  • Enable WebXR on Apple Vision Pro to watch SexLikeReal

Everyone else may already know this, but just in case. Something that’s been adding to my enjoyment of the Passthrough experiences has been using Siri to control the video. I’ve always used Moon Player in the past and because of the ease of bringing up the player controls and moving around, it was never anything I considered before. With the Passthrough workaround, however, it takes quite a bit to get to and from the player controls. The most useful Siri Commands for me have turned out to be:

“Go Back/Go Forward X Minutes and/or Y seconds”
“Go to the X Minute and/or Y seconds Point”
“Go Away”

The second one is interesting because by looking at the video on the web interface ahead of time and choosing a few key scene starts/transitions, I can instantly jump to them whenever I like. I just write them down (or actually put them on an iPad in big font) and because its Passthrough I can glance to the side to see the appropriate time to jump to when I want to make that transition.

The Siri sphere stays around for about 30 seconds when you call Siri (to allow for multiple commands) but the third command allows you to get rid of it instantly when appropriate.

This also all works in Moon Player and I like it so much (because its hands free and so easy) that I have also started using it there (but not the second command because without Passthrough I cannot glance at the jump points).

@Jjhooke69 Hey! If you're referring to WebXR, Apple currently does not provide passthrough support in Safari, so that functionality is unavailable at the moment.

On the app side, there are no updates to share for now. Let us know if you have any other questions!

AnaVR Well I definitely would like to know if the team has been looking into why passthrough does work with ALVR? Even though there's a green line around the model, it would be still awesome if the upcoming (?) DeoVR app could do it too.

@Kieshi could we get the webxr hud to where we can move it so we can lay down and still interact with the hud?

Jjhooke69 Sure, we are on it. Improving the AVP navigation system for the Hub, including hud, is a current priority.

@doublevr Do we have any movement on improvements for AVP? I understand apple has made this a crazy brutal process, has any progress been made on improvements to UI and the AVP app launch?

Year or more later, how did the 6000$ headset workout for its main purpose, porn?

Did it ever work properly for vrp videos?

The best way to use passthrough on visionOS 2.x is NOT to invoke the Control Center, but to look away from the scene and invoke "Force Quit" (simultaneously press and hold the top button and Digital Crown). Unlike the Control Center method, invoking "Force Quit" with passthrough on activates the passthrough feed WITHOUT dimming it, which is awesome.

Unfortunately, the first beta of visionOS 26 breaks this. "Force Quit" doesn't activate the passthrough feed at all. And even the Control Center method is glitchy, activating the passthrough feed only with a directional gaze (meaning depending on the position, it may be hard to have both the Control Center panel out of the way AND the passthrough feed working).

Anyway, I share @Jjhooke69 's question. @doublevr , can you please comment, especially since visionOS 26 is no longer a mystery, on what kind of passthrough (if any) will be possible in the Hyper app and when this'll all hit? I'm not sure whether it would be possible to implement an on-device AI solution that would allow passthrough without the camera feed ever leaving the device, since it looks like Apple is being "principled." By the way, great work on SLR in general. It's always been and remains the cutting edge platform for this kind of fun. Thanks.

I saw the AVP advertised as working on the banner. Haven't looked into this since 2024 and the 10 different threads and old blog post are confusing. Can someone summarize if the AVP works for SLR porn? If not for PT, for regular at least? Equally important, for those with both Quest 3 and AVP porn experience, are the 8k files noticeably a better viewing experience on AVP over Quest 3? Like, do OLED and pixel make a huge difference or whats your take? I don't need it to be relative to the cost increase (ie. It doesn't ned to be 7x better viewing experience), but is it significant/game changer?

spatialsplooge Thanks for sharing this. Yes, better than the control center method not only because of the dimming but you can also put it off to the side and easily bring the video controls in and out which you could not do with the control center approach. Sorry to hear that it’s not working in the Beta of visionOS 26 though. If it doesn’t work in the full release that will be a shame.

Ventriloquist_Tacos Yes, the Vision Pro works. I cannot speak to the relative quality compared to the Quest 3 but the quality on the AVP is simply mind bending to me personally. Simplest way for you to compare yourself, if you have a fast Internet connection, start by just going to SLR via Safari on the AVP. Choose the “Enter VR” option, allow hand tracking, and sign in. I would suggest using a code to sign in. Sign in to SLR on another device like an iPhone or iPad, then go to sexlikereal.com/code on that device and enter the sign in code from the AVP. (You can enter your username/password directly on the AVP but I find that much more time consuming myself).

Ventriloquist_Tacos - I own both the Quest 3S and AVP. AVP video/image quality is without a doubt considerably better than Q3S, and if you have the money to spare, go for it. OLED and pixel density make all the difference on downloaded content. Quest wins on controller support, but that should (hopefully) come soon to Safari if SLR devs incorporate the API.

I would only caveat that you should not update to visionOS 26 yet, as it breaks some of the WebXR stability from vision OS 2, i.e. cams don't load on SLR, but they do on other platforms.

Ventriloquist_Tacos I should have been clear that the Safari method was just a quick way to get a sense of viewing experience if you had access to an AVP. Also, forgot to mention, that for me, when using Safari, 3840p works pretty well but 4000p starts and stops. For regular usage, I only use the Safari method for SLR passthrough. I use download and play for everything else.
