doublevr hello doublevr; I'll rephrase my proposal for this forum: basically, what is the purpose of this forum, because if there are rules that we can understand and that are clearly stated, it will be healthier for everyone ("lack of respect" and "unprofessional" is quite subjective, we should clarify what you mean by that): then either we respect them or we don't go there knowingly, knowing of course that it's not the user who decides but the company that sets its rules; but they have to be clear otherwise it creates a rather heavy atmosphere or we can actually be next on the list; if one of the rules is not to criticize the company or to imagine what the company has in mind when we're not in its head, ok, but we have to know it; and then - I allow myself a remark - there is always a kind of self-regulation of users in a forum, if there is one who says things that seem excessive to us, there are always other people (and me first) who will intervene; the slr site is my main site and it is the only forum-x (apart from reddit but very little) where I intervene; perhaps you can trust the community of users of the forum to balance things?

    This is more entertaining than the Uk Soaps at their peak i the 80's - Thank you guys 🙂

      PolishPerver SLR already has the "Trending" and New. What I was saying, is to have some extra sections that will include the flat videos, so they don't mix that much and users can navigate through the videos more easily.

      Of course "popular" doesn't necessarily mean it's something from a top studio, but on the "New" section, you can't sort that by popularity. That's why I think that videos/studios that have the best quality and past popularity should also be on top in the "New" section. Great videos released 2-3 days ago are still "New" but they get lost in the category and potential new users (or subscribers that don't use the site daily) won't see them unless they scroll through a lot of lower-quality content. This can result in a lower conversion of new users and views which results in lower income for SLR, Studios, Creators, Affiliates, Script Creators, etc.

      IMO, quality should also have a boost in the "New" section since that is the page most subscribers go to. Without this, what is the incentive studios/creators have to create great content in the future if they have almost the same exposure as with lower-quality content? High-quality videos are the ones that attract new users and keep the subscribers on the site.

        PolishPerver This is something VRP handles exceptionally well. When a new user lands on the site, they immediately see what’s trending and worth watching. And “popular” doesn’t necessarily mean it has to come from top studios – sometimes even smaller or niche creators release amazing videos that gain traction quickly.

        This right here. My studio on SLR is solely dependent on being featured in 'new' because it is hidden by filters and can't compete with a top tier studio. But on VRP most of my vids get featured in New, Hot Right Now, and Popular. Whenever you log onto VRporn you can usually see one of my videos somewhere on the front page as soon as you log on

          Here are my 2 cents.
          I have invested around 10x what SLR pays out for content that I shot and published here exclusively in the beginning. There is no way to recoup the shootings and you can't exclusively produce for SLR and survive.

          We need tools that boost creators and the revenue.

          Publishing on SLR makes it nearly impossible to build your own site, so I would really appreciate a way to launch scenes exclusively on SLR for buying with a 80% Onlyfans share and Automatic unlock for streaming after a set sales period. Basically give us Onlyfans functionality for studios to boost our income and help us with automatic Deo integration, hosting etc.
          The tools have been built already, adding sub seller sites for studios should be easy and could guarantee some exclusivity.

          I really don't want to go out and build a website that competes, I just want to focus on shooting glorious VR porn on the edge of the humanly possible.

          But currently the earnings from SLR and VRP together are not even 1/5th of the production cost, so I gotta come up with a plan.

          I got lucky with Crypto and can burn another 20k on top of the 30k I Invested until now, but the ROI of VR Porn is so atrocious that I am not surprised that there haven't been any decent scenes in the last year from any studio. Quality costs money.

          If SLR could build something to give creators a fighting chance in this market it would be highly appreciated.

            From the perspective of someone who has no interest in paying per video, a delayed release for flat rate subscription streaming would be acceptable. I don't care about watching a video two months later than others, there is enough on my watch lists that will keep me busy in the meantime.

            However, it is paramount that all locked scenes will enter the general library eventually (and I think you have already considered that). As soon as there is a certain percentage of videos that will be locked forever, it will be perceived as a devaluation of the premium subscription and I would demand to pay less for it, which in turn will reduce the ROI for creators further and sooner or later everything will be pay-per-video which will not help improving the overall situation for VR porn either.

