  • How do we make SLR cool?

That's a great idea. WetVR is under terrible management. It's the odd man out from within the studio that owns it. Propose a temporary collaboration where SLR hosts their films. Also, for anyone thinking of subbing to them, do yourself a favor and don't. Unlike SLR, they aren't reliable or secure. The trial option they have is a total scam (I actually requested and received a refund from Epoch, which should indicate how untrustworthy and deceptive their practices are.)

Another idea for you: when the mainstream media reports on the Quest 3, make it your mission that as many as possible refer to the headset as the "ultimate porn device" or a "sex holodeck" etc. Make this part of the conversation. The Q3 to most of the world is just another boring gadget and they have nothing really to say about it, but give them a salacious angle and they will lap it up. You could have psychologists give sound bites on this. Remember when when Apple talked about the "retina display" being some kind of benchmark, well you could do the same thing with the Quest 3 and specifically your new camera rig and your passthrough technology. You want the women on The View to say "so apparently the 10k cameras they use now are so detailed and the display in this thing is so advanced, it's like really having sex, you can see the guy or girl in the room with you - so what does that mean for our future" - that kind of shit. Hop on the back of the Q3 marketing machine and get people talking about the exciting technology of AR/VR porn. Then when the Apple headset comes, do it again.

Define what makes content "like real sex", back this up with science and psychology, and take ownership of humanity's exploration into virtual sex.

Oh, and make a documentary for Netflix called Sex Like Real.

sheldoncooper I think going for a big change is very risky. Look at Dezyred, I don't think that concept is doing very well tbh.

I would focus on 6DOF and immersion in general. One of the unique features of VR is that you can look around 360 degrees and move with controllers.

There are almost no scenes that make use of 360 let alone 180. Most of the action is still in front of you with limited flexibility to move. I would recommend to focus on 6 DOF and useage of the full 360 or 180.

doublevr around 100k.
@doublevr

100k users? Are you guys profitable?

Profit options

  • Fan involvement funding. Prestige studio has a series where each new model auditions through visiting three fans for her first three scenes.
  • Custom videos. The economy is about to tank big-time, on purpose. Offer custom video options for wealthy fans.
  • Marketing. Why don't you partner with popular models from OnlyFans. They get to borrow a camera and hard drive and do profit sharing. Some models are suitably creative for your needs, like https://www.freyafields.com/about, https://onlyfans.com/loverlaci (1 million+ likes!), https://onlyfans.com/bendypiri (famous UK Singer, now doing HC), https://onlyfans.com/lunasilverx (former Miss Universe contest, & won major Irish scholarship before moving to Amsterdam to shoot porn)

vrpicasso sometimes i feel flat videos from tubes are cooler to watch in VR than VR videos itself. Meta does a great job for tubes making it work nicely in Meta browser.

MickyCheese while the tech is progressing on its own, making things cool is out of tech. The same way like TikTok, Facebook, Twitter and all the social networks are nothing like interacting in real world. Instagram, Youtube and everything are creating another layer on top of real to make things exciting rather than real.

Porn is anything but real.

Current tech is enough, we just want to pack it right.

Getting all the VR videos, dropping compliance and making SexLikeReal free might make it much more popular than it's now, but someone would have to fund millions of dollars operation. No ads is going to cover that

thatoculusdude that’s the plan now 👍
ChatGPT is in works. Plenty of stuff is happening there.

Still we have to figure out how to pack it right. Getting product oriented CMO would be really cool

Rustam1990 Nail intimacy, try out different things. Body worship, spit exchange, face/ear licking, caressing, (post-orgasm) cuddling. These are intimate, immersive things that are surprisingly not seen in western VR porn frequently.

There have to be creators making these. It’s near impossible to do it cool without someone being deep into it.

Allow more user-suggested scenes. Not saying every scene should be that but at least give us subscribers a bit of say.
It’s up for producers. They are doing really poor job on that. I’d wish there would be more producers around better engaging with community. These scenarios are really cool

The SLR website is good but please get rid of the "beta" warning whenever I try to access it. More timely presentation of previews and upcoming scenes (right now it is good, 5 on the queue with some much-anticipated Euro scenes later this month). There should be a large banner on the main SLRO website to show off the latest scenes (like in VRB).

Going to fix that. Otherwise you should really try streaming slr with the DeoVR app

Docbear64 good points. We definitely can do better job making SLR better discoverable.

I have big hopes for our flat effort as it both makes SLR content and tech available for smartphone users and also brings all the abundant flat content to VR users. Handy connectivity is crucial there. Also will be releasing OnlyFans functionality soon along with smartphone streaming option for those girls inside headset and on smartphones

I don’t think we should use other platforms to promote SLR the same like TikTok isn’t using Youtube for that. We might actually have some tube uploads for fun.

We can have many thoughts inventing this or that. Right now my strategy would be to consolidate current assets like flat production, script creators, etc.

One woman per film, unless you have a good story to tell, like DreamTeam.

First off, I would like to compliment SLR. You guys are always looking to improve and innovate. A quality that made you successful in the first place. But it feels sometimes you going in too many directions. And pursuing too many things at once. And more basic things like releases without technical issues have become more frequent.

I know the people that work on the releases aren’t the same people that work on new features. And one has very little to do with the other. But releasing scenes free from issues is the foundation of your business. And without that, all these cool and innovative features you may want to incorporate are on shaky ground.

Continue to innovate? Yes. Of course. But make sure the more foundational aspects of your business don’t get neglected as a result.

You’re a strong leader @doublevr. And your passion to keep the business and industry growing is evident. But please, don’t lose sight of what’s directly around you when you’re looking towards the horizon.
