🎉 Introducing AI Subtitles on SLR 🎉
- Edited
works well for an early version. few issues i've notice after trying it out. i tried out a few JAV scenes using the auto translation to english:
- subtitled don't always show up during dialogue. it seems to vary with scene to scene. you'll have sections in a scene were you have subtitles, and then sections were there are no subtitles at all. the worst i've notice so far was this scene. while watching the first 10 minutes of the video, it seems that more than half the dialogue is missing subtitles.
- i've notice odd translation where "you" and "I" are switched around. for some subtitles, the girl would refer to "you", but in context, it makes more sense that it should referred to herself as "I".
- for this scene, during the first 5 minutes or so, there was a section where the dialogue was not translated into english. it was showing the japanese text written in english instead. it happened for about a minute of subtitled dialogue, then switch back to english translation.
additionally with you and I sometimes he/she is switched as well, Japanese specifically
fixing Spanish subtitles
Now that we have AI-generated subtitles, I think it's a great time to spread the word—especially among content creators. A lot of European, Latin, and other studios tend to keep dialogue to a minimum, probably because of language barriers. But with AI subtitles in the mix, there's really no reason to hold back. Let the girls speak their minds and add more personality—it'll only make the content better!
Geez, there are some Patreon pages charging $20 a month for one video a month with scripts and subtitles. this is going to make it hard to justify those subs. especially when there's AI PT here as well....
Curious to see how the scripting ecosystem shifts when this gets rolled out completely
Hi....how can i read italian subtitles?
Are you planning to add the Polish language?
Is having immersion breaking subtitles on the screen a high priority for your subscribers? Immersion means it is like I'm there, and I don't speak Spanish or Japanese so I make up a scenario in my head that I am a clueless Yank abroad. I've hooked up a French Canadian once in Montreal, pre smart phone, and we could barely speak to each other; it was wild.

I'm all for these subtitles, it's huge for me, but...
I like knowing a little of the theme and storyline esp with JAV, so that's great, just enough. I can turn it on and off.
I'm probably your average user in Quest 2, focus mix on this text is a problem despite the array of your user tools, so this would be fantastic if I could turn on which eye sees the subtitles. They are so easy to read with one eye closed. Dang, can you make that happen? I'd always use that option.
As it is now, I turn them on, close one eye, get the gist of the story, toggle them entirely off. For this reason of focus you may be seeing uneven adoption of the subtitles function across your membership.
(Also, I don't think your post up top tells users where to find the subtitles in the control panel. I was waiting for an icon to appear on the video timeline for a few weeks, in a SLR App update.)
It's super great, though, I have some past JAV VR's in mind to re-watch now with the subs.

Totally feel you on this—subs are a game-changer, especially for JAV, but the focus issue on Quest 2 is real. Being able to choose which eye sees the text would be chef’s kiss And yeah, clearer instructions on where to find the toggle would help a ton too. Glad it’s helping you revisit old faves though!
Liking it so far, tyvm for implementing.
Two little items: 1. I would like to be able to set the default language. Like with JAV, it always defaults to Japanese characters. 2. I haven’t seen it work with whispering. It doesn’t seem like a volume issue though.
Thanks for your feedback! We have on our list to remember the chosen language and pre-select it automatically (if it's available). Will have a look for the whispering, if you have some particular video examples – would appreciate if you share the details.
