ive tried pt, its kinda cool. But it just reminds me of when you would have those porn ads for porn models on your desktop in the corner or something. it's just a normal VR vid, just the star cut out the scene and overlayed into your headset really. No adapting to the lighting or blending with your environment really. with horrible black and green outline gaps and bugs.
Overall I give credit to SLR, it's a niche that could grow if developed. However, I think it's just a mix of " running before you can walk" in the sense that SLR still can't reliability shoot originals with great camera placement, positioning, story etc. Maybe get these foundational key aspects down first before trying new stuff. Czechvr is one of the most loved sites in VR because they have great camera position and quality. The models there are pretty ass and can't speak English but if they ever opened a US studio, it would be over for every VR site because they have mastered camera positioning.
Also think it's a case of " spinning too many plates at once" You have SLR perhaps being too innovative, to the detriment of its core fanbase and content. (I have no real evidence to prove this, heads up) But it can't be a coincidence that the quality of SLR scenes has taken a dip with the rise of PT scenes and the growth of the catalogue on their site, I think that's perhaps why there exists some disdain towards PT scenes. I don't think this, I just think SLR has gotten a little complacent and struggles to find directors (they self-admit this by desperately searching for a director/scene producer to the point they even considered hiring an accused rapist/Sa)

But ye, seems a no-brainer going forward to give Alex Nash more say/productions seeing as he's liked here. But I just hope "revamping" isn't a word for fewer originals, with Alex Nash casting most of them. Just get the camera placements down and have a decent rotation of kinks that get provided and you're golden.

      I can definitely see where you are coming from, the autistic side of me I guess just loves the constant jump from one innovation to another. I tend to work on projects and skillsets the same way, start something, go full force and then hop to something else that catches my eye. I can respect your point of view and I'm not so far detached from my own biases to agree that perhaps some of this is definitely at play and felt by a good group of people as well. I hope those areas do improve because they sure are fundamentals and they should be mostly spot on by any major studio producing and charging for scenes at this level.

        so SLR has provided a cost effective solution for you giving you 3 sites for a cheaper price than what you would pay if you had to individually subscribe to Real Jam and PornCorn.             He has literally produced the same scene in his last four releases using the same similar bodied model that sometimes have a slightly different face lol 😃 but no criticism from the hypocrites. When other directors show this lack of creativity they get slated.

            Quality wise the scenes are very low at 2900p and again not a pipsqueak from the hypocrites - Give me a PT 4000p scene any day of the week.

                I think it's a bit unfair/ dishonest seeing as 3/4 of these scenes are from a "royal consort" series they tried. I also wouldn't count 4 as a large enough sample size.

                Appears he has the same range of bodies as in PT videos. so I suppose it would also be a criticism you would throw at PT scenes as well? personally wouldn't throw that criticism at either, they mostly both shoot petite girls or TNA girls I guess.                 It could just be me not really on these forums until very recently, but I rarely see directors get criticised for similar models. It's normally brands as a whole e.g. naughty America casting fake tits and ass girls. I normally see directors get criticized for positioning/ position choices/performers not being told to make correct eye contact or just the kink choice. For Alex it would be his armpit thing, I think some people have found it a little odd and too much. Also when people criticise "creativity" it's normally the scenario of the scene, not really the performer. I would actually say that one of the biggest reasons Alex Nash gained popularity is because he shoots a range of scenarios from Taboo scenes to threesomes to harems to movie parodies to intimate GFE to random one-off scenes.

                I don't know the point you are making lol. I don't think anyone is arguing for lower-quality videos. Again if you approached in good faith I think everyone universally would choose higher resolution/clarity videos. PT and VR fans alike. So this just comes across as bitterness to some people you have beef with.

I tried them, and the added value isn't worth it specially because these were shot terribly (again bad angles, only compatible with cowgirl, models not looking at the camera, should I keep going?).                                 theHobbit No I'm not happy if I lose them, that being said they already release their scenes months after their rlz on realjamvr.com so sometimes I like to subscribe to RJVR and SLR has lost its value to me. I'm actually telling you that SLR think they are "so strong and invincible" yet other sites are slowly fading away and it doesn't seem like it matters to them. I don't think it's a good news for them or customers, but that's the way it is when you keep releasing crappy videos. See swallowboy is leaving, Realjamvr was releasing videos almost same day, now it's months after.. Same goes with Fuckpassvr. See a pattern here?
                                2020 SLR Originals was their golden age, and SLR 2023 is just laughable.
                                But they think Simsense and PT is da best and will be enough $$$ for them to survive and crush the competition. But I think they are wrong (again read the reasons I already explained 2 times before), and see it's starting with studios leaving. Hey, why do you think they are "resetting Originals production" if everything is 100% fine and all good?

