  • App release 13.15 (Controller binding for BT haptics, script request)

imratore did you try to delete and install the app once again? If this doesn't help, could you please send me the logs from the app, so the team can have a look at it.

ColossalBadger Could you please give more exact steps for us to try and reproduce this?
Does Keon just stop working in the middle of the script playback? Are you using just Keon or PowerBlow as well?
We would appreciate as much information as possible.

      Kieshi

Thanks for looking into this, Kieshi. 👍

App: DeoVR 13.15 (standalone Meta Quest version)
      Headset: Meta Quest 3
Interactive Sex Toy: Kiiroo Keon (without PowerBlow)

      Steps to reproduce:

      1. Start DeoVR
      2. DeoVR connects automatically to the Keon via bluetooth
      3. Play any video with a sex toy script
      4. Video and toy initially work as expected. At a random point during playback the entire app will freeze briefly and then close, returning to the Quest home screen. The crash may occur a few seconds into playback or it could take 5+ minutes.

I had no issues with the previous version of the app using the same settings. The crash does not occur when using the Haptics Connect app, only when DeoVR is directly connected via bluetooth.

RealcumberScripts Hey, thank you. So it happens every time I've used the app since the update. I won't say it's a single video that does it in particular, it's "feels" more like a timing thing, it's not really predictable. As I said, once I became aware it was going to happen more less every time I tried to provoke it by using shortcut keys like fast fwd, skip to next tag etc.

Obviously, I don't really discuss the details of how my friends consume porn, but personally I skip around to different videos a lot, I'm not like just throwing on one and watching it end to end. I'll try to keep a count next time and see if it is consistent with a certain number and/or time.

I just took a quick look at my history as that would tell maybe if the number of videos was consistent, but it would appear that it only records the first time you watch a video? Anyway, I'll try to get more datapoints over the next few days.

As an aside, am I either missing something or is this still a WIP feature. When it comes to native controls for the Quest app + direct connection, with the latest version the bind to turn on manual mode works, but you can't adjust the speed at all in the app. It'd be great if there were bindable shortcuts to increase/decrease speed but at minimum the slider doesn't seem to work in the menu either.

Kieshi I am assuming ColossalBadger is having the same issue as andman24 and I.

In my case, no powerblow which Andman24 stated he had, so from the very small sample size of three so far the commonalities are Quest (2/3) + Keon + Native Bluetooth, interestingly if going through the phone app is a workaround I'll try it, not super convenient but it is what it is for a short term fix.

Everything Colossal listed is the same for me except I feel like mine lasts longer than 5 minutes, no pun intended. Not positive if the Quest 2/3 share the same BT device/driver but worth a glance.

        Kieshi I re-installed & then sent a bug report 7007.

Waited a couple days, deleted & re-installed again & sent a couple more bug reports id 7029.

I'm checking to make sure you guys are going to put the recentering back to the way it was before the update? I now spend way to much time missing with the controls because I can't just hold down the button and over it to wherever I want to put it.
If you are going to fix this problem, then when will you put it back to the better old way? Do we have to wait till the next update? When is that?

            rerun119

The Recentering is now broken. I spent a half hour trying to see what changed before I noticed there was an update.
It used to be that if you held down the recenter button, you could move the picture all around and put it in the right spot before letting go of the button. Now when you hold it down it does nothing until you let go. But you can't tell where it is going to put the picture.
Plus you could rotate the picture if it was tilt left or right. Now you can't rotate the picture all without manually doing it. This sucks and takes 5 times as long to do. Plus before you could just hold it down and make small adjustments as the video is playing without really thinking about it. Now I spent half the time fiddling.

I'm having this same issue since the latest update for Quest 3 DeoVR. I used be able to hold A (my recenter button) and I could move the video around smoothly with my headset, including roll. Then I'd stop pressing it and the video would stay there. Now, when I hold A for recenter, the video stays in the same place and it only moves when I stop holding it, so I have no way of knowing if I placed the video properly until I stop pressing the recenter button.

I also have the same issue with the roll as rerun119. Holding the recenter button doesn't roll the video with my headset anymore. it just moves it along 2 axis.

I've tried tweaking every setting to fix it and reinstalled the app, but nothing fixed it

              imratore

Did you find anything on this? I realized that on the main screen (before clicking on a video to watch) when I turn my head & click recenter, it's tilting the screen more the wrong way.

lolitovtb Exact same thing for me. I did ask a couple different places on here. The best answer I got was that it will be fixed on the next update. Or something to the affect. They didn't really say that they were just going to put it back to the way it was before.
I'm not sure why they would spend time on making the UI auto center, there are so many things that people ask for to be fixed. I have never seen someone ask for auto center. Maybe it affects something they are trying to do in the future but this has really made it worse.

imratore I passed it on to the team to have a look, but so far we could not reproduce this.
Are you laying down when using the app or is it standard sitting/standing position?

                  4 days later

                  Kieshi This is still happening.

To test, I reinstalled the old SLR app that I stopped using in Oct. Everything works fine with it.

This is only happening for me with DeoVR app 13.15+.

Kieshi I'd like to but how do I take a screenshot of the main grid?

Also, is there a way to move this to a support email & keep the context?

imratore Hey, you can refference this forum thread when creating a support request so we can know what you already covered with Kieshi.

It would also be good if you could include the headset you're using alongside the version of DeoVR.
