I get why someone would be offended by sex scenes where a character is unconscious or forced to have sex. I still don't agree with censoring it unless the actress really was unconscious or forced. It's acting out a fantasy. On the other hand, I don't get "alcohol" at all. What does that have to do with consent? If I'm drunk, I can't consent to sex? Why? Christ, I would never have lost my virginity. Or do they mean exclusively if women are drunk, they can't consent? Isn't that sexist? Besides, most women I know can drink me under the table like Karen Allen with that sherpa in Raiders. Should we ban women from drinking in case they want to have sex after a couple of bacardis? It's nuts.
Some videos are being removed for compliance purposes
mebejoe Squirting is okay, but not pissing? Some serologists claim they are the same thing.
In the UK, squirting is generally equated with urination by our moral guardians. In theory, any video recording sold in the UK has to have a certificate (ratings are not optional as in the US) and all hardcore content goes under the R18 ('restricted adults only') rating, which can literally only be sold in sex shops / adult stores. You would not believe some of the things they demand to be cut, even now. Before about 2000, you literally could not show an erect penis, any kind of oral-genital contact, or any form of penetration. You know, all the good stuff. Urination during sex was and is a huge no-no and squirting was routinely equated with it as supposedly the censors, sorry, 'classifiers' thought that the fluid ejected during squirting is urine.
Of course, now that times have moved on and most people get their porn on the internet (and videos on the internet don't require certification, and/or are coming from outside the country), all content providers have to worry about in our glorious 'free' country is whether their content is legally 'indecent', which these days basically means hardcore BDSM, necro porn, bestiality and anything that even hints at anyone being underage. Or pretending to be. Or looking like they are. UK-based porn sites can and do get in trouble for borderline content when it's complained about, and there are grass-roots organisations of ultra-prudes like MediaWatch (which has just closed down - yay!) who make it their business to complain about any and all porn. Thus far, except for the odd foolish attempt to introduce compulsory age verification as a vote-winner, our politicians are largely turning a blind eye to mainstream porn. Which was a huge attitude shift, back in the day. So not rocking the boat and avoiding the edgier stuff is the order of the day over here.
And all of that is before you get into the commercial problems around running a porn site like the ones SLR is having here!

That's why Jesus gave us VPN technology...
mebejoe That said, given the market size of porn, you'd think there would be a huge profit in a credit card company that specializes in porn. It would cost a fortune to start up, of course.
That's why crypto was invented, to purchase guns, drugs and porn...
I wish the whole porn industry would just show the finger to the credit card industry and use their own crypto for exclusive payment. Should be a combined effort of all the big players in the industry, working together in order to fight that pseudo-politics anti-freedom puritan bullshit. I know that it will be a pain in the ass for many porn consumers to use crypto for the first time but that will pass. It's doable if people in the industry just had the courage and persistence to go for it...
LordCrash Not going to happen. Crypto is still extremely niche and porn subscriptions are very frequently the definition of an "impulse" purchase. Any friction added to the sales funnel will lead to a precipitous drop in conversions. Like it or not, the card networks are essential to any business, which means their rules need to be adhered to.
You may think that it is problematic that two private companies wield so much power over the rest of the world, and you would be correct, but this is something that can only be tackled via the legislature or the courts.