                                      Matt12345 I think part of the problem is that the SLR Originals producers are stuck in their ways and aren't trying to fine-tune things like camera position to a level of perfection like CzechVR has done. SLR just throws money at their producers and says "here, make some porno" and there is no real incentive for these types of improvements to be made.

                                        This studio was not getting crazy engagement from what i remember, Also the they shoot like every 2weeks to 20days judging from their site. So i think its more a business choices to not have a studio thats dying on their site. Also if you point to this as proof of the site declining or dying. You have to point to new studios that get added like porncorn, vrspy, forbidden vr as signs of growth no? I think this is just frustration argument rather than one out of merit.

                                        I don't think SLR have ever claimed everything is perfect, nor do I think they are on a sinking ship. however, businesses regroup and assess their plans all the time. This isn't unique, even thriving businesses adapt and assess their practices. So this is nothing but a positive. So odd you would use this as a negative.

                                                      metichemsi I have all my jav auto translated and while not perfect you can completely follow the story and most of what is said. From that I can tell the stories are often very creative and diverse and understanding them only makes it more intimate imo (would be insane if Japanese is your native language).

                                                      Totally agree on the intimacy part. The best JAV scenes are still so much better in that than the best western counterparts. Not that there aren't any intimate scenes around here it's just another level and much more prevalent. I think generally more of the scenes here should take a lesson.

                                                      I don't think it's just one thing that makes JAV more intimate either. It's a lot of little things like: not rushing, how the girls are often comfortable and present, warm, not over acting, over moaning, fucking like a gf instead of a porn star, etc. Then there is the camera placement, how the girls are often very close to you, the kissing, licking, positions, pacing, role play, scene build up, creative scenarios, scene length, not trying to push in every position in roughly the same sequence every time. The girls that do JAV are also just better in doing these kind of scenes I think.

                                                                    This whole forum is like a stuck record the moment PT is mentioned, it just implodes.

                                                                    PT is just one aspect of VR, it has not replaced VR, it is new. It's just another way to view stuff with a VR headset, it has a niche appeal, just like VR does, and has many limitations at present, just like VR does.

                                                                    The real issue is the passion that people have for a website that they have sunk money and emotional support into. If they think that thing they love is being threatened in some way, they will react negatively. And a lot of people have sunk a lot of money and passion into SLR. So when they see content being removed, or a particular way of shooting gaining prominence, they react emotionally.

                                                                    it's not rocket science... it's people science....

                                                                    What SLR need to do is be more clear in how they are dealing with these issues. To be more understanding about the love people have for the content, and to be more understanding about the way their customers react when it gets rug-pulled from under them. Perhaps calling the entire community 'a bunch of fucking idiots' because a single person questions a decision, is maybe not the best way to resolve a complaint. If you're not being clear about how decisions are made, then expect the customers responses to be volatile and uninformed as a result.

                                                                    As to the topic at hand, the answer is quite simple, experiment, be more human, write some interesting scripts, get back to your roots! People generally consider the best SLRO material to be from a couple of years ago... just... do it like that again?

                                                                    The largest elephant in the room, that i wanna touch on briefly, is the fact that VR will never, ever, be the equal of 2D (and vice versa). 2D is the mind's eye, the use of a single plane to create an image, essentially this hasn't changed since we started slapping burnt ochre on cave walls 50k years ago. We had an idea in our head, and this was a way to transmit it to another entity. And it's been that way ever since, the 2D image is the mind's eye, an entirely subjective thing, constantly trying to approximate an objective view. Recent cinema has tried to blend this as much as possible, the found footage genre, the film "Hardcore Henry", but essentially it's still a subjective view cleverly imitating the objective one.

                                                                    VR is the objective view. It is the slave of the objective view. It is bound irresolutely to it. And it's why it's so god-damn fucking good. It 'cheats' its way past all the conventions of the last 50k years, it inserts your consciousness into that of another, and allows you to experience a visual reality in a very similar manner to the entity experiencing it. Bound as you are to that entity, you still have the ability, within that volume, to choose what you're looking at. And thus it becomes truly objective, no longer are you directed in what you see, perception is no longer curated, you're free to look at whatever you want. That's what makes it REALITY, virtual or not. And that's why interactives work so well in VR, they're another experience to 'fool' the biology into believing the reality. The more immersive the interaction become, the better it becomes.

