Pico 4 users, how the pico 4 doing for yall sofar since yall got it?

I'm particularly interested in the pass-through mode with "The PornaVRse🌌

I'm thinking about buying the pico 4, from what I've heard, the fov is as good or better than the Index if you remove the face pad. An aftermath face pad is going to take this headset to the next level.

Anyone know if passthrough works with pc link? I know for the quest 2, the option is there but it doesn't do anything....

    alibaba I have both an index and a pico 4. Index fov is definitely better even with the absolute minimum of eye relief on the pico. It's fine though especially for the price.

        alibaba yes, did quite a bit of experimenting (even measured it in test hmd) and the fov can be improved quite a bit. Just not to index levels.

          is it possible to turn the color passthrough of pico 4 into black-white filter ?

          there must be probably a way to change color of pico 4 passthrough and like put an filter on ?

          i think same already exist for quest 2 but i don't saw something similar for pico 4 where i can change color of passthrough...

          needs this to be done in unity ? if yes...someone know how ? can give tutorial ?

            It's not weird G, I thought about that while haf in q2, cuz I like to put effects like color and sharpen alot, i call it "remixing on the fly" wish deo had sum effectts to add, like echo, and a automatic hue color changing, but in pass-through the Grey background adds an effect too, so I thought fuc, a color pass-through just gonna be regular color in the new head sets but it would be cool it has filter options, options like color filters and effects, make your environment wobbly or blurry like a drunk effect. 🥴

            But yeah, color filters would be cool. 👍

              probably it's possible now to do virtamate in passthrough on pico 4 but sadly i don't find any example clips which shows it...and on virtamate forums no one talk about this...=/

                    picos 4 passthrough is not the best but it is way better than the black-white ^^

                    you gonna do nothing wrong when go for the pico 4 and soon there will be even more better passthrough for consumers and good price probably..

                    i just tried virtamate in passthrough mode and it is not bad.

                    with ALVR or ALXR you can now go passthrough on pico 4 and i already experiment with flat porn and that works good too...

                    there 2 blend modes which you can active by press hold left menu button + press A or B.
                    after get some clip, image or start app like virtamate with black background...

                    rly easy and simple to use.

                    its a shame that app like virtual desktop still can't do this...
                    i always wish to use virtual desktop in passthrough (even then when still had quest 2) but it looks like that never gonna happen.

                          you can try this even with quest 2...

                          this blend modes are like deovr with black box clips where all the black background gets cut out when in passthrough.

                          and after you can like move, scale the steamvr desktop screen anywhere or very close to you...
                          this way you can watch some pov clips and experiment with other flat screen porns...^^

                          or with apps like virtamate where black background is already by default. =)
