for me too the version of deo since December 2023 lag; so I use an old version of deo. I specify that I do not have a quest (I ordered one then returned it because it is complicated when using a pc), but reverb g2

PS I mainly use heresphere because "sharp" works well (I put it at maximum) which allows that the videos often too blurry for my taste become sharper, the faces have a more marked character what; with deo: "sharp" does not work well: it does not give the precision of "sharp" of heresphere; I do not know why but it is like that; the difference of sharpness with heresphere and sharp is obvious: because when I open a video it takes a few seconds before "sharp" acts: and we see the difference
iddqd We will try reworking Steam version of the app.
I can't use the steam version with my Pimax either. The setting menu starts glitching and skipping all over the place. Then the longer you use it the worse the video plays. I truly can not use it anymore at all. Hepesphere works like a champ with everything, always.
I don't understand just saying we are better than they are. Just because you say it doesn't convince me of anything.
I don't see people saying Playa app is better than DEO or Whirigig is better than DEO because they aren't. Hereshpere is better than all others imo. So go copy what he does and make it better than the one guy. That is how all business works. If he did copy something from you guys then that is great for us users. Don't just say you are better, become better then you won't have to say anything
Yeah the seek speed on heresphere is really good. BTW, seeking in deovr quest is much faster then deovr steam for some reason.
iddqd No this is untrue because the problem started immediately after the early mid december update to deovr. I also had used deovr less than a week prior and it was working at that time and there was no quest update in between. This was 100% that deovr update and you guys are ignoring what im telling you. This was before any quest update. I was using quest 2 at the time, im now using quest 3.
I dont really use any native quest programs. Mostly all PC. I like having access to everything on the PC.
doublevr I dont know about what code is inside it that would make you call it a copy, but from a user experience all that matters is it seeks literally 20 times faster than deovr and it has a crapload more features, hotkeys and so much more. Its telling that instead of improving your product to the level of HS which is far better you just say its a copy.
sylvan How did you use an older version of deovr? The devs here are telling us thats not possible.
ThorOfAsgard What it sounds like to me is as if someone stripped down an old car to its chassis and rebuilt it on the original chassis to something in a new working great condition with all new features... then calling it a copy.
ThorOfAsgard I'm not talking about the headset firmware, SDK is part of the app.

fenderwq I tried downloading deovr straight to my quest 3 headset and yep it worked with none of the lines or low fps and it was seeking much faster too (even faster than deovr on PC seeked before it got screwed up, but still not as fast as heresphere on PC), However there is no way i would use it straight from the headset. For starters i couldnt use my headphones. Plus i really need to be able to see my desktop. And that doesnt bring up the fact that i couldnt watch videos saved to my computer in deovr.
sylvan Well will you look at that. I did this and downloaded the version from november 2023 and it is working...for the most part. The frame rate is back to normal, the seek time is normal (still sucks), the jittery lines are gone. The only problem is it isnt letting me set/use most of the keys on my controller. It shows the windows mixed reality controllers. But other than that it works. I should have known this because i used to do downgrades to beatsaber when it would mess up my custom songs, but not in this exact way. I wish the devs would have told me this in january that a user was able to figure out. Cant downgrade? Just did... What a waste of time and they're so useless. If you cant figure things out in a reasonable time frame then give us temporary fixes like this USER just gave me.