                                                                    So, with those limitations, and advantages in mind, make some truly immersive SLRO's, please. Blow my tiny fucking mind with the amazing experiences. Put me into people, and places i've never been. Or put somebody i'd never expected into my bedroom, (why is PT all cute vanilla girls?), gimme MILF, gimme weird, gimme somebody sitting on my cock for 20 mins just talking hypnotically, wtvr, just get outside the box, and keep going...

                                                                        (1) An application form for first-time models
                                                                        (2) Fewer videos with big tattoo-covered MILFs
                                                                        (3) Contributions from established studios, like BackroomCastingCouch, FTVGirls, AMKingdom, and maybe Naked News.

                                                                        I'd also recommend:
                                                                        (4) Solo-content in passthrough
                                                                        (5) Gay / male / lesbian content for women

                                                                        There's a ton of creators that do POV taboo roleplaying virtual sex with success in 2D land. I've been in contact with some of them on eg. X and OnlyFans and they do express interest in VR but they simply don't have the knowhow to do it.

                                                                        What can these people bring to VR? Well they obviously have large fanbases but what's better is they know how to act out a engaging POV roleplay. They are productive. They are creative. They think out of the box. Just try and take a look at Sydney Harwin - she's a creative and productive powerhouse making at times full feature almost 2 hour long mom/son roleplays all on her own. Recently she managed to gather 25 mom/son roleplaying actress from around the globe in one long 4 hours movie and got it all done within 2-3 weeks. That's quite a feat.

                                                                        Penny Parker is among these superstars - look at the success of her scenes on your platform. There's clearly a market for it and you could be the provider of it in VR/AR. There's so many names you could look at - Sydney Harwin, Jodi West, Mindy Mink, Bettie Bondage, Xev Bellringer, Sloan Moans, Rhea Sweet, Kelly Payne, Larkin Love and the list goes on and on.

                                                                        You have the knowhow these superstars in their field lack. Taboo roleplays are clearly one of the most popular niches in porn. Why not try to establish contact with a couple of them, offer them advice, maybe even a setup and how to film correctly for VR and get them to release exclusively on SLR. It doesn't even have to be 8K.

                                                                            InfiniteFun PT is just one aspect of VR, it has not replaced VR, it is new. It's just another way to view stuff with a VR headset, it has a niche appeal, just like VR does, and has many limitations at present, just like VR does.

                                                                                It's a great idea but I doubt it will happen. SLR seems to be known for its robust (or perhaps risk-averse) attitude to compliance, and there's a reason you don't generally see these performers doing proper taboo stuff for major studios, or when you do, it's very watered-down compared to their usual fare. The Alex Nash taboo stuff has been very hit and miss IMHO. Or you have Taboo VR Porn, which never misses an opportunity to drop 'step' into the dialogue every thirty seconds. I'm surprised there isn't a banner constantly scrolling across the top of the screen saying 'THESE CHARACTERS ARE NOT RELATED'.

                                                                                Also, you mention Sydney Harwin who is (mostly) a solo performer, at least in the stuff she puts on the tube sites - which IMHO is not great content for VR - as are many other taboo performers nowadays; and personally I could do without Tommy Torso or Derek Dildo in the scene either. Don't get me wrong, I love most of the performers you named there and others, like Brianna Beach or classic-era Rachel Steele (can't say I like the 'new' her very much, TBH) or Janet Mason; sadly many are now retired or inactive (Mandy Flores is missed). But it's not just about the performer in this particular niche, it's about the content, and I don't think SLR or any major site has the desire to push the boundaries beyond what the 'step' studios do already. Compliance is king and it's safer to go with what you know you can get away with, rather than take the risk of being the latest target of MasterCard or Visa's wrath. Smaller sites and individuals selling content on clip sites generally avoid that sort of scrutiny.

                                                                                I'll watch what happens with the Originals 'reboot' with interest, but my primary interest here is content aggregation and the provision of scripts, and provided there's content I want to watch with scripts I enjoy, I'll be happy. If studios start to pull their content because they want / need to increase revenue on their own sites, then it's the dismantling of Netflix all over again, and I will not be happy because I have zero interest in juggling several subscriptions to smaller sites every month.
