  • Looking to re-brand SexLikeReal into sexual wellness product

Hey guys

Just looking for community feedback on my idea to re-brand http://sexlikereal.com/ into recreational sexual wellness product.

As the World Health Organization puts it:

Sexual health is fundamental to the overall health and well-being of individuals, couples and families, and to the social and economic development of communities and countries. Sexual health, when viewed affirmatively, requires a positive and respectful approach to sexuality and sexual relationships, as well as the possibility of having pleasurable and safe sexual experiences, free of coercion, discrimination and violence. The ability of men and women to achieve sexual health and well-being depends on their:

  • access to comprehensive, good-quality information about sex and sexuality;

  • knowledge about the risks they may face and their vulnerability to adverse consequences of unprotected sexual activity;

  • ability to access sexual health care;

  • living in an environment that affirms and promotes sexual health.

VR porn by itself provides much more personal and emphatic experience. On top of that we are having high compliance standards making us one of the most responsible platforms ever.

Significant number of users enjoys interactive sex toys, replicating the action from the movie in movements of their sextoys in every single second. We are also going to introduce it to live cam performers enabling remote intercourse by managing users sex toys.

The next step for us would be unlocking multiuser and spatial aspects effectively turning it into metaverse. Viewers can get a virtual representation of themselves, build clubs and groups and interact with each other. I know it's hard to believe for many of you, but that's the magic of VR.

All of that makes me believe that SexLikeReal should framed into recreational, educational selfness product that is helping and connecting people on a daily basis.

Looking forward for your feedback and working with people who resonate with this idea and know how to turn it into life. If you can point me out to the experts or places on reddit or elsewhere to further explore this idea I would be highly appreciate that.

    I think that is a great branding evolution. It does a lot to destigmatize and normalize access to sexual health experiences within the context of an ethically responsible platform, something of which should have already become a central tenant established in the mainstream industry, which points to it definitely being a meaningful direction.

    The idea is awesome actually. That being said, the problem you will most likely face is technology. The Oculus Quest 2, which would be the device that most people use to consume content over here is very limited in terms of its capability. To bring about a truly immersive experience, we would require more capable devices which can produce higher resolution 3D photoreal graphics which is impossible to achieve with current Quest 2 hardware.
    I think what FB would be going for with their metaverse is to make everything run on the cloud and stream it to the user facing headsets thus bypassing the hardware limitations, turning the headset into just a viewer. In that case just like every other game streaming service we have available right now, accessibility would be limited to those major cities where highspeed uninterrupted internet connections are available. FB also doesn't allow 3rd party developers to make streamtable interactive content for the Quest headsets as of now so that won't be an option, legally speaking.

    Just my thoughts.
    Feel free to correct me if you guys have solutions for these already.

    The key to making this work is accessibility. Really, you’re making a case that this will improve life for disabled people and people with mental challenges.

    To successfully do that, the videos themselves need to be accessible - closed captions for deaf folks, audio read out for blind, ability to adjust font etc for visually impaired. As amazing Porn has been, it still lags far behind in accessibility. Anyone making those videos rarely think about accessibility for the disabled.

    Then the ones with mental challenges. While not necessarily a causation, but there is a strong correlation between them and having poor finances which means they won’t have the best internet connection and equipment. So it needs to be somehow accessible to them as well.

    I’m highlighting those as critical to the success of reframing it for sexual heath which I agree with. It should be done and would truly help out millions.

