doublevr from what I’ve heard progressives aren’t friends of porn people either
Maybe you talk about ultra hardcore feminists or whatever but the huge majority of progressives is pretty ok with porn. If anything they want to improve the conditions of people working in this industry instead of telling them what they should do or shouldn't do with their own bodies. That's a VERY right wing thing to do...
Once the politics started on this thread I'm out haha
Credit card companies arent going to let you porn sites promote any of those major red flag topics, regardless of what political party or elected officials are in place, to think otherwise is not correct.
Youtube is run by some of the most liberal people you can think of and they have some of the strictest content policies right now, some flawed, but still strict overall and that has nothing to do with liberal or conservative public officials. The porn industry has to be super careful because it's still widely viewed as taboo here in the US, there have been countless instances of tube sites and porn sites falling into some big scandals with lawsuits and even underage performers and human trafficking cases. Nobody in the credit card space wants to deal with that crap and they will make sure they are protected by laying some very clear and strict policies for those who wish to use them.
Everything does not boil down to blaming it on liberals or conservatives, specially porn taboo categories here in the US.

It doesn't matter who's in place as long as there are conservative biggots being out there using a ridiculous lawsuit system in their favor. That's the actual problem. There are no huge scandals in Eastern Europe. It's not because there are not cases of underage porn or human trafficing. It's because nobody actually can start ridiculous private lawsuits against that. If there's a criminal case the officials will look into it and that's about it. The whole issue is a 100% American one and you guys apply your fucked up systems to the whole world, thanks for that.

LordCrash Simply not true though. US media doesn't give a shit about what happens abroad. And so MC/Visa don't give much of a shit either.
Not my point. I meant that since MC/Visa are based in the US and are subject to the scrutiny of the media there, they set their content policies in accordance with the US approach to what is or is not problematic, and since they don't have per-country content policies (or so it was implied up-thread) then whatever policies they apply, they apply globally.
Now, they might be more lax in enforcing those policies in Europe, or European banks and processors might be more relaxed about applying their policies because they don't fear a crackdown as much, but any content creator with a global audience whose aim is to be as safe as possible will likely end up following the guidelines for what would be acceptable in the US.
I would much prefer if it the card networks and banks and processors could not be held responsible for what people who use their services do with them, and didn't care what you produce as long as it's legal, but that ship has sailed.
Is this no alcohol rule the reason some of the FuckPassVR scenes have disappeared? Namely the Allie Addison, Kyler Quinn & Chloe Temple scenes?
Hadn’t noticed. Bummer.
Hopefully they’ll be back after a bit of re-editing.
Lucky for me, I downloaded all those scenes already!
LordCrash wow, you actually think that conservative bigots play more of a role on US based credit card company decisions than actual human trafficking scandals and underage performer cases coming up on tube sites????? Tell me, what took PH down? Was it conservative bigots or cases of underage performers and cases revolving around human trafficking? If Europe does not have any problems with these type of situations then thats your problem, we do, an until the porn industry has time to clean itself of more of these types of issues, it will continue to enforce more strict regulations regardless of what you believe.
Let's be sure to please keep this thread civil and avoid personal attacks. I haven't read up through all the posts above so if I missed something that should be deleted feel free to flag it.
Last I checked no one hear is personally the CEO or on the Board of Visa/Mastercard making these decisions, nor has anyone personally condoned any forms of sex slavery, so let's avoid any weirdly personal attacks/generalizations.
doublevr The future must be libertarian, I guess (I HOPE).
Fuck. I'm so pissed off. I checked my favs and many have "red flags." It's impossible to download JAV, right? Not even if I buy them? I'm legit worried about those.
I’ve seen a couple posts saying that a particular scene is no longer available. Are you guys systematically going through the scenes and making sure they’re compliant? Will these scenes be available again after they go through this verification?

How stupid is a political and regulatory system that can't differentiate between an "everyone can upload" tube site and a professional production studio working along the basic industry rules (with age verification on set etc.) and selling their content on their own site? If these so morally upright banking companies actually wanted to save the poor children they could easily withdraw their full support from said tube sites while continuing doing regular business with professional industry entities. Basically, how business works in every other damn industry...
Or do you think restaurants shouldn't be allowed to sell steaks anymore because some people offering food on the street actually sell dog food labelled as a tenderloin? Somebody doesn't play by the rules and act in criminal manner so simply punish everybody, including those who are prefectly legit? What's wrong with society these days, damn...
metichemsi If Europe does not have any problems with these type of situations then thats your problem,
LOL, that's not what I've said and that's not how it actually works. In Europe, people understand that collective punishment due to the misteps and criminal activities of a select view is neither justified nor reasonable. As long as you act according to the law you should be allowed to do your business. It's up to the police and authorities to catch the actual criminals and put them in jail and not up to the banking system. They have no fucking regulatory power or better, they shouldn't have. That's what actual authorities are there for, to enforce the actual law and to make sure that everybody plays nice. The banking system is there to provide financial support for those who want to do business according to the laws. That's their one and only purpose, not more, not less. Fucking morons.
And maybe, on a final note, do you want to tell me how forbidding piss drinking in porn scenes actually protects children from abuse or how it prevents women from human trafficing? I'd really like to know.
I guess it's totally the progressives who want to tell women what they should be allowed to do and what they shouldn't be allowed to do with their own bodies. It's widely known that that's one of the core goals of progressive policies...
metichemsi I remember when the pornhub thing came up and they tried to claim it was all about underage performers and human trafficking. It was pointed out at the time by many that it was a tiny, tiny minuscule amount of scenes and a very small fraction of the level of underage, human trafficking stuff on the likes of Facebook. It was all bullshit made up by the anti-porn brigade to try to cripple the site even after they totally cleaned up their act and removed all pirated content. If people were really worried about pornhub being crammed full of illegal underage porn, then surely the site would’ve been closed down and people sent to prison instead of leaving it as it is and just stopping them from receiving credit card payments.
had some friends on there getting a 1000bucks per million views before it all happened...it was an integral part of their finances...got cut down big time, but they're mostly still on the site, just not as excited and motivated
Just noticed a Realjam scene has gone with Valentina Lapiedra. Hot scene as well if a little rough around the edges. I assume it’s gone as she was holding a glass of champagne (probably not champagne) at the start to celebrate her boyfriend’s birthday and didn’t even take one sip of it.
It’s ridiculously paranoid to think anyone is removing credit card billing over that. Even if you were that concerned, just remove the first 10 seconds of the scene, you don’t need to pull the whole thing. No other site is panicking like this.
petermc Oh ok, I didnt realize that if there is only a "tiny, tiny, miniscule" amount of underage performers or human trafficking it should be alright for credit card companies to be perfectly ok. Wow, you blame conservative bigots but your stance is just as absurd as the one you claim to be responsible for your woes. Tube sites have been targeted more by actual porn studios since their inception than any legislation. Get over it, porn in the US continues to be a taboo subject and bad headlines like that will never result in inaction or easing of regulations by US companies. If Europe and the rest of the world are perfectly fine with a tiny amount of underage performers and human trafficking, then have at it.
Better yet, go complain to the japanese legislation instead, the CC companies may not be ok with certain subject matter but at least they dont censor any nudity. But thats not conservative bigotry right?
I'm done arguing about your first world problems
metichemsi I’m not saying a small amount is ok, (I actually said people should go to prison for that stuff) I’m saying they were treated disproportionately in comparison to non-porn sites that have way bigger issues with these things. It was not a move to curb underage and other illegal content. If it was, they would’ve shut the site down. It was part of an anti-porn agenda from the religious crazies in the US.
