  • AR masks for VR videos - Yay or Nay?

Seems kind of silly to me personally. I don’t like when girls use filters on IG. Don’t think I would ever use them in VR.

I’d rather see the staff allocate their time towards something else. Just my opinion

No, seems useless to me. Maybe in the future when you can actually do some major things like change a person but now I don't see the point.

    fenderwq Maybe

True, but if it gonna happen it's gotta start somewheres, and if slr doesn't do some other vr studio could, im just assuming...besides this would just be an option for the viewer to use if they wanted to.

KingJamaica Changing model eye color would be perfect.

Also changing male skin color would be great.

Well shit, look at that, on capcut you can do that

      Before

      After

      I went kinda goth.
But if you could do that on the fly in deo would be pretty cool, I played the video and the make up stayed on pretty good. Notice the freckles?

See you can add different filters to there face

Would be cool to do that on the fly while watching a video.

I would like to change hair color and makeup if I could with a tongue twirl 👅

      The potential is huge.
I hope they will create realistic tool, it will be game changer.

There's one that makes the person look hotter, realistically. Not cartoonish.
It's not a before and after picture for makeup, everything else in the picture, every single hair strand, is identical. If you look past the compression artifacts.

IDK. The way things are going, future generations won’t know what it’s like to see an image that hasn’t been manipulated in one way or another! 😂

It’s already getting difficult. People’s image of what a regular person looks like is already skewed. Things like lip injections and getting botoxed to within an inch your life are being normalized thanks to the “Real Housewives of who gives a fuck”.

IDK. Maybe I’m just getting older. But I find all this kind of sad. What ever happened to the beauty is in the imperfections?

Isn’t it enough we all get to have virtual sex with some 21 year old hottie? Do you really want to apply some AR filter to remove “faults” that aren’t really there?

I honestly don’t see the appeal. To me, it’s seems like a novelty at best. Something that you might play around with for a day or two. Then never use again. And you’re going to devote how many man hours developing it?

It sounds like you guys are already leaning towards doing it anyways. I doubt I’ll ever use it. As long as you can leave it off, knock yourselves out.

AR filters could be interesting if it's easy to do (less dev time) and if you can turn it off.
I would only use it for customizing the model's makeup, eye color, hair color or reverting lip filler.

realtime AR tracking is not perfect so any glitches or artifacts will definitely ruin the experience.

However, offline AR tracking (using a PC/Mac) is near perfect so that could work.

Enabling users to create and share their own AR filters using a tool would be a huge plus (kind of like how haptic scripts are made).

bacula8630 People’s image of what a regular person looks like is already skewed.

I never knew they spray meat to look pretty on the shelves, everything is filtered, nothing is as it seems.

            I'm just saying. Lol

            bacula8630 Isn’t it enough

            Lol, uhh...no

You ever heard the song push it to the limit on the scarface movie and then Rick Ross did a remix, PUSH IT TO THE LIMIT" 😏

Pupupush it to the limit! Lol

My bad man I'm haf and drunk 🥴 🤪 🤣

Lol next we'll be talking about how to alter body parts 🤦‍♂️, lol bigger boobs or smaller 🤣

MickyCheese and if you can turn it off

Of course it will be an option, lol hell maybe they been adding filters we just never noticed it 😅
Maybe it's all filterd lol...🤔 it is

dango789 This is perfect. If executed well, I’d use this on a lot of performers instead of hiding them.

I once or twice suggested letting models wig up and become different characters of them selves in regular vrp and not just for cosplay, why? Well cause we see some of these models a lot in vr, lol one would be Blake blossom idk how many times I've seen her in vr but after a while and I seen one viewer say they got kinda bored of her cus she's done so many vrp in a short time, that's when I thought well if she dressed her self up to look different maybe that bord'um of her appearance wouldn't happen, birth the idea of wigging up. look different, be a different character, these models are "actors" performers" let them perform be a different character, I wonder if Blake blossom can do a Russian accent 🤔 that be hot. And do it in a regular vrp video...it doesn't haven't to be they only doing it cuz it's sum cosplay scene.

Idk, I'm rambling again my bad. I hope I'm mak8ng any sense 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️. Probably not lol

I hope all this AI augmentation won't lead to a future where we get that over the top photoshopped fake look you see in a lot of porn images (without any way to turn it off or on). Hate that, imagine someone like Agatha getting that, would be such a shame.

Btw, AI is developing crazy fast and it wouldn't surprise me that in 5+ years you can swap a person in near real-time. That would be insane right? To change the appearance of a girl, swap out a girl with your favorite girl, see a girl who has never done VR, is retired or is older now, put yourself in the scene, etc. It's gonna be interesting to see how this all evolves that's for sure. Hope porn stars won't strike any time soon lol
