Welp, I got pico!

It's got sum glare, but that glare not as noticeable in games or vrp videos
No lens rings but it is clearer
Still got sweet spot but it's bigger
Fov is bigger then q2, I noticed during laying cg a model would fit from head to torso in the lens, just depends on body movements.
Battery in back? Humm, I've always been a strap guy, i started with gearvr, im gonna have to get use to battery in back, with a strap it's just more comfortable laying and moving your head up wards to look up at faces during face to face cg, with battery in the back trying to do that the battery gets pushed up sum and the front gets push down 😒, strap better for vrp imo, I always looked at them battery packs users had and thought "ah hell naw that can't be good for laying vrp, I was right...but still just gotta get use to it I guess. 🤷♂️, if I wanna look up at close up face cg I gotta pick my head off the pillow look up then lay it back down, gotta maneuver different with the battery pack behind head.
Color pass through for pt options?
I normally use a lamp in my room so my room not so bright, so the pt on pico looks like q2 pass-through but just with color, it not clear, I turn my room light on it makes it more clear with more light, but in pt like that...Idk, I was kinda disappointed how it looked, with more light on I think i enjoyed the green screen video with bed in how it was in
ASMR Closeup, Personal Attention from Xxlayna scene, but then I went back in forth with q2 and pico looking at few pt videos. And turnt my room light off and just used the lamp and pt looks better with dimmer light in pico, still fuzzy like q2 but with color, lol it actually looks like how gearvr looked if you used the camera. So over all im cool with the pico pt. I almost hated it and thought I'd prefer the black n Grey pt, but I enjoyed black and Grey, its not awful or trash how sum users describe it for pt. Smh
I was hoping to use a color light and blend the models to look like a color I use but if I put my bluetooth bulb to a color the pico would do the room to dark thing, And the lower the room color/brightness the fuzzier the pt looked, so using a color light didnt work out good 🤷♂️🤦♂️ 👎
Face guard comfortable then q2 default face guard but after a while it started feeling like it resting on my nose 👃, q2 I have vrcover fg and its fine, pluse with a soft cushion it's way comfortable, so I might have to buy a fc for pico.
Setting it up was easy, deo vr works good 👍
But if i turnt off tracking the pt options didn't work at all in deo, hopefully that's something slr can fix @doublevr ????
In q2 I turn off guardian cus its more convenient to move around and recenter the models where ever i want to in my environment. So hopefully that gets fixed in pico.
Weight wise
Feel lighter on the face then q2, but holding them both in hands pico feels heavier to me imo, the q2 since I just have a strap it's more convenient to just grab off my head and place down on my dresser, with the pico I have to like place it down gently or toss it on my bed after taking it off as im laying, strap better imo. Q3 suppose to have strap 👍
Is it worth the money. Sure
Is worth getting now if you have a q2 but want color pt, I'd say 🤔 nah, if you can't wait and you just want color pt yeah grab you one, that's the only reason I grab one to see color pt, I was gonna wait but q3 might not be out till like October, so I just thought fuck a lot can happen in 8 months these days. 🤔
But who knows, in month from now I might say pico4 is great, when I switched to q2 from the gearvr I wasn't to impressed with the q2, took months to find a good comfort level how i had with gearvr.
I'd give pico4 an 8, with out the battery in the back I would of gave it a 9 🤷♂️
But ffs if quest pro works the same as pico 4, 1500$ or 1000$ is not worth it if u just want it for color pt, if it weren't for color pt I'd be fine with q2 for vrp, hell I was fine with gearvr just for vrp till they updated my s10 phone.
Even if you think you want clearer lenses for vrp, your fine with the q2. Pico looks clear but I wouldnt purchase it if I think it was gonna be more clearer then the q2.
When I went from the gear to q2 I wasn't to impressed with the picture, the lens rings was a step down from the gearvr with s10 imo 🤷♂️ and could play 6khd on the gear with s10 but I was fine with 4ks.
Pico4 got recline mode how gearvr had.
If your laying you can move the hole screen where you need it, I was driving a car laying down, supposedly quest adding this feature in sum new update.
But putting reclining mode on in pico causes the pt in deo not to work.

Oh, I remember, in pt in pico I can read my phone, it's not super clear but I can see text. 🤷♂️
