We will be dropping converting flat to ai sbs for time being until we get better stereo algorithms. Doesn't seem like a huge boost and requires a lot of processing power.
Getting flat videos projected into vr hemisphere along with 60fps conversation gives the most improvement.

    Given the very small amount of likes on Flat video's it seems most users here are not interested in them and turned them off in their feed, me being one of them. I honestly doubt this is something VR users are interested in and it seems that the numbers agree that this might not be an good avenue for you guys to explore and/or invest in.

          Flat (immersive) video's would only be interesting for me when they're AI scripted. 99% isn't at the moment...

            It would be nice to see the following in some kind of immersive VR (although I’m still not clear what this is…I’d love an example)

            harigeharry some flat titles are super popular. It won't be popular until we get 10k videos library with thousands of weekly new videos.

                watched the feed while logged out the other day and the first page hardly had any VR in it. Weird for the biggest VR site... Shouldn't you focus on the VR experience for people that stumble on the site?

                  fenderwq You can just turn if off in the settings. Well you need to otherwise you indeed only see tons of flat video's.

                  Personally I'm afraid this won't do SLR any good. Most of the people interested in VR won't be interested in flat. I guess the reasoning is the other way around though and that SLR hopes to attract people interested in flat that then at some point might get interested in VR. But does that make sense? There are so many sites to watch flat porn for free. Unless you really add some new content, like SLR originals flat, I highly doubt it makes sense. And it would be a real shame to 'waste' resources on flat. All in all I worry.

                      the problem is that currently the flat videos feel very spammy with large fluctuations in quality so the good videos/studios get lost in the mix. most people aren't seeing how good these 3d converted videos done by the high quality studios look as they just press the button to filter all the flat. Also, since the 3d rendering comes after they're already uploaded, a lot of people who watched the vids out of curiosity when they first showed up likely saw they were 2d and never bothered to check them again after rendering was complete.

New users come to our website on a flat screen seeing some odd distortions saying “Watch in VR” are getting away before they even started. The goal is to entertain these users and eventually upgrade to VR. Plus, there’s a huge market for scripted flat videos we’d like to tap into.

                          We remain heavily focused on VR, but we’re also adding flat content for users who either don’t have a headset yet or just want a quick, easy way to explore SLR. Perfectly I can see us moving into TikTok UI/UX for flat. They will get far more in VR for sure, but we don’t want to lose them before they realize that.

                          We’ve built a strong brand with VR videos, scripts, Drive and our ongoing innovations. Now it’s time to apply those innovations to traditional porn—scaling things up for everyone’s benefit: more content, more users, and ultimately more people discovering just how incredible VR can be.

                          Currently we are a bit stuck in transition growing flat library and making everything work. Give it some few more months and you are going to love it

                              i truly enjoy watching flat in VR with all the great variety. Especially if 4K. 8K is truly mindblowing in VR.

                                I know that SLR is committed to getting lots of flat videos. I just don't see why anybody would spend money for these videos when they can get them for free.
                                Unless you script all of them. I don't know how big the market is for people using a Handy with watching videos on their phone. And are there other sites that have AI scripts for flat videos for free? Otherwise it is just going to be people that are already subbed to SLR for VR that every once in awhile watch a flat scene. Why pay for free porn?

                                  doublevr just pointing out that if a user with my interest would have stumbled on your site they'd would think: ahh just another 2d site let's find a proper VR site. First time experience for people who don't care about 2D is important too. VR is where your strength is after all