The world isn't just the US, it's much bigger. Only the Americans are 100% dependent on credit cards for whatever reason. At least that's what everybody says and apparently every American feels...
There are more options for such transactions though, not only credit cards or crypto. One example is "Paysafecard" which is a very simply system in which you buy a one-time disposable card in e.g. a gas stations or supermarkets for 50 or 100 bucks and then you can use it for whatever transaction you want on the internet as long as the vendors offers it - with the side benefit that the transaction is also completely anonymous...
And yes, such a shift away from credit cards would result in quite some friction and lost sales in the short run. But imho at some point the porn companies have to fight back instead of just swallowing any censorship that is pushed onto them by these fucking credit card companies. That's why I think it should be a joint effort of the big porn companies. Talking nicely to the banks doesn't help at all. You need to hit them where it hurts, their profits. If the whole porn industry turned their back on credit cards the banks would probably notice that in their books - and it might lead to them reconsidering their take on censorship and gatekeeping...
Alright this has gotta stop. This borderline censoring has been slowly eating away at things we enjoy. I call for all those who are willing to make a change, why can't we just build a new payment processing system which can be used by everyone and out of the radar of these mofos like mastercard and visa? Let them lose all their porn business in one shot. The corporate bastard share holders only respond to one thing. When they lose their precious money. They will bend their knees, but it would be too late by then.
Why can't we make it happen?
BungaBunga anything that even hints at anyone being underage. Or pretending to be. Or looking like they are.
This explains why "most" UK pornstars look like old hags
i finally uploaded those found files to the headset...work great. would have paid 50-100 for the clip, but only had to pay 20 bucks for a month of looking and downloading...only few hrs for the original hunt of it. i got off easy...there are a few more, but without actress names, it gets harder
i think i saw the royal flush clip...will have to download and upload to make sure it's the same thing and works
Is this what happened to czechvrfetish, or was that a contract thing? It's hard to find kinky vr content..

CVR Fetish scenes still exist (puhhh...), but not on SLR.

So gangbangs are not prohibited... Interesting... Maybe it's the time to spoil all of us who are craving for it
How about making US and international versions of scenes, very similar to how Legalporno is doing business?
You should "full" scenes with all the filthy content (like watersports) in it for the international (mostly European) customers and then you release a 2nd, cut version, for your US customers who apparently live in a new puritanical dystopia.
If Legalporno can do it you could do it as well.
czech fetish probably got big enough to open their own site...i did join it. they had a couple clips on slr when i started that were really good...the fisting was next level and really brought out the whole 3d thing to another level. luckily i bought the clips...a day later everything was pulled off. I did join czk fetish...lots and lots of potential...they almost go where they are supposed to go and even intimate, but fall short 99percent of the time. it fucking pisses me off with all these fucking producers...they have the girls, the scene...all just a few seconds away from making it decent....20seconds here and there is all people need, but they never get there....if they do? it's luck
so i am left scanning for lucky shots all the time.
i started working with a couple cam couples and we were getting there, but life and politics get in the way....like that PH crap
czk fetish easily has 10 great clips....so worth it for a month...definitely not a place to stay month in month out...they don't make that much...but once a year? NP
yeah, exactly! i haven't found a studio that quite hits the spot, so i joined here, to dig through the piles of vanilla looking for a few gems. I could have sworn czech fetish was on here last week, but maybe i'm mistaken. I don't think they are worth their own subscription, because, yeah, it's probably only 10 good clips, and i don't speak czech. Something just seems off with kinkvr, although they have a couple good ones. The english mansion has some good ones, but most are sidonia, who was great 20 years ago, but... pass.. Guess i'm just jealous of the vanilla types, for the time being..
it sucks but at the end of the day it is what it is, you have to comply with rules/laws no matter how much they stink, i fully understand, thanks for letting us know guys hopefully we can still have an awesome 2022 with many new awesome videos!!
The removal of some fringe categories is not the end of the world for me - life goes on - the thing that gives pause for thought is something more serious which will take out a massive amount of content - for example raising the legal age for porn stars to 21
abcrebel abcrebel At this moment we just need to clear things up for everyone. I'd wish there would be a public standard we could make sense of. I do also recognise that porn might go wrong if done inappropriately. Viewers should have a clear understanding one should not move things watched in porn into the real life.
We are just at the beginning of the exploration of different compliance codes. Making clear rules for everyone would be our first step in that direction. Everything is possible to handle with the right approach. We will lead the freedom in porn as long as we stay on the positive side of things.
Just going through the comments.
There's no way around for compliance. We just have to do it for the better.
Crypto is not helpful at all. Not only it's not reasonable to drop credit cards processing, but crypto billers are a subject to compliance themselves. Nor it's not only processing that requires compliance. If we want to be treated right we have to be compliant, that's it.
Yet we do our best to make sense of it and offer our creators a clear picture of where things stand.
I can envision feel a lot of great things happening as we are connecting with more cool people to bring things to the next level.
