It's got sum glare, but that glare not as noticeable in games or vrp videos
No lens rings but it is clearer
Still got sweet spot but it's bigger
Fov is bigger then q2, I noticed during laying cg a model would fit from head to torso in the lens, just depends on body movements.

Battery in back? Humm, I've always been a strap guy, i started with gearvr, im gonna have to get use to battery in back, with a strap it's just more comfortable laying and moving your head up wards to look up at faces during face to face cg, with battery in the back trying to do that the battery gets pushed up sum and the front gets push down , strap better for vrp imo, I always looked at them battery packs users had and thought "ah hell naw that can't be good for laying vrp, I was right...but still just gotta get use to it I guess. , if I wanna look up at close up face cg I gotta pick my head off the pillow look up then lay it back down, gotta maneuver different with the battery pack behind head.

Color pass through for pt options?
I normally use a lamp in my room so my room not so bright, so the pt on pico looks like q2 pass-through but just with color, it not clear, I turn my room light on it makes it more clear with more light, but in pt like that...Idk, I was kinda disappointed how it looked, with more light on I think i enjoyed the green screen video with bed in how it was in
ASMR Closeup, Personal Attention from Xxlayna scene, but then I went back in forth with q2 and pico looking at few pt videos. And turnt my room light off and just used the lamp and pt looks better with dimmer light in pico, still fuzzy like q2 but with color, lol it actually looks like how gearvr looked if you used the camera. So over all im cool with the pico pt. I almost hated it and thought I'd prefer the black n Grey pt, but I enjoyed black and Grey, its not awful or trash how sum users describe it for pt. Smh

I was hoping to use a color light and blend the models to look like a color I use but if I put my bluetooth bulb to a color the pico would do the room to dark thing, And the lower the room color/brightness the fuzzier the pt looked, so using a color light didnt work out good

Face guard comfortable then q2 default face guard but after a while it started feeling like it resting on my nose , q2 I have vrcover fg and its fine, pluse with a soft cushion it's way comfortable, so I might have to buy a fc for pico.

Setting it up was easy, deo vr works good
But if i turnt off tracking the pt options didn't work at all in deo, hopefully that's something slr can fix @doublevr ????

In q2 I turn off guardian cus its more convenient to move around and recenter the models where ever i want to in my environment. So hopefully that gets fixed in pico.

Weight wise
Feel lighter on the face then q2, but holding them both in hands pico feels heavier to me imo, the q2 since I just have a strap it's more convenient to just grab off my head and place down on my dresser, with the pico I have to like place it down gently or toss it on my bed after taking it off as im laying, strap better imo. Q3 suppose to have strap

Is it worth the money. Sure
Is worth getting now if you have a q2 but want color pt, I'd say nah, if you can't wait and you just want color pt yeah grab you one, that's the only reason I grab one to see color pt, I was gonna wait but q3 might not be out till like October, so I just thought fuck a lot can happen in 8 months these days.

But who knows, in month from now I might say pico4 is great, when I switched to q2 from the gearvr I wasn't to impressed with the q2, took months to find a good comfort level how i had with gearvr.

I'd give pico4 an 8, with out the battery in the back I would of gave it a 9

But ffs if quest pro works the same as pico 4, 1500$ or 1000$ is not worth it if u just want it for color pt, if it weren't for color pt I'd be fine with q2 for vrp, hell I was fine with gearvr just for vrp till they updated my s10 phone.

Even if you think you want clearer lenses for vrp, your fine with the q2. Pico looks clear but I wouldnt purchase it if I think it was gonna be more clearer then the q2.

When I went from the gear to q2 I wasn't to impressed with the picture, the lens rings was a step down from the gearvr with s10 imo and could play 6khd on the gear with s10 but I was fine with 4ks.

Pico4 got recline mode how gearvr had.
If your laying you can move the hole screen where you need it, I was driving a car laying down, supposedly quest adding this feature in sum new update.

But putting reclining mode on in pico causes the pt in deo not to work.

Oh, I remember, in pt in pico I can read my phone, it's not super clear but I can see text.

ndndnd182 it's noticeably clearer then the gearvr, there really no screen door effect at all, but you still see sum glares but in vrp videos it's not there, it mostly at menus.