    VR is perfect for this sort of thing

    i had a running joke for past ten years...if didn't jerk off, my heart rate would never be over 100bps

    kinda like golf for aging men...there is a lot of exercise going on...walking/swinging club/coordination

    people with disabilities...probably aren't too active sexually with partners for all kinds of reasons(mental/physical)...sometimes sex when healthy had it's own challenge sometimes

    the act of having sex can be pretty strenuous...for someone that has not been moving or exercising in anyway...it could be monumental

    on VR? nobodies watching...no need to be embarrassed about how far you fallen physically....seems to be the perfect match.

    get one of those those fake vagina torsos....build up your physical fitness.

    sure it would extend your life a few years easily and get to LOOK FORWARD to having sex...FACE 2 FACE with some of the hottest chicks on the planet...probably out of YOUR range your whole life

    "Brand" it however you want. The reality remains that for most users, VR porn represents a compulsive, addictive escape into a fantasy land. I grade it on a par with hard drugs, from personal experience.

    If you want to do a marketing exercise to sell more accounts, so be it. But you don't need ratification from the user base for that. I only hope you don't start to believe your own press.

      Citation needed.

      doublevr studies all authored by the same person and all sponsored by tenga 🤔 no conflict of interest to report 🙄 totally going to trust that

      Exactly! I think most guys (like me) are here for two reasons .... lust and loneliness...
      Especially the life cam girls make a business out of it... playing with feelings....
      However... its highly addictive! I see guys being here every day... spending huge amounts of money and definitely lost control... like in gambling, drugs, alcohol...
      But... it is how it is... and at the end, i am here too... 😉

      it can BE marketed to those with disabilities...the benefits ARE real

      that could be word of mouth....simple articles from people with disabilities on blogs or magazines

      as far as all the other stuff...so what...lots of things have the sort of moderation. THOUGH, for someone totally disabled, to get the motivation to exercise, so he could actually fuck a toy? very beneficial...even if he got addicted to it. ANY movement is good.

      mnmlikereal I can totally see that coming. We are going to investigate what's the best way to put it. I'd wish to get more wellness practitioners around. VR has a huge potential that way

      This is just my feedback as you asked what people think.

      For me porn is fantasy, not sex education and I’m really not looking for porn videos to start showing only what is healthy and responsible in real life sex. I’m not sure if that’s what you’re suggesting when you talk about responsible porn.

      I like all types of porn depending on my mood at the time. Sometimes I like really immersive loving GFE porn but other times I like really hardcore porn with anal, rough sex, slapping, watersports etc. I’m really not looking for sites to start becoming the porn police and telling me I shouldn’t watch certain types of porn as those sex acts are not healthy in real life, it’s bad enough with the credit card companies already effectively banning perfectly legal porn as it doesn’t comply with their own moral code. I’d rather have a huge spectrum of different types of scenes to pick and choose from.

      I may be totally misunderstanding what you are suggesting but it has me a little concerned, I’m not going to lie.

        The innovation & great content isn't going anywhere I'm sure 😀

        I think it's more about what the site and VR can potentially be (now and in the future), especially as it compares to the current stigma often associated porn. Right now despite how great or mind-blowing or impressive the content and tech is, 9/10 people's reaction will be: "meh, so it's porn".

        It's 2022 and we're basically living in "the future" with technologies that people have pretty much dreamed about for forever. And maybe somewhere in there, there's the possibility that Virtual Reality (and even VR porn) can be used for the better, and that general health & sexual wellness could be a part of that.

        But as I often have to disclaim, this is just my personal interpretation of everything.

        blaze466 I think many people have a stigma that porn enthusiasts are a sleazy, creepy community.

        I think most people watch it these days. Even most of the girls I have dated have mentioned that they watch porn often.

          GoodIdeaBadIdea I'm also inclined to think that way. Sex workers industry is huge, porn sites audience is enormous. I would expect more or less everyone to be there one way or another.

          The world would be much better place if people would be open about it

          petermc nah, we are not going to replace our regular content with sex ed. It's gong to be filthy yet we are exploring to put cool stuff into it that would greatly benefit it.

          We put the actual value into things and not bullshitting you guys

          That’s a relief! Well I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what you have in mind. I do wish there was less of a stigma associated with porn, especially for the performers who give us so much and I imagine suffer many real life problems as a result of their choice of career.
