I would much rather you just film the woman for 10-15 mins standing, talking, dancing, or moving in some way. Stable camera full frontal nudity is HARD to find in VR, which is insane
What if we start shooting some 10-15min Non-POV for each scene?
dradical hard to believe, but true. More difficult to get amazing views of the female body when every video simply shows the same 4-5 sec positions.
I think the only no pov i would like to see if when they are in squatted cowgirl or standing cowgirl, like on the jacknjill videos. Other than that, i would rather the rest in POV. Maybe standing doggy when they have their legs together, i cant stand when they do that in POV, there is nothing attractive about it. That might look better in voyeur.
I don't mind some initial non-POV at the start of scenes to set up the storyline, but the back and forth and back and forth from non-POV to POV just takes me out of the immersion.
Sounds like a great idea. Would love to see on all videos
samuraiibob oh god no please dont take pov cowgirl from me its one of the last things I have
if a big tit video finally comes out and the cowgirl scene isnt POV, Ill be back

ItsForTheArticles I don't mind some initial non-POV at the start of scenes to set up the storyline
Me either but it breaks their "immersion" so it would have to be separate from the scene, it would have to be bonus clips. I hope they start doing this I really thought they would do it, they should...it's content
Real jam vrhush film bts non pov but in 2d, I want it in vr.
ItsForTheArticles I don't mind some initial non-POV at the start of scenes to set up the storyline
What about if they leave it in POV but the guy (being me) talks at the beginning to make a better story? Like TabooVRPorn does.
Do you think that would turn a lot of people off? It doesn't for me.
rerun119 its just that pov doesnt do it for everyone. I cant bear it, its dull and constantly retreads the same ground(in my opinion), I dont think should mix it up though, keep it pov, and either set up another rig to shoot non pov at the same time, or make a non pov scene once a month. The film makers need to get their thinking caps on and deal with it. its wrong to ignore a section of the customer base, even if they are a minority. vr porn will remain niche and devoid of creativity while ever pov is the bulk of the conent.

chanser I absolutely agree even though I am firmly in the POV fan camp. Often these types of discussions devolve because its more a disagreement about degree or amount than true objection to forays into alternative paradigms. I don't like non-pov or actor voice in my mainstream VR porn, but, as long as its just an occasional thing, I can fast-forward or skip. This gives options to those who do like non-VR/etc.
And one additional point I'd like to highlight: when you do something that "ruins" a scene for a group of viewers, there are often alternatives out there for those viewers to switch to. However, when the scene involves a "one-and-done" actress or a unique "never-before-never-again" scenario, then there are no truly equivalent alternates. I was thinking about this from my perspective (POV, non-PT), but its also true that there are people out there that will never get a chance to see their "optimum" scene--whether thats a favorite actress in PT or a niche scenario like a non-POV lesbian harem orgy.
I think a solution will be to generally follow the numbers of statistical popularity while also reserving a small percentage of scenes for experimentation and niche content.
fuccaneer good post/reply, thank you. there is room for us all within this community, and of course supply and demand will dictate the type of content produced in general, you're absolutely right. your suggestion around a small percentage being reserved for more niche content would be welcomed, certainly by me. i go for solo and lesbian passthrough and non pov, in that order. i never watch pov scenes.

Setup male talking wouldn't kill it for me, but even better would be enough creativity in the script to not require male talking.

Vrsumo2017 bts non pov but in 2d, I want it in vr.
Found a minute of bts for you (from 14:36). The girl (in character): What if you take me in missionary? Then the director cuts in: Nah, we don't have enough time! Then the girl's getting a little stressed by all the stage directions that follow but both the director and male performer turn out to be the nicest guys you can imagine. The End.

The real answer to this question is that almost any scene / method can be good if done well.
Get a hot model and try it out.

SchnuppiLilac lol awesome
Did they forget to cut that out?
I wish we could get random uploads of bts, I bet they have all kinds of content not uploaded.
Bonus clips!
I think the more variety you have the better chance to get more people into VR in general. I get that the majority prefer POV but there are literally 1000's upon 1000's of scenes of that. Does that contingent really need every scene to be that? I personally prefer well-shot nonPOV over POV and there is a very limited amount of quality scenes in that genre, and gets repetitive with the same ones, whereas the POV camp probably has a nearly endless supply of vids they'll probably never get around to watching half of them.
Would surely like to see some quality nonPOV content, and more of a variety in general and while there are a few doing it, more vids feat gangbangs like legalporno, blowbangs, BBC or BWC series like the old-school original monsters of cock scenes, interracial in general has very few scenes, mature and teen... there are plenty of genres besides white on white POV that are lacking any substantial number of scenes, and a lot of the ones that do tap into these other varieties alot of time are of poor quality or bad camera placement.
I think building such a large library of pov content is a serious mistake. Anyone remember when flat pov porn was a fad 10-15 years ago? it is still a popular niche, but doesn't even make the top 20 of search terms now. There's actually not really any reason for vr porn to be forced into the pov niche. it's still just a video, not a simulator. You are not there, you do not influence the contents of the video. It's the same as normal porn but with depth and a big fov.
The content is being over-tailored for an audience that barely exists yet. For example, the fixed angle used in the majority of videos can be quite boring. With non-pov, you can at least potentially get a new angle once per video, but you still usually have to watch the entire video from a single angle. The reason given is that moving the camera may cause motion sickness. Some move the camera extremely slowly and infrequently. The problem with tailoring ALL the content in this way, is it's ignorant to the fact that the majority of VR users no longer get motion-sick after an acclimation period of regular use (perhaps a month). VR game developers also discovered that adding a vignette shader (radius of effect is tied to the speed of the motion) greatly reduces the issue for new players. Despite this I can only assume that the limited angles are a result of the idea that motion=motion-sickness. Ideas like this aren't helpful when they're so unsophisticated and act as anchors for decision making.
I only make these points because slr is even slightly behind it's main competitor (if their affiliate sites are to be trusted) in the number of non-pov videos due to it's treatment of what should not even be a category as a niche. Slr seems to only be taking these decisions off of user feedback instead of combining it with analysis, which would show that a VR site producing and/or licensing 90% pov videos is falling into an obvious trap that will hinder it's future success.
Non pov can be fun sometimes and I agree there is not a lot. Especially in the non standard niches. I definitely prefer pov most of the time though and I think most people do as vr is much more of a first person medium and very diffent from flat. You get things like the proximity effect, can trick your brain it's happening to you etc.
What I definitely don't like is mixing the two together in one video. Seen some of those lately and that just doesn't work for me.
uioz Flat POV and VR POV aren't exactly comparable. VR is a different medium and it's much more suited to POV.
I think almost everyone that was realllly into flat pov has now moved into VR, so they wouldn't really be searching for flat pov anymore.
I think we should start letting the male talk during the intro to set up the story, it's probably less immersion breaking than the awkward hand waving conversations we are using right now