The battery in the back is a - for me, if you enjoy how you been with the strap with the gearvr you might not like it either. This my first headset with a battery in the back so it's gonna take time to get use to. The quest 3 suppose to have a strap so I'm definitely gonna buy that later when it come out. The pico kinda feels like the same weight as the gearvr but with a battery in back of your head.

On the immerse side with vrp, man I had gearvr for about 4 years, I had a s7 then s10, the s7 was good, but s10 was a better picture with way less screen door, and I had plenty of fun with that. It was light weight, and lasted way longer then 2 hours like these headsets, the headsets you can plug them in if you got a cord next to your bed if you need it, but immersed more in pico from a gearvr imo it's the same G, it's a better picture sure but the battery in the back when your laying and you wanna move your up to look at face to face cg your reminded you have a battery, kinda sucks imo, sum users say it's not a problem but idk I don't get it, ima have to get use to it, if I decide to keep it.

If I had a my gearvr still and someone gave me pico for free I'd use it, but sell it to me for the price? Nah I'm be good with gearvr if I'm just using it for vrp. With sky box vr and my many files on my computer to stream to the gearvr was the shit.

But the good thing about upgrading to a quest 2 or pico 4 is more sites are streamable on deo, so your able to check out more trailers on many vrsites .

Honestly I'd wait for quest 3 with a strap if your just using it for vrp, the games are cool, way better then gearvr, I'm not a gamer but I' be using creed boxing game for sum exercise. Cool game. Other games are cool I kinda get over them quick.

Kinda miss my gearvr, was so much simpler, snap the phone in and fap away.

You'll definitely be upgrading in quality and more options if you go with a pico 4 or q2 or a q3, but like I say ima strap guy so the battery in the back is a - for me, if it weren't for me wanting color pass through I'd be fine a gearvr or the quest 2 I use now.

But you should upgrade eventually, I'd wait for the quest 3 just cuz its suppose to have a strap. , picture quality might be same as or Lil better then the pico 4, quest 2 has these rings on the lenses that are noticeable and I hated that shit when upgrading from the gearvr, I was like this what yall been praising and hyped about my gearvr s10 looked better then this shit. , after a while I just got use to it

Quest 2 has this sweet spot that gearvr never had. For media/vrp viewing gearvr was great

Honestly when I had gearvr with s10, and then quest 2 came out and evey one said how good it was I felt like I was missing out but once I got the q2 I wasn't to impressed visual wise, but the more options like watching more trailers on more vr sites with deovr was a pluse.

Pico 4 good, but the battery in back I don't like, if it had a strap I would recommend it but since I know you been on the strap like I've been it possible you might like it either. Kinda sucks in laying down position, and that's how i mostly watch vrp.

I figured it out, I have to turn off "play boundry" off in order for it to work like quest 2 does with guardian off.

Play boundary can be found in developers mode, which can be found by clicking on "software version" 7 times. Also that's where you find hand tracking

It's not extremely big, it's usable for my pt fetish tho. , plus with color defiantly better then black and white.

Fov extremely bigger on pico 4, lens are supper clear, sum glare but not noticeable in games or video. But putting on the q2 after a few days on pico 4 the size of the q2 lens were laughable, smh, still good enough fov on q2 tho.

I saw one reviewer say the pico 4 not as bright as quest 2 but shit I have to turn the brightness down and it still looks good.

Only thing I get annoyed by is the battery in the back, I've always used a strap so that's gotta get sum use to for now.

On pico 4, I noticed the brightness adjustment also determines how bright the passthrough is, wonder if they could add contrast and sharpness for options for the passthrough.

Quest 2 the same way, in the accessibility options it has contrast for the headset if you move it around you can see it effects the passthrough as well.

Gotta be possible to add. Hue, contrast, saturation and sharpness.

Be cool add sum color filtering to your environment and adjust the deo coloring for models to match your color. Be great while haf

Be cool you could add shade to the models, like I have my lamp faced toward my viewing area. Adding shade I could add sum to make it look like the light reflecting off the model. Like nior vr videos