                Slr is all about growing economy. There're many winning strategies within SLR market economy like producing the best in class content like Originals or VRSpy, unique niched stuff like VREdging perfectly matching sextoys users.
                Some niches are more demanded than others. We have created a strong value and are looking to make the market bigger as well giving more value to users.

                    I'm not convinced flat content is the problem here. 2D content is already separated from 3D. There is a toggle on the main page you can flip. The audience for 3D won't have their feed diluted.
                    But instead as @doublevr mentioned, having 2D content enables SLR to attract members that don't have access to a VR headset yet - this is a huge entry barrier, and this acts as a stepping stone to get more folks bought in to the VR content we all love.

                    Yet @KinkyGirlsBerlin noted that they saw their revenue decrease for the first time in this past month. I empathize, I really do. Because I pulled up a few videos from their channel out of curiosity, and it is clear that this creator puts a lot of work into their content. Their scenes are well thought out, and clearly made by someone passionate about what they do. I still doubt that the new flat content is the problem.
                    If I may offer an alternate possible explanation...

                    1. Assuming most of the SLR audience is in the US, times are rough here. Economy is poor, inflation high, and a lot of people are losing jobs. And with a poor economy, there are government shortfalls, and in turn new laws that squeezing folks with massive tax increases. I'm guessing folks just don't have enough disposable income to try out a monthly subscription plus an expensive headset.
                    2. KinkyGirlsBerlin channel content is a little bit niche. That is not a bad thing - it's good for the variety we have on the site. But it's going to be harder for your videos to make it to the top of the most popular page. It's just that they won't appeal to as broad of an audience. It's a hard tradeoff for creators to make... build the content you love to build and care about, or build what is popular. Knowing that if you move away from what you love to do, that element of passion will be gone and will be evident in the work.
                      I don't think the problem is lack of marketing, or unfair competition (promotional advantage) from other channels. SLR scenes are consistently at the top because they follow a general formula that appeals to the widest user base. SLRs recommended page is actually pretty good at pushing more niche content based on your watch history from my observations - that's why I'm not convinced there is unfair bias here. This may be the unfortunate reality of being a niche channel and not having a big enough base audience. I don't mean this to sound harsh - I really do empathize and it really sucks that you can't be successful doing what you enjoy.

                    @KinkyGirlsBerlin , I am sorry you were banned from this thread. I think this forum can be a great resource to creators - you have a direct line to your end customers. Some are very knowledgeable when it comes to the VR content space. And they all want to see studios like you succeed. I wish you the best and hope you are able to work things out and return at some point!

                      I will add to what @netcat said about what @KinkyGirlsBerlin could do to make they videos better from my point of view.

                      1. I would have loved your videos with the 3 hot girls that you did a 3 part series with. If there wasn't another guy in the background. I'm sure there are people that like cuck or just banging chicks with other dudes around but I'm guesses it is not the majority.
                      2. For me the camera is just too far away from you dick in every position. I already know you can zoom in but this causes another problem. It makes the picture get bigger. The picture is also too big to begin with.
                        I know about IPD and all the rest. But after years of watching and reading forums. I think most people see scaling about the same way I do.
                        I have no idea what camera you use and I remember that when you got the camera you had some of the best picture quality there was. People loved the picture but the scaling has always been too big.
                        Maybe the bigger reason the scale looks big is because the stunt cock guy seems to be a pretty tall guy. If you put the camera at the correct height for the stunt cock then for most people they are already starting too far away. Plus I think it is far away even for the tall stunt cock.

                      Because of these 2 things, I don't watch your scenes more of the time. I want to like them and I try lots of them. I will start them to see if I can zoom in enough without making everything huge. The problem is that there are other studios that don't have these 2 problems so I usually just turn yours off and move to the next scene.

                      SchnuppiLilac My take on the pay-per-video/ studio marketplace is a bit different. I really really don't like it.

