  • AR masks for VR videos - Yay or Nay?

  • [deleted]

doublevr Yay, but reasonably. I think it's a cool thing to try out, like changing eye colors, makeup or make them a bit cartoonish, but please, for GOD's sake, no dog faces or anything crazy like that. I don't want any awkward or bizarre scenes coming out of it. As long as there's a simple off switch, I'm totally down for giving it a shot!

Replying to the original post i thought, what's the point, but there are some interesting uses being suggested here. I would definitely use it if i could change makeup, facial proportions, hair color etc. on the fly. If it works anything like filters on tiktok/ snapchat, that sounds possible

A big nay for me unless they are an optional thing that you can switch on or off in a scene.

Actually having these masks for flat videos should be doable right now.

VR videos will be coming with the next tech cycle once we get more processing power
