actual engagement with the scene. The scene has to draw me in, i wanna feel like i'm actually there. For that, you need good direction. SLR needs to get another excellent director or two on the books, ramp up production, take the strain off poor Alex. With more artistic helmsmen, they'll draw more talent, have more variety, tell more interesting stories, the rest will follow. i understand it's difficult to find good VR directors, so yeah, it's a bit of a quest, but there you go, that's the answer.

                          I can't speak to the mind of SLR but were you around in the old VR days? That time we had belly button cameras, moaning men, dead limps actors, scale that was way off, no eye contact, looking at directors, no close-ups, bend neck syndrome and I could go on.

                          Listen I'm no fan of AR porn in it's current form. It has potential imo but the fact remains tgat the high quality VR scenes we have today came about as a consequence of a hardcore group of dedicated fans that offered constructive criticism and suggestions for years on the subreddit OculusNSFW when most studios were actually active there besides just advertising their scenes.

                          It took the better part of 2-3 years to get it all dialed it. AR porn is likely no different. I'm sure that there are dedicated fans that'll help get it better but I have no illusions that it will be great before all issues gets dialed in, ideas get implemented, etc.

                          And if the journey we had with VR is anything to go by that will undoubtful take time. Then there's a fair argument to be had if it's reasonable people should pay for that if they initially just signed up for VR.

                              I had a Pimax 8kx (hands down way better than Quest 3, the FOV is unmatchable) before it broke. I couldn't watch PT so it was a complete waste of scenes for me. After the Pimax broke I got the old Quest 2 out and was excited to try PT because of some people saying how great it is. Then I bought a Quest 3 ( waiting on Pimax 12kx, fingers crossed that it does come out)

                              My conclusion is that it is ok, I don't love it like a really good Nash scene.
                              Since so many people make assumptions about PT, I'm going to assume that people that like it so much are young guys that haven't really had very many girls walk into their bedroom IRL. If you haven't had sex or a lot of sex in your own bed then PT might really be amazing to you. I'm no sex god but watching the same thing over and over in my bedroom get pretty boring really quick.

                                Also since the directors have complete control of the scenes and Nash hasn't been on here in months. Does any of this change anything?

                                trooowiii I think shooting with AR in mind will improve both AR and VR if AI passthrough sticks around. The finer details need to be perfected with AR, which I believe will translate over well to VR.

                                Only if there is a feedback loop and directors or editors are trying to improve their work, which doesn't seem to be the case right now for any studio.

                                  Despite what some people say, I think Simsense has essentially nailed passthrough, casting, positions, camera placement, image quality and most importantly, scale. I don't get why people keep asking for more doggy regardless of whether the actress has a big ass or not

                                  Other studios still have a long way before they make enjoyable passthrough, so I think SLRO should just focus on either making an exact studio like Simsense or increasing Simsense's output. One upload a week isn't enough. In the meantime, adding a cheaper subscription that only includes SLRO content would also be nice, specially since there's no student discount anymore. It's too expensive to pay $20 a month when all I'm watching are the 4 monthly PT scenes, so I keep unsubbing and resubbing

                                      trooowiii One thing that will make regular better if they think about PT at the same time is the scaling. So many scenes the girls and everything in it is huge. I can't understand how people can watch giants in their headsets. Maybe they don't notice like I do. When you turn on PT it's like a 7ft tall 250 lb person crawling on top of you. This plagues half of all the studios on here.
                                      That would be great if they had to fix scale. Other than that the scenes could be the same as always couldn't they be. With AI PT that is. As long as they get the distance and scale and the guy in the middle of the shot.