                      @Arsians_com as an SLR user, I have zero interest in being charged more for 'studio exclusives'. I bought an SLR subscription with an understanding of access to the full library of content. Not so I would pay per video - that defeats the purpose of buying the subscription.
                      I understand the suggestion that the videos would be later released on a time delay to streaming, but it still feels like double-charging. It would be a hard pass for me and I expect it would leave a lot of other users with a bad taste.

                      Squeezing existing users for more money is not the answer here. While it might provide a bit of short term revenue, it does so at the cost of making the user value proposition worse. It's not good for the long term success of the platform. Instead, push to grow the SLR platform and get the user base up. A larger user base on the SLR platform means a wider audience for studios, more content for users, and growth for SLR. This way everyone wins.

                        Perceived competition from flat and growing competition in vr180 must be the reason of insecurity in this thread.

                        Users aren't giving anything away. Slr bridges the gap between vr headsets and smartphones which is huge right now.
                        Everyone is happy.
                        Transitions are never easy. All in all we are headed for much better use experience and content proposition by the end of the year.

                        Don't hate us for innovation. Some of the old stuff had to be broken in the name of better new.

                        netcat The viewers having spent money on lifetime and annual subscriptions have taken it on the assumption that this will be a VR only site. Same was the assumption by SLR partners when they publish VR scenes.
                        Now we have the entrance of established 2D competitors that surely gives users the choice. As a viewer I have limited time for porn. There are limited eyeballs watching this. Yes sure, as a hardcore VR fan I might stick to VR only. But most would look at the other 2D option as well given the choice. The watchtime I spend has been divided between new 2D competitors and VR. I'm making the assumption that SLR pays partner channels based on watchtime based algos. If part of the money I spent is going for 2D, then it is money that VR studios have lost out on. Mind you, VR studios are spending way more on production costs like expensive cameras and repairs, expensive equipment, longer shoot hours, educating the talent on positions and what not, expensive editing rigs, complex post processing, issues with maturity of VR cameras, focus issues, paying larger shooting teams etc. Add to this the major learning curve of mastering this art.
                        None of which are major concerns for 2D. They also have the numbers in their favour whenever someone enables that Immersivr Flat toggle. VR will get buried as KinkyGirlsBerlin has pointed rightly so.

                        Are VR studios compensated differently from 2D for these financial challenges they face all the time?
                        At this critical stage, when you see studios complain of making ends meet, try out approaches like remasters of same scenes, have longer release schedules etc and now we throw regular 2D at them, It makes me question the direction this is headed.
                        There's no way for me to know if SLR considers these challenges for partner channels when making the payouts ever since 2D was added. I hope they do. I really do.
                        If not, the quality of VR is to drop further if studios are struggling. Some might just stop.

                          KinkyGirlsBerlin have a suggestion and talk in regards to 'lifetime':

                          Lifetime isn't just done by SLR and many studios to lifetime. To be honest I would have not heard, of your studio unless I was on SLR.
                          Example is many lifetime studios or studios in SLR - have DVD's, merchandise, multiple non lifetime sites. Kinkvr is on VRPorn which is lifetime but there own site has no lifetime, purchase options.

                          Suggestion do surveys in the porn community or be involved in forums, see what people want. You have a niches so that is great.

                            Imho and my two cents; if SLR want to attract new consumers to this sit and convert them to VR cnsumers then a potential option could be to get some of the high earning solo performers from eg. ManyVids and/or Onlyfans models interested in releasing VR scenes on the SLR platform. Most of these performers always seek other revenue streams and they have large fan groups that are willing to pay for new releases and customs.

                            The issue for these models and I have been in contact with a few is that VR is out of their know-how. They are interested but simply lack the knowledge to setup a VR camera. Imho SLR could play a key part here by facilitate these models issues. Maybe proactive contacting them and offering them know-how, support and a platform to release on. SLR could be the manyvids for these models in VR imho.

                            I realise that most of these models will only accept pay per video revenue models and one could of course argue releases should be part of the SLR subscription. My view is that if these models bring new consumers to the platform some of them will sign up for SLR subscriptions and that will then indirectly mean higher revenue to existing studios, that can then offer higher quality products.

                            Anyway my 2 cents.
