Kieshi When I click the "Watch in VR" button, I get a pop-up saying, "Safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid."

Kieshi when I click the VR glasses button, it launches into an immersive player, but it is just audio and a gray screen. Any idea what I’m doing wrong? Tried turning the WebXR flags off and on again and restarting, same result.

Same here, audio but no video. The resolution dropdown is stuck on 1080 as well.

Getting closer!

Kieshi immersive mode works and i see the play button and my virtual hands and pointers, but the entire screen is grey. i also dont know how to select anything, but somehow got play to work but still all grey

harigeharry Need to take that back about Ivry's hack 'coming soon', I understand they dont even have an AVP yet and will only get one by April, damn ...

Am able to get into hub and view a single frame (mostly by exiting immersive mode and going back in). Other than not playing video, somethings off with the 3D when looking at a single frame. Zooming out it 0.8 helps some. Also can't seem to select 8k or other res. Also need to make sure to confirm cookies pop up which was a little small.

From the regular site, can switch to immersive mode via the VR goggles once video has started, but getting the same gray environment with audio only that others have described.

Hi guys, we passed on a quick fix for the grey screen you were seeing. This should make it work properly 😊

Kieshi @doublevr Thanks Kieshi. The picture does work now rather than the grey screen, but the next issue is that it seems you can only use 1080p, so the picture is very low quality. You can click on higher qualities, and when you do that, you get the graphic pop up to show the higher quality picture is loading, but then it just goes back to 1080.

Some other observations along the lines of Vision Pro's usability for this so-called Spacial Computing concept. IMO, it's a train wreck for anything besides watching 3D content. As a software developer for 18 years, working from home for the past 8 years, I sit in an Aeron chair, at an ultra-wide 38" curved monitor, with my MacBook screen displaying Slack to my left, and a TKL backlit mechanical keyboard. I prefer a wireless Logitech mouse. I have gel/rubber wrist-wrests for both the keyboard and mouse. I'm so comfortable that I can pull 18 hour flight-to-Australia programming shifts without even realizing. It's a carefully cultivated development studio environment. Bringing the Vision Pro into here has been an absolute failure. VisionOS is so not ready for prime-time. It's the most buggy Apple product I've ever used, and were it not for the breathtaking hi-res 3D content on these amazing uOLED screens, I would definitely be returning it. Basically, it's got one use for me, VR pron. Let's hope we get some quality player apps.

GfLm Getting mine delivered within the next two weeks, and I only bought it for VR Porn as well. Just like you, I'm also REALLY hoping for some quality player apps.

Kieshi Thanks. Works at 1920 max. When are higher resolutions going to work?

On that note, should AVP users download h.264 or h.265 files?

Does the higher lens quality of vision pro boost the image clarity at all? I mean it's all still 5k to 8k videos at max so is there any difference between quest 3 and vision pro in these videos when you watching.

hottea Never used any of the Meta headsets so can't compare to that, but even at 1920, the AVP is pretty good. No screendoor effect at all.

Anyone with an AVP interested in checking out these spatial porn videos?

Please let me know how they compare to standard VR porn. I've been reading a lot of conflicting opinions about spatial videos. Some people say spatial videos are just apple marketing
words for standard 3d video, and some say they appear more immersive. If true, vr porn will be next level on the avp.

Garyindiana2 yes, we are aware of this and are working on making it work with higher resolutions šŸ™‚
