Perhaps this article (and its comments may illustrate the point better:

When I first subscribed to Netflix, it was more of an aggregator, in that it produced little of its own content but offered me one-stop shopping where I could stream most any content available. As time has gone on, thugh, they have less outside content available from GOOD sources, and more of their own original programming (which is quite good). In my opinion, they should focus their effort there, and stop trying to reel people in with sheer quantity. When I type the name of a movie in search, i don't want "movies like X", I want "MOVIE X".
My experience over time with SLR has been somewhat similar. When I first subbed (and I have maintained a sub for the whole time), SLR was a way to fight "subscription fatigue". I didn't want to pirate, but I also didn't want to sub to 10 different studios to get the content I wanted. SLR was a great option, because I could get content from all the MAJOR studios (albeit sometimes a week or two after release) under one subscription price. Adding SLR Originals was an absolute bonus, as well as scripts. Over time, though, it seems to follow the Netflix model: there are fewer new releases from major studios (or fewer major studios, period), and a whole lot of TadPoleXXX, PS_Porn, etc. Again, when I search for a particular porn star, I typically want to see some content she shot for a big studio with a modern rig. I don't want to see "movie like X" where the same actress shot some scene with some low-budget studio in 2016, and I certainly don't want to see a bunch of low-quality, out of focus, shot with a go-pro-on-a-stick stuff. I'd rather see SLR focus on many more originals than waste money on the amateurish stuff.
I'm sorry if the bait-and-switch comment was offensive. Obviously, I don't know what your long term business model, intentions, or plans are. However, even here, you are shooting yourself in the foot. My evaluation and general tone comes from watching that doublevr guy just absolutely crap on people in discussions. It is well documented that his response to suggestions or criticism is universally "Fuck off if you don't like it, we do what we want, and we don't want your business anyway." Additionally, he has made comments about wanting to be the "Netflix of porn" (see above for why that is a bad idea), and other actions such as attempting to deprecate DLNA and screwing up local script use really makes it seem as though the goal is to lock us into your eco-system and products, by force or coercion if necessary. All of which is a shame, because your technical innovation, originals, scripting, and most other customer-faced communication is top-notch.
I, for one, would be much happier if SLR released 3x as many originals and more scripts, and had far less random amateurs. One more metaphor? Don't end up like that one restaurant that makes the best burgers in town, but then thinks they have to compete with everyone and adds gyros, pho, chinese food, breakfast, pies, and borscht to their menu - all while the quality of their burgers decreases. You can't be all things to everyone.
