There is so much passion in this thread. I love it!
justsomedude101 i completely get it, when I hear an outspoken user attack my product it’s hard not to let emotions run over, but some friendly advice. Take a beat, you definitely are too laid back to let emotions boil over. They are not attacking you directly they feel passionate about the product. This forum should be a welcome space to voice that passion, listen to your users and find out if this is a minority opinion or a majority problem.
Less than 6 months ago there was a lot of passion behind users wanting to hide studios/videos, but it seems once SLR got over the passion, and dug into the business case it seemed there was a lot of desire and value there, now it’s being touted as a great new feature (referred to in this thread)
The real question I haven’t seen anyone ask in this thread is “why?” Why do you think “all” the content is low quality? Can you provide a few examples of studios that you feel produce low quality content, and maybe a couple studio you like the content from within or outside of SLR? Maybe a new partnership could solve this issue. Do you really feel it’s all content, or just a few bad apples you have recently seen? Is there something specific that makes you feel the content was low quality? Maybe some additional coaching on proper camera mounts with producers you partner with could solve the problem. (I just got motion sick from the new tadpoles scripts…that sucked) Is there a feature that would make your experience better (better search, better filters, better sorting, more categories to search for, etc.). Finally there are multiple threads going on recently about what makes the VR experience great, and what breaks the immersion for users, and underserved niches all coupled with useful metrics gathered from most watched videos and categories published to producers (potentially for a fee) could help them improve the flow of more and better content.
diwanga and withy its ok to have a complaint but you may get better responses if you follow that up with a recommendation, suggestion, or solution.
