All these additional features sounds great, can’t wait to try it. When will it be available?

    Sweet. Just FYI, the recenter function in the Quest version of DeoVR is not working correctly if you have any control over that. That's been what's keeping me from using passthrough on my Quests. I go back to Odyssey+/WMR because I use that recenter function for almost every video. But thanks for continuing to work on the app!

    Quest version of DeoVR 13.1 seems to be the last working version for recenter from my tests. It's possible 13.2 works. I just know the last three versions, recenter is not working correctly. Just turn your head away and hit recenter, and the video is all warped/distorted, rather than recentering the view.

      djham mine works like it's normally been.

      you know you can hold the two trigger buttons at the same time and move the picture? Like sky box.

        spacepirate Luckily this is a prototype, we have another layer (the devs) to play grammar Adolf which know how to write Passthrough.

        djham Hey we are aware of this, you are probably using zoom right? It should be fixed in one of next releases. Please use Quest recenter for now, by holding the quest button on controller.

          Example, say I'm watching a laying cg pt
          And I play another video and pt one of them hottie smoker models sitting to side of me looking like she watching me in pt cg. 😏...might work

          And, one time I opened a picture and was able to use the settings on it but after that I never could open a picture again...🙁

          I'm asking cus I been watching sum qp videos, they be putting objects in there environment, I thought wow, be cool every time u put ur headset on by default ur room set up with these objects, and of course I thought of that picture, could pose a model there too.

          The qp works on 2d videos too, so instead of pictures I also though gifs would work too, badoinkvr makes lots of pictures with their models posed in front of plain white backgrounds, thats where i used a picture, easily could make gifs of models doing a Lil strip teas or what ever. And pose em in ur environment. By default your room set up with what ever u want. 😉👍🥂

          Been trying to view pics and gifs with the options but nothing happens, might be good idea yall start producing high quality gifs and pics with plain white backgrounds to be viewed with the pt options to be used with ar apps. 🤔

          Looking good! Also a much improved UX I would say. Some suggestions:

          • Make sure the color icons stay visible when moving the range sliders so you only see the color swatch and the background. This makes selecting a color much easier.
          • Sometimes it helps to be able to adjust the settings when passthrough is off. For instance to see if the color you selected is actually the same color as the background. Maybe there is a better way to show that the passthrough is active/ inactive without disabling the controls?
          • The plus and min icons in the range and falloff sliders more often than not block slide input (as the setting is often in the extremes). If find this pretty annoying as you'll have to click more in the middle of the bar and then move back to the plus or minus icon to make an adjustment. This makes making small adjustments very difficult. Maybe you could block the plus/ minus click listeners if its a long press/ "grab"? Even better might be to be able to use a thumbstick to adjust the sliders more precisely when you hover over one. So you can make small nudges that way.
          • I would argue that it would be nice to be able to enable passthrough for people that do not have a MR device so they can remove green screens. Maybe even allow for uploading a custom static background?

            fenderwq can I ask how long you mess with settings to get a good pass-through, cuz your details sound like it coming from a dedicated user who's very familiar of the options at hand.

            Version 13.5 I mess with it like 10 15 minutes and gave up, then again after a few suggestions but like 5 minutes of fiddling I said...nope

            New version works but 13.3 got u in pt quick

            Was just curious how long it takes you to find a decent enough pt. If don't mind me asking.

              Vrsumo2017 Only recently got a Pico 4 (after 13.3), did use it a few times on my old valve index though. However, at the moment I only find that the green screen scenes work well enough to be truly enjoyable (turned some movies into greenscreen versions with AI for this reason, which work pretty well).
              Setting the green screens up takes me about 1/2 minutes (if you don't know the settings for the particular shade of green used in the background). I did try to dial in quite a few other movies without a greenscreen but after quite a lot of trying I just couldn't get something I felt was good enough.
              As for the app, I think it's just something that needs some time to evolve. Looking at all the cool things the SLR devs are experimenting with and sharing on the forum I think it will soon be a much better experience.

              Vrsumo2017 It's happening for me on both Quest 2 and Quest Pro. Sandi_SLR says the issue happens when using zoom, which I always do. So looks like they will fix it it soon. Nice!

              spacepirate dude it’s a hi-fi mock up. Not a polished release. Maybe be happy you are getting to see what the UX for new features and functionality are before it’s released and that we all are allowed to provide insight into the process.

              Although if you want your only contribution to be a petty spelling error on a resource string that goes through multiple iterations by tech writing/localization before release then so be it…I guess.

                fyi i dont care about seeing upcoming changes to the app. i dont use the app. and thats partly because its clunky and not polished.

                is deovr quest version different to pico 4 version right now ?

                i would like to see options like move the picture at any position and so that it stays at that position even then when i move around in my room...

                right now this not possible to do with deovr at pico 4 and the settings with position are very limited...=/

                if i want move around in my room then the picture or ar/vr even flat clips in passthrough follows the headset and this just ruins everything...

                this just sucks.

                why not add just such simple setting where user can move and resize clip or picture at any size and distance ? so that it stays at that position and size and distance ?

                even apps like styly or openbrush has this option and works even with clips...

                i tried to turn on 6dof and after grab the clip but it says: turn off 6dof if want grab the clip and change position...
                why can't grab and move the clip while 6dof is on ?
                this something i can't too understand...

                but even without 6dof its impossible or very hard to move the clip at some postion...
                the clip still moves with the head movements and headset when placed somewhere in room...
                like i can't go close to the clip and watch from closer distance...impossible...

                very very sad that deovr can't make just simple uncomplicated setting where user can just grab and resize, move, postion like he wish and want.

                this is unity tutorial sample for ar and quest with some objects where you can grab and move around and resize, rotate, scale as you wish and like...

                very simple thing.

                i know that this probably harder to do with vr 180 sbs clips but i would already like if that work with flat clips or just pictures and in passthrough mode...

                  dudu32 the only thing similar to what you're asking for on deo app is holding both triggers at the same time and you can move the picture up, down, side to side, and set your joy stick for zooming "pitch"...this how it works on q2

                  Also press and hold the home button recenters the picture...

                  Like example if the models are off center during laying cg I'll just turn my head a Lil and press and hold home button.

                  Say I'm watching a laying cg and it goes into a doggy, well if get up into position I just hold the home button and it recenters.

                  That's the only thing I can think of what your asking. Hope that helps.

                    i would like to put some flat greenscreen clip or picture somewhere in my room and if i move closer to the clip then it should stick to that position without moving and following with the headset...

                    its possible to move objects or the player closer to you with joy stick but its impossible to place the object somewhere and move closer to the object with headset by walking closer to the object or player...

                    that what i mean and what deovr can't do...^^

                    my english very bad to explain this all but i think you understand and the examples show exactly what i mean...

                    when the guy in example moves closer to the obejct then the object stays in his position and don't moves with headset movements.
                    you can watch the objects from closer or far distance by walking...
