With out going threw all the slro videos, what all scenes were filmed with the cannon 8k?
ableman I think a lot of the difficulty is that the wide field of view makes it difficult to place lights anywhere but from behind the camera so the contrast always appears flat due to direct light from the front. Getting natural looking lighting from the sides or from practical sources I believe would help with contrast.

LordCrash not true at all. If that was the case, I’d never have joined SLR in the first place as they have virtually none. It’s something I’d like to see more of sure, just as there’s things I know you’d like to see more of. I’m curious though why you consider all those other sites boring and SLRO not? It’s all the same vanilla type content, it’s just they all make consistently decent looking scenes.

SLRO at least do scene with multiple girls regularly and with their often lengthy shoots they really cover some amazing content on film with lots of intimacy well done build up. Nothing feels rushed or cookie cutter imho. Just take the latest scene with Octavia, it has like 10 or 15 minutes blowjob action but slow and intimate, takes it time. It doesn't feel like somebody put that segment in in order to fulfil a checklist. SLRO often feels like a carefully staged and well executed production that just does the right things at the right time while most other sites do porn by numbers most of the times. CzechVR is imho the only other site that manages to stage intimate and highly arousing VR porn on a regular basis with everyone involved bringing their absolute A game. You know, there are a lot of scenes with decent angles and beautiful girls but way too often that's about it. Decent but also pretty boring.
LordCrash fair enough. I can agree with a lot of that. I just don’t think they’re very good technically at filming it.
They’ve always had issues for me with scaling, and with the camera being too close even before the current farcical situation where they raced ahead and filmed a ton of scenes with a camera they didn’t know how to use. Also don’t get me started on their consistent failure to include doggy style and how bad it looks when they bother to try.
I like the lengthier scenes, multiple girls and intimacy of SLRO, I just wish it was married with a better crew/director to do it justice.
The FM DUO looks good with 8k
Any studios using this cam, it's looks like a camera I've seen in bts videos from another studio, can't remember what studio.

I found this video on YouTube this guy showing off a Canon 8k, comparing visuals...
Out the box in default mode the cam looks good
Then shows the camera in a setting called c-log 3 cinema gamut, and that looks like the filter I hate to see in vrp, looks movie-ish, like the contrast is to low and colors don't pop. Can't stand that filter...
But anyways, I was thinking if it's the same canon yall using rest it to default mode. Just a thought

As vr porn viwers do really need fish eye?
I mean what does fish eye really do?
If we're looking straight most the time do we need an extra if not that much more then 180 view on the sides, so many vr studios shoot with no fisheye and never have I seen a demand or request for them to shot fisheye. So is fisheye that important or in demand for vr porn? 
Naught America use to shoot fish eye and they stopped long time ago. When I first started watching vrp I always wondered why they had cone heads, I was like this can't be right maybe they messed it up, wasn't till later I learned about fisheye here on slr.

C-log is not a filter. It’s a setting used in filming that allows you to capture more dynamic range. Most beneficial in tricky lighting conditions where there’s lots of shadows and bright highlights in the same shot.
It isn’t meant to be used straight from the camera . Like you said, it looks very flat and dull. You need to do color grading in post to bring back the contrast and color saturation before exporting the final product.
C-log by itself probably isn’t responsible for the look of some of the videos you don’t like. It’s just a tool videographers use when filming.

Which is blatantly obvious not even knowing what C-Log is.
Actually C-Log is way closer to what the camera sees in reality, and the standard mode is kinda what you call a filter to boost contrast/saturation.
C-Log kinda is a substitute for RAW for videos, as most cameras even today can not handle true RAW when shooting videos, unlike what you do in photos. It is not meant to use C-Log for final videos, but as an input for the postprocessing pipeline to preserve as much information as possible from the actual scene without having actual RAW.
The "standard" mode that you love so much looses a lot of DR and possibly also color accuracy while giving you this "pleasing to the eye" view.
And frankly all VR videos of today show terrible DR when they shoot even a somewhat demanding scene with some outdoor content visible, and only very controlled lighting in studios can give DR in check that it looks good.
So if they are not shooting C-Log (or something similar) it would be very welcome to do so and get a proper tonemapping in post. Maybe they are and current cameras are simply not capable of shooting such high DR, although hard to believe when I see what even my tiny RX100 can do when shooting LOG.

If that's standard then give more of that! wasn't nothing wrong with it imo, picture looked very crisp, colors were great, scale was great/perfect. It's perfect! if there was any lose of anything due to it being standard then it was very unnoticeable, and that's the best I've seen Leana in vr out of all her vr scenes.

It would be nice to eventually get back to the 8k video. I was recently looking at some of the previous 6K videos on the zcam k2 which has more lifelike sizing but the visual quality was definitely not as good as the recent 8K which has much better visuals IMO but larger scaling. Using Pimax 8k x with 3080 ti on heresphere. Trade offs here I can see the pros and cons of each one. Too bad not everyone can be satisfied.
justanotherone Meta quest2 still occupy the market which is not that good to watch 8k .Not everyone can afford the high price of pimax8k and a highend computer...
