rerun119 Ever since DeoVR started doing the AI PT thing I have rarely used Heresphere or visited the other sites I have prescriptions to (I use Heresphere for every other site). When Heresphere gets AI VR down I'll have to take a week off of work to catch up. Until Heresphere can do AI VR, it will collect digital dust on my headset.

doublevr Saying that heresphere is a copy of deovr is not even close to true. Heresphere has always been superior in so many ways. The most profound difference is herespheres seek time which is insanely faster and the biggest benefit to me. On top of that deovrs update in december 2023 screwed it up and it plays like trash and you guys have failed to fix it nearly a year later. I was on another thread about this for months and gave up. My sub ends in a few days and i wont be resubbing both because deovr runs like trash, and because you guys for nearly a year have still not fixed it. You wouldnt even give us the version prior to december that worked, which is ridiculous, especially considering you have a nearly unusable product. Aside from downloading the titles (which are limited to 30 per 6 days which is far far below other VR sites) to watch in the superior heresphere platform they have to be watched in deovr which runs like trash (both streaming and locally). Heresphere has no problem playing any VR video at 90fps with 40% gpu usage of my 4070ti super. Deovr uses 99% and gives me 30fps and has vertical lines when there is movement. Trash....for 9 months.

That's not an option. DeoVR is not just a local files player.
There are lots of new features integrated.
We should fix the issue, not rollback.

I would appreciate your help sharing with us more technical details that could help.

ThorOfAsgard The app isn't well optimized and the web player on the site performs even worse. I guess that's what happens when they focus all their attention on adding new things while neglecting the core playback experience.

iddqd Only a couple days left on my sub. But can you answer this? How is it that it is effectively a guarantee that whatever you changed happened in the early december 2023 update (happened within a weeks time since my last use until the deovr update and it went to crap right after that update...so that is what did it) and you cant figure out what you changed that screwed things up? Id think thats pretty simple to figure out as it was 1 update that did it. And in testing roll back to the prior update and see that it works.

I know what changes caused this issue - Meta/Oculus SDK updates and many other things that are part of the app.
It is impossible and makes no sense reverting these as this.

Why don't you use native Q3 app if you have Q3?

for me too the version of deo since December 2023 lag; so I use an old version of deo. I specify that I do not have a quest (I ordered one then returned it because it is complicated when using a pc), but reverb g2

PS I mainly use heresphere because "sharp" works well (I put it at maximum) which allows that the videos often too blurry for my taste become sharper, the faces have a more marked character what; with deo: "sharp" does not work well: it does not give the precision of "sharp" of heresphere; I do not know why but it is like that; the difference of sharpness with heresphere and sharp is obvious: because when I open a video it takes a few seconds before "sharp" acts: and we see the difference

I can't use the steam version with my Pimax either. The setting menu starts glitching and skipping all over the place. Then the longer you use it the worse the video plays. I truly can not use it anymore at all. Hepesphere works like a champ with everything, always.
I don't understand just saying we are better than they are. Just because you say it doesn't convince me of anything.
I don't see people saying Playa app is better than DEO or Whirigig is better than DEO because they aren't. Hereshpere is better than all others imo. So go copy what he does and make it better than the one guy. That is how all business works. If he did copy something from you guys then that is great for us users. Don't just say you are better, become better then you won't have to say anything

Yeah the seek speed on heresphere is really good. BTW, seeking in deovr quest is much faster then deovr steam for some reason.

iddqd No this is untrue because the problem started immediately after the early mid december update to deovr. I also had used deovr less than a week prior and it was working at that time and there was no quest update in between. This was 100% that deovr update and you guys are ignoring what im telling you. This was before any quest update. I was using quest 2 at the time, im now using quest 3.

I dont really use any native quest programs. Mostly all PC. I like having access to everything on the PC.

doublevr I dont know about what code is inside it that would make you call it a copy, but from a user experience all that matters is it seeks literally 20 times faster than deovr and it has a crapload more features, hotkeys and so much more. Its telling that instead of improving your product to the level of HS which is far better you just say its a copy.
